DISHONEST - Avoid at all costs if you want a good service and don't want to be lied to..
Considering my being a good customer of Halliwell Jones BMW over the past 10 years, I recently bought a car from them and had the worst experience ever from a number of their employees. In my recent experience the service level is very poor, they have been 'slapdash' and dishonest. Basically everything you would not want to see in what is meant to be a reputable dealership. Never again.

I went to halliwell jones and from what i saw was pleased to see the show room and meet sales staff all seemed good.I bought a new BMW coupe and things went ok with the sale the car was fine no problems. After 12 months I found the coupe was not a practical car with the room in the boot and with the rear seats down you could not put anything large into this space. I decided to change this car for a BMW 1 series M sport hatch back which gave more room to put things in. At this point I had been happy with this dealer ship. After the purchase of this car a few weeks later I received a letter from BMW finance asking me for around £57. I phoned Halliwell Jones and asked to speak to the sales manager about this shortfall in the deposit which was now more than the deposit that they had asked for. I was told by Dermott that I was not to worry about this and he would get in touch with BMW finance and sort it out. A few weeks later I got another letter from the finance company saying that this amount was now to be payed by me. I contacted BMW finance and told the that Dermott was dealing with this they said he had called them about this but did not do anything .This is how they treat you at Halliwell Jones after buying two cars from them and it was there mistake in the figures for the deposit . They were happy to let this happen over £57
and they never intended to let me know that the finance company would come after me demanding payment .I will point out that there had been a change in staff since I had bought the first car and was not for the better in providing customer service which I expected from a BMW dealership. In the end I Payed the £57 myself a small amount to loose a customer and never received an apology from them . I have just recently bought a new car again but not from Halliwell Jones . Says enough about this dealership .

Excellent, professional and pleasant service as always from Halliwell Jones BMW North Wales. It’s always a lovely experience taking my vehicle for its regular services - and additionally, on this occasion, a recall rectification. The courtesy cars offered are always superb. My service advisor is very knowledgeable and keeps me fully updated regarding the status of my vehicle. I’ve dealt with a number of BMW dealers in the last 25 years and Halliwell Jones North Wales are the best!

About 5 years ago I was driving my nearly new BMW when suddenly a warning came up Low tyre pressure This worried me and as I was not sure what to do and as I was near
Lloyd BMW Colne I went in and spoke to a sales person about what happened. I had never spoke or visited them before. He said wait here I will get you some help,he reappeared with someone from service department who asked me for my keys took car away he came back about 10 minutes later explained to me he had put some air in one tyre and reset computer. I thanked him and went on my way.
I was going to Halliwell Jones Southport to try and sort out a long standing problem I was having with my satellite Navigation system when I got a warning incorrect tyre pressure on my £46,000 BMW bought from them. I asked the tech guru could he sort my car tyre, he said he was not allowed but to ask service department
I spoke to service department to ask could they sort my tyre out, I was asked had I got an appointment When I said no as this only happened on the way there I was informed I would have wait at least 3 hours or book in in for tomorrow.
I left disgusted leaving the three service agents tapping there pencils on there desks, the tech guru walking about and what was probably 8-10 sales personal either talking to each other or just looking at there computer screens and set of on my 27 mile journey home.
I will let anyone who reads this to determine where to go for any assistance with your BMW

Mis-sold and disgusted that Halliwell Jones North Wales Mini pressured my mother (73 years) into buying a car that she didn't want. She actually wanted a higher spec brand new car but salesman pressured her into taking a stock car with no Sat Nav in 2020 !!!!

When tried to cancel, told not possible and offered to go to another branch of Halliwell Jones in Wilmslow who by contrast were very helpful

My mum has since decided that the whole experience has put her off a Mini purchase as future servicing would result in her dealing with Mini North Wales....

Refund still outstanding

We bought a second hand nearly new car and the salesman Stewart was excellent. Once we had left the dealership we had a serious issue with one of the managers. We made a complaint and were treated badly without even an apology from the garage manager and Halliwell Jones senior management. They investigated without asking us for a single bit of evidence from our side which is obviously one sided and decided to dismiss our complaint. When I called the garage manager I was accused of trying to blackmail them when I asked how we could resolve this or be compensated for this very serious, upsetting event.

I will never trust or use Halliwell Jones again and expected much better care from a BMW dealership.
