We decided on a new kitchen during lock down and dropped into Gideon Robinson at Haggs Road.
From the moment we walked in, we knew the quality of offerings here were a cut above anything we had seen else where.

We were greeted by a nice gentleman, let him know what we were after, he asked many probing questions on what our lifestyle was like, our budget, what colours we liked etc.

From that conversation, came a kitchen design that we would never have considered or designed for ourselves. All appliances are Neff and It is highly functional, individual and of particular good quality. Nothing is flimsy, all units are rock solid inside and out.

The installation happened exactly when it was supposed to, we were kept fully updated on when things were happening and how long they would take.
The installers came and had the kitchen assembled very quickly. They were knowledgeable, considerate and cleaned up after themselves.

The attention to detail is great, from bookmatched stone wrapping around a corner to custom ventilation solutions for the downward extractor.

Gideon and his team couldn't do enough to make the process as smooth as possible.

A proper local family business run by true gentleman who did absolutely everything right. 👏

We are delighted with our new kitchen. This is the second time we have used Gideon Robinson. The kitchen was scheduled to be fitted in the spring of 2020 however the Covid lockdown caused an inevitable delay. Gideon Robinson managed the delay as best they could given they had supplier issues to deal with themselves.If I was being hyper critical I felt at times communication from Gideon Robinson could have been a little better, however, the end result is fantastic and well worth waiting for. The quality of the German made units are first class and I would encourage anyone considering buying a kitchen to look at the extensive granite work top options from Gideon Robinson's specialist supplier.

The designer at Gideon Robinson was not one bit fazed by the long list of "I would like..." when he came to see the kitchen I was hoping to replace. And he delivered - more than was asked of him. He generously gave of his time at the planning stages explaining, advising, altering, re-designing without demur. As did Gideon himself, as technical director, together with a team of expert tradesmen. The attention to detail was extraordinary. And that should include the firm, Granite Systems, who installed the worktops. Nothing was too much for any of them. They worked steadily and always left the area in which they were working clean and tidy. The gentlemen who delivered the kitchen fittings and uplifted that which required to be disposed of, or which could be re-cycled, were so courteous and helpful, I really must commend them, too. Since the circumstances prevailing during the installation ( i.e. delivery from Europe, lorry driver shortages, access to materials, etc. etc.) made it difficult for everyone in house renovation or the building trades to be absolutely confident about dates of completion and so on, the staff at GR remained patient. Behind the scenes, Pamela assisted and supported the team and me with friendly courtesy. Hence, I now have a marvellous new kitchen which I am so very much enjoying. The waiting game was definitely worth it! I love the new found access to the once blank corners of the kitchen, the handleless doors and drawers. which close softly, etc etc. I could go on and on and on. The practical wee touches the manufacturer of the kitchen added to the cabinets are highly appreciated. Thank you from the heart Alan D, Gideon, Pamela, Allan B and all the team. We went to Gideon Robinson, not sure if we’d be able to get the kitchen we wanted within our budget, we shouldn’t have worries. Several design options were given to us before we decided on our finished design. Everything was delivered on time and as expected with great communication throughout our dealings with them. The partner company they used for the worktops were also second to none. I would definitely reccomend a visit to see their kitchens and products.

I contacted Gideon to update /replace my extractor hood in my kitchen. He did a fantastic job with the replacement. Co-ordination of parts needed, design, timing and being kept up to date was excellent. All site contractors were clean and tidy. Would recommend to anyone thinking of getting a new kitchen.

The hunt for a well designed and good quality kitchen is hard work. Advice from many different sources is plentiful but often confusing, and at times conflicting. The choice of products is staggering and the design possibilities seem endless. After spending countless nights on Pinterest etc., and gaining a general sense for what we wanted, we just needed someone to translate our wish list and garbled ideas into a coherent design (surely straight forward enough, right?!)

After various design consultations which were, to be honest, underwhelming and left us feeling quite deflated, we approached Gideon with our ideas. Within a very short period of time he presented us with an outstanding design which went well beyond our expectations and included some clever design features that could only be generated by someone with high levels of experience, attention to detail and design acumen. In the following weeks we asked every conceivable question, tweaked the design and re-tweaked the tweaks. Gideon’s patience was remarkable, his product knowledge forensic, and design eye exceptional. It's important to note that he worked exceptionally hard to keep the cost within our strict budget while maintaining our lengthy wish list. His 3D rendered images were so helpful in the decision making process and his advice on aspects of the wider interior design proved to be invaluable.

The kitchen fitting experience was never going to be easy with the coordination of other work in the house but it came together smoothly and professionally. We have nothing but admiration for the quality of work and finishing achieved by Alan and John. Gideon has clearly crafted an excellent team of staff who know their products, work well together and have a great eye for detail.

In summary, we are beyond pleased with our kitchen and delighted with the entire process from start to finish. Gideon kept a watchful eye on how the project was progressing, checked in on several occasions to make sure that we were happy and kept us up to date at every stage. We would have no hesitation at all in asking Gideon to design and install our next projects, and have already recommended him to family and friends.

Our new house build project involved Gideon Robinson designing and installing our dining kitchen and utility, a wine cellar, a tea preparation area, four bedroom wardrobes and large bookcase. We are absolutely delighted with the beautiful results and thank Dave Penman and the team for their commitment to our project from first consultation to final fit - they are a truly competent, professional and creative company going the extra mile to help us realise our dream.

2020 was such a challenging year for us all and our installation took a little longer than expected but all worth the wait. Gideon designed our fantastic kitchen/en-suite & fitted hall cupboards and we are absolutely over the moon his installation team were just the best ever, where there were minor problems there was always a resolve - thanks to you all.

From design through installation to aftercare service we are delighted with all aspects of our new kitchen .Fitting a kitchen prior to Xmas can never be an easy time to install, but Gideon and his team were always on hand and ensured the project was completed on time . Gideon Robinson and his excellent team helped us execute a dream to create a 7.5m x 4.9m Living Kitchen from our previous small kitchen and separate dining room...during all the challenges of 2020.

Senior designer Alan Dunlop enabled us to realise our dream with a quiet and under stated competence. His wealth of experience and design ideas instilled confidence and helped us visualise what has turned out to be a high quality design, product and service, with no hint of a pressured sales pitch.

Gideon has quietly & carefully overseen the operation, delivery and installation during a very difficult season. There have been unavoidable challenges and delays, but we appreciated what we observed to be a practice of 'underpromising and over delivering '.

We are delighted with the build quality of the units. No snagging was required which points to the excellent installation by GR fitters.

Delighted with our kitchen. Gideon gave such attention to detail in its design and this level of care continued through its installation. A big benefit was that the whole room was taken care of - walls, flooring, splashback etc - with Gideon managing the different tradesmen.

We started our kitchen design in April 2020 from our home in Spain while Dave Penman was in his office in Glasgow. Online meetings were a new concept to both Dave and ourselves, especially for such a large purchase. We met regularly online with Dave to discuss our desires and ideas for our new kitchen. Dave made the whole process very straight forward and I felt confident that our kitchen was going to be everything we had ever dreamed. Dave listened to what we wanted in our kitchen and designed it perfectly for our family.
We decided on a Schüller kitchen and it is wonderful; very striking, chic and inspires me to cook better!
In the end, doing our meetings online and over the telephone did not detract from the buying a new kitchen experience. The restrictions did not delay the arrival of our kitchen and was delivered as planned. As we are now spending more and more time at home we have a fabulous new kitchen to enjoy.

Personally we cannot rate Gideon highly enough. A true professional with a genuine personal touch. From 1st appointment to sign off first class customer care/service. Absolutely delighted with the quality and workmanship.
