Excellent service from start to finish. Alex Balcombe’s communication was very good.
It is important to add that HB can only control what they can control in any claim being claimed (processed) . Time , payout size. Etc.
The only comment that I would make is that our earliest expectation of payout was substantially higher than our actual payout. (approximately 50%) .
1 outiler quote for our works to be undertaken totally undercut all the other quotes. This materially affected what we were paid out.
That said the eventual payout helped reduce our repair costs meaningfully. It’s a complex process & HB knew what they are doing.

We can’t recommend this company enough, they were with us, helping and supporting us every step of the way at one of the worst times of our lives. Every person we dealt with went above and beyond and Samantha Hamer is a truly wonderful lady who I can’t thank enough for everything she has done for us. I don’t know what we would have done without her and this company in general, we are forever grateful and feel blessed that Harris Balcombe were there when we need help!

We approached Petar at HarrisBalcombe a few days ago regarding the 3 year saga we have had with an insurance company over a subsidence claim. His efficiency and support has been impressive - putting us in touch with a subsidence expert has already helped to get some perspective on the complex situation.

In May 2019 my business was destroyed by a devastating fire. I contacted Harris Balcombe to help me navigate the insurance claim. The claim was fraught with problems and delays due to the loss adjuster, who sought to obstruct many aspects of the claim. Thank goodness for Mark Burke who saved the day. His expertise and diligence was first class and I will be eternally grateful to him for securing a fair settlement from my insurers. Having said that, the claim for business interruption is still ongoing! Again, if it wasn't for Mark Burke and his team pursuing it, I would have given up long ago.

Sam and the team were excellent. We had two major fires at the same property we were so impressed with Harris Balcombe we used them on both occasions. This was a rented property and the tenants were an absolute nightmare. They spun things out for two years and tried to sue us for £90,000. Could not have got through this without Sam's expertise. We could always contact her if needed. She worked tirelessly on our behalf which wasn't easy with nightmare tenants like ours. That didn't phase her. After a house fire in Sept 19, Sam helped us through the Insurance Claim. We couldn't have done it without her. We were unaware of the finer details of our policy, for example being re-housed temporarily.

Without the involvement of Harris Balcombe throughout the period of our insurance claim due to a major house fire, i doubt i would have come out at the other end of the process in one piece. The Harris Balcombe team, led for us by Jonathan Ingham, have been supportive throughout what has been a traumatic year for us following extensive flooding at our home in December 2022.
Jonathan has 'held our hands' through the entire process which is now approaching its anniversary. He supported us developing an action plan to manage the restoration work and handling the subsequent insurance claim, which has been complicated. He has himself spoken to and managed our interface dealing with surveyors, insurance claims managers and loss adjusters and potential builders and related service providers.
Jonathan's knowledge and understanding of what needs to be done, by whom and when, has been critical. He has been proactive where needed and responsive to our numerous calls and emails.
Initially we considered running the claim and repair programme ourselves but with hindsight, we are delighted that we did not do this and regard the investment made in having the professional support provided by Jonathan and the HB team, as well worthwhile.
I would be very happy to recommend them to anyone else in the same or similar situation to us.
