I find it difficult to say much about people or companies that have excelled in their field so bear with me, but in short this company are exceptional in their field.

In January 2023 we received a call from our tenants parents to say the house was on fire and it was a serious fire. To cut a long story short we were faced with an insurance claim and the reinstatement cost which was estimated to be about £120k. The next day we were contacted by a representative of Harris Balcombe but when I took the call I thought it was a journalist and hung up!! Subsequently he rang back, introduced himself, and we met him at the property. Andy his name was, he talked us through the process and after a day or so we agreed to instruct Harris Balcombe. We are so glad we did. Jonathan Ingham has progressed the claim and he has been nothing but professional, friendly, and clearly very knowledgeable. He has liaised with the loss adjuster and the other contractors who were progressing the work and has taken the sting out of the process!

The service we have received from everyone concerned has been of a platinum standard. Thank you so much Harris Balcombe but in particular Jonathon, you may be swan like, calm on the surface but paddling like hell underneath, but you have made this process very smooth, and for that we are extremely grateful.

I look forward to seeing you next week when the property is handed back to us, it may have been 9/10 months but it has gone so quickly!

I genuinely cannot speak highly enough of Harris & balcombe, they are without a doubt the best company I have ever dealt with.
My business premises was flooded and a mistake I made myself leaving a tap on.
Initially when I called my insurance company and they sent out a representative, he made me feel like I had done it on purpose which was absolutely ludicrous as we had just had a refurbishment just prior to the accident and while they were investigating it, he told us to continue using the premises as they believed it was still fit for purpose, even though the roof had fallen through and electric cables were hanging down plus this was open to the public as this was the shop area which was affected the most.
It really was the most depressing time of my life and the insurers were not interested leaving me with a flooded building and not paying out.
Then everything changed when we found these guys, they took on my case, assured everything would be ok and to cut the story short, my insurance paid out and I had all the work done and not just that Harris & balcombe even arranged all the building work etc.
On top of that we were also able to relocate whilst all the work went on which was also covered by the insurance.

These guys saved my business and livelihood which I have worked incredibly hard to build.

I want to say a special thanks to Jeremy & Mark, you really are the dream team and life savers.

I have never made an insurance claim in my life and came to learn quickly if you have to make a claim, the insurers will do everything they can in their power and scare tactics to minimise the pay out to an absolute minimum and treat you like dirt, well having H&B on your side, they will work tirelessly to get the absolute maximum and more paid out, things you wouldn't even think of that you are entitled to.

Hopefully I'll never have to make an insurance claim ever again, but if do or anyone I know who needs to these guys will be my first call.

I'm going to try and keep this review as little about AXA home insurance as I can but i will just say that they would be getting a zero star review.
Harris Balcombe and more specifically Jonathan Ingham was an absolute superstar and worked his socks off for me. He became more of a friend over the 12 months it took for AXA to get their finger out and return me to my house after the fire but he was also completely professional when needed. I could reach him on watsapp, email or phone and he would always get back to me if he was busy and I needed a question answering (sometimes even late at night as I work nightshift)
He sorted everything for me from chasing AXA over things that should have been sorted to all the building work that was carried out and all this fantastic service was free of charge to myself.
I can't recommend them highly enough. I wouldn't wish this absolute tragedy on anybody but if it does happen to you please give them a call.
