Absolutely terrible experience with this firm. The service has gone from bad to worse. They blame their clients for not providing paperwork on time even though documents are hand delivered to them. They are ridiculously rude and incapable! Now they've been closed down by the SRA. Speaks volumes!

Used these guys for the purchase of my first house. Completely unprofessional, rude and error after error. Our solicitor walked out without notice (probably terrible place to work) - no one told us, so after sending off all our documents, many emails to find out what was going on and impossible to get anyone on the phone - they tell us she’s left and can we send everything again as they haven’t been received. They incorrectly filled in paperwork 3 times in a row and apparently didn’t know the process for using a life time ISA as they only knew help to buy ISA?! AVOID.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. I wish I could give them negative stars. These people messed up the land registry when I bought my flat. When I asked them to rectify their mistake they were incredibly rude and unhelpful. They delayed and ignored me until then just closed the conveyancing part of the business without sorting out their mistake or paying back the money I paid for the land registry.
After three years of still nothing
After three years of chasing my paperwork I find that everything I thought this firm stood for is a shame. I’ll now approach law society or other bodies to obtain my legal documents to show I own a portion of my land. Really disappointed as I thought these people were personal friends and trusted them implicitly when my husband died.
Disgraceful
Disgraceful. Have been waiting 2 years for a simple statutory declaration to be completed and have heard nothing back. They have taken payment too. We need to name and shame as this isn't just a firm but the staff who work for them. Carole Wasp was dealing with it and never returned any updates. Now I find out they have closed up.

Appalling beyond words
I have honestly never experienced such appalling service in my life. I will also be contacting the SRA or legal ombudsman as my complaint from a year ago is still not dealt with and now they just don’t answer any emails. Website doesn’t seem to exist, and I feel that my legal executive has vanished also - meaning my contact has left twice and the company hasn’t the decency to tell me. I am seriously worried how they are allowed to be in business
Disgraceful!
In January 2020 we completed the purchase of our property and used this company. It has come to light that this year that they did not complete 2 pieces of work we have paid for. For 7 weeks we have been trying to contact via phone call and email, with no response. I have also had my mortgage broker chasing. I find this service appalling and would not recommend them to anyone. I will be contact the Legal Ombudsman next week when my complaint was raised 8 weeks ago.

Our offer was accepted 17 weeks ago, we got our mortgage offer 12 weeks ago, and we have not heard a thing from the solicitors since!!

DO NOT USE!!! Absolutely disgraceful solicitor. They did the sale of our house, never answered important emails or calls and made so many errors, they were totally rude and obnoxious. Then when they were appointed to the purchase of a house they told me at 7 WEEKS into the purchase (after ignoring all calls and emails) that they couldn’t represent us because our mortgage lender wasn’t on their panel! We told them on day 1 who our lender was!! Ive had to start the process from scratch with a new solicitor 8 weeks down the line and theyve ended up costing us in excess of £4,500. Please, for your own health do not use this solicitor they are beyond disgusting what they do to people!!! They should be written off by the Law Society

Would give minus stars if I could , they are my buyers solicitors and haven’t answered the phone or emails in over a week , was supposed to exchange contracts which they haven’t done so now they have cost me an extra 4K in stamp duty !!!!!! Absolutely appalling company .

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! After 20 weeks of selling our bungalow we have - for our own health and sanity had to withdraw from the sale. Our buyer was with this solicitor - 3rd in chain of 4 and it has been a nightmare. They ignored our solicitor and our estate agent. When they finally got to speak to someone they were lied to and promised call backs and paperwork to be sent , and every time it never happened. They are a disgrace to their profession

4 houses in our chain, Garner Canning represents 2 houses, they are absolutely disgusting in their treatment of our purchase. There is no communication whatsoever to their clients or the other solicitors in the chain. We are still awaiting completion and our sale confirmed in late May! There is no cover when a solicitor goes on holiday so all cases are just postponed until they are back. There are four families living out of packed up boxes because one solicitor has a holiday! Get some damn cover! I have made three formal complaints to both Martin Canning and Terry Mills all unanswered as they just do not care.
Awful service. No communication
In a chain, they represented the first time buyer and held everything up. No communication or response from them. In frustration I turned up at the office, reception was unmanned and phone just rang out. No one cares. Be warned do not bother.

Do not work for this company!! Many serious issues at this solicitors. Continue to take on more clients than they can handle. No respect for their employees, comments taken completely out of context to make a big deal out of something which was nothing. Rude and disgusting attitude towards clients but also staff. Directors/PA attitude towards young members of staff is appalling when only offering to help. When I left this solicitors explaining my reasons why for termination I received no apology or acknowledgment regarding their awful behaviour. Shocking as these people have kids themselves!!! Also I was told to ignore all negative reviews about this company as apparently they are “slander” and “lies” but I soon figured out for myself the reviews were nothing but honest. Avoid at all costs.

Awful!!!! Over a six month period of selling my property calls and emails were not answered. No response on online portal messages. I sent a complaint to the manager without a response. I was dealing with a trainee solicitor who when I did manage to get hold of her told me she had had a lot of time off!!
My buyer pulled out and I asked them to urgently call me and to this day no one was got in contact. It took them a month to respond to my buyers solicitor. My estate agents even contacted them without a reply. Absolutely awful service!!!!
Very difficult
We instructed Garner Canning to commence conveyancing for us, in the first few weeks (after struggling to get in contact to make the initial payment) they were good, and seemingly quick…
How wrong were we?
We were assigned a trainee solicitor, overseen by a more experienced solicitor, both certainly did not perform to the usual level of soliciting that had been proven prior to our signing with them.
They began to ignore our attempts to contact them (phone, email and moving portal app). Knowing this was not the same standards as what they had previously shown, our mortgage advisor contacted the main boss, who also decided to ignore contact.
We removed our purchase from their care and went to a different solicitor.
They closed their conveyancing office at the end of August 2021!
We were given a refund for the remaining amount on our account

BAD isn’t the word… I came on here to check the reviews and saw it had a lot of negative comments but also saw a handful of positive comments so I thought we would take the chance and boy was that the worst decision of my our life’s. This company made this move the worst experience in my life.
-No communication
-Solicitors left and we weren’t told until the last day, then stayed and we weren’t told that either.
- I have a screenshot of the 100 calls I had to make to get through to the solicitors.
- Even when you do get through you get the “solicitors is away at their desk”
- we wrote an email everyday and hardy got any replies and when we did it was at 8:30pm at night?
- On the day of completion we weren’t kept up to date about what’s going on, we had to ring the estate agents at 3 o’clock to find out what was going on and they were lovely enough to keep ringing us back and tell us when the keys were ready.
There is so much more but to sum all this up, just stay away and find a better solicitors.
