Paddington mid sleeper
Purchased the paddington midsleeper via argos over the months I noticed little brown marks appearing on the wood then paint started bubbling and peeling. Still within warranty period and the company was fast in acknowledging the issues and they did send out a replacement and took the one i had to inspect further. i did actually love the quality of the wood itself but the finish is very poor. I received the replacement yesterday this morning opened one box and the same issues i overlooked the first time which then became a bigger issue is the same issue with the replacement. You can feel the finish over the paint is missing in certain places so it feels rough where the paint is just over the wood with no protection over and very tiny part where the paint has come away. The quality and sturdiness of the materials is great but the finish doesn't match the price. I went straight back to argos and just requested a refund because no way am I having the stress off putting it up to have to take down again because these little faults become bigger issues. Think just needs better paint job (very thin layer) can slightly see the colour of the wood under and it in the sections where you can feel the roughness of the wood and top coating needs to be covered evenly all over to prevent later issues.
Im back to my little one sleeping in my bed while I look for a bed with the same quality wood but a way better overall finish paint/protection wise.
Hopefully the company would honour my request for a refund because im not asking for another replacement but we will see only put request through this morning so id update when I hear what they are saying.

Three weeks after ordering I haven’t received my items
Ordered on 30th August, almost 3 weeks ago. Products were advertised as arriving in 3-5 days. I’ve been told my items are still sitting in the warehouse waiting to be dispatched and no one can confirm when I will get them.
I think they’ve switched delivery company maybe - such a shame as they used to be such a reliable company with lovely kids furniture.
Customer service has been very polite but ultimately unhelpful as all they can tell me is “your items are sitting in the warehouse and no one knows when you’ll get them”.
I will shop elsewhere in the future. I have a very disappointed 3 year old who keeps asking when he is getting all of the new stuff for his bedroom!

My order arrived a month later
My order arrived a month later, was not kept up to date and could not track it. As it was a large order I felt that customer service was shocking. They arrived after I had sent two emails. The crates themselves are okay. I ordered these as part of a renovation for my grandsons bedroom that had to be put on hold as the joiner had only a small window of time to build the shelf unit for them. I would not order anything again from this company.

I am so sorry that the delivery of crates took so long to arrive, I can see you ordered in July when we were in the middle of a warehouse move which caused a number of problems with locating stock. Appalling experience
I placed an order for six items on 17th August, which arrived seven days later. Unfortunately, one item was missing.
What followed was extremely disappointing. It took 11 emails and nearly a month for the missing item to finally be sent.
To be fair, they did respond to every email within 48 hours. However, the response was repeatedly the same: “We will ship the item as a priority.” This continued for 25 days, but the item still wasn’t dispatched.
In my final email, I made it clear that I was extremely unhappy with the situation, questioned their customer service and said I would take the matter further if it wasn't resolved.
Remarkably, within two hours — almost to the minute — of sending that email, my missing item was dispatched.
Once the order was finally complete, I was happy with the products and pleased with the quality. Unfortunately, though, this was my first experience with the company, and the way the missing item was handled has completely put me off ordering from them again.
