This was my first visit to Go Outdoors Exeter, to buy my first pair of walking boots. I was served by Alfred who was approachable, friendly and very helpful. He gave me advice and knew his stuff. Took my grandson to buy fishing hooks and bait. We are complete beginners, Robbie talked us through what we needed and taught us both, in great detail, how to use the equipment, even how to knot the hook onto the line, easy to follow instructions, giving me and my grandson confidence which enabled him to have a wonderful afternoon fishing! Brilliant Staff…
I went in to GoOutdoors and wanted to browse. In many stores like this, the staff are pretty apathetic and don’t really engage. A young lady passed me to Harry, who was very knowledgeable about roof tents and boxes. Sam helped me with tables and a fridge and Alfred - who was on the checkout - was superb. They were all engaging, knowledgeable and very helpful and any store would benefit from having staff like those at GoOutdoors Exeter. Well done to all and thanks.

Robbie in the Exeter fishing section, was excellent. We had no idea what we needed. He knew the local area and advised what we'd need. Walked out with good quality fairly priced equipment. Now happily fishing the canal. Perfect

Alfred at the Exeter Branch was great! He brought me all the walking shoes I asked for and was very friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble! He gave sound advice and was very helpful and patient. An excellent member of staff!

Third broken tent pole, with a happy ending
I came back in again with my third broken Berghaus bedroom tent pole! Luckily for me a really helpful man, his name is Jake took a lot of time and trouble to find me a replacement pole out the back. No spares so I brought a replacement pack with discount kindly given by Jake as I had to buy a pack. Jake then took everything out the back and replaced/fixed my broken poles. What a star! 🤩
