Tim came to the Porton Over 60s meeting last month and gave a marvellous talk. Cheered us up no end! So thanks Tim it was good to see you and much appreciated.

My property has been managed quite some time by Fussell’s and to be fair, we have never had any problems. My latest tenant gave notice and left the property. When I inspected the property, i could not firstly believe the state the tenant left it in. Out of respect, you would naturally leave the property to a certain standard to the point there is grease marks/stains up all the walls, carpets destroyed and a smell which a tramp would even be afraid of. I met someone from Fussells and Atkons who manage the property together now and the person from Atkons even said they have never seen a property left like this. As the person couldn’t look after there own hygiene, the person from Fussells couldn’t help but to feel sorry for them after all the money we have paid them as a fee over the years to trust our property is looked after. Apparently all of this stuff was ‘wear and tear’ and my responsibility. I was advised that the property would be cleaned along with the oven, which I was to find only the oven was cleaned. The property is destroyed, to the point it’s going to take weeks to repair and decorate all because Fussells were incompetent on doing there checks properly and making sure the property was left when we first rented it out. I would never use these again due considering you pay them a fee and trust to look after your property and because the tenant had a certain situation, you are left to deal with all of it. Never have I seen someone live in such a filthy environment, more so Fussell’s letting the tenant leaving the property like this and thinks it’s acceptable. Absolutely disgusting!

2.1/2 years after I regained my home that I trusted Fussells to let out responsibly, I am STILL living in abominable conditions after they allowed their tenant to destroy my home. In my mid '70s and alone they took advantage of my vulnerability, knowing I am all alone.
Let their tenant ruin my home and virtually laughed at me. Offered no explanation for not giving me the inspection reports that I have been paying them for, for years. They trumped up some suddenly made blank reports, forgot to mention all my doors have disappeared, floors ripped up, house now being LESS THAN HALF ITS VALUE AFTER THEY LET THEIR TENANT DESTROY EVERYTHING. I don't have long to live but if it is the last thing I do, I will try to get justice even though I am disabled and alone.
Later: Aug 2023. FIVE YEARS Later, I have had a major mental breakdown every year since moving back into my wrecked house, cannot afford to use expensive builders to carry out all the necessary work and getting on for 80, I certainly can no longer do this sort of work myself. Fussletts have without doubt totally ruined what little life I have left. 5 years of PTSD, unable to eat, malnutrition. They have just about killed me.

They rented out my own home and allowed it to be destroyed.
I have lost at least £50,000 in capital, cost of repairs would be about £20,000, plus management fees paid out in thousands for looking after my interests.
All the vicious damage and thefts were never reported to me.
