Yeah I like it
I enjoy the Jewel Quest games and don't mind playing them over and over. The car commercials don't apply to me a non-driver. Rather have commercials between games than just as game is ending. Throws me off course. Sometimes game freeze up and I have to log out of computer.

VIDEO FLASH PLAYER ADVERTS
Hi there, games are great when you can play them.. Guess what, every so often throughput the game (I mostly play Hidden Object Games)the screen etc freezes and an advert for Video Flash Player appears. No that you can see it, it comes on behind the playing screen and even if the 'click' it, it does not move. Lasts for about half a minute then game starts again. This has happened on the last 3 games I have played -Atlantic Journey,
-Agatha Christie 4.10
and another I cant remember now.
Perhaps Free Rise games can answer this query or do I have to give up their otherwise very good service and look elsewhere for games. By the way, I am happy with the size of screen although some of the objects you have to find are rather small!

After playing the games for a while the game will pause and play what is called a "Mid-Roll" advertisement. Think of this like a mini commercial break.
After the ad plays through (usually 20-30 seconds) your game should resume.
It was a little unclear as to whether you were concerned about the advertisement itself or if you were actually experiencing an issue with the ad (ad freezes/crashes the game and won't let you continue, etc).
If you do have ANY issues with the advertiseemnts (they freeze up, cause the game to crash, etc) please let us know immediately! The best way to provide us with this info is to contact us via our Help page and provide us with a description of the information as well as a screenshot.

Unstable
Okay, so I've been using free ride games player for several games, I have no problem with the ad but I have recently got a new problem with using this player, and it isn't a small one either.
I was playing a game alright with no problem. Specifically, the game is Avenue Flo Special Delivery. I took a break and closed the game. When I restarted the game, within no more than 30 secs, the sidebars where the ads are supposed to be placed flashes, and my cursor freezes. I have tried restarting for over 5 times, the same problem occurred. How is a game playable if my cursor doesn't even move?
I hope this will be resolved quickly.
Overall, apart from this problem I'm currently having, it is a pretty good way of getting games for free but it definitely needs to put more effort into spotting and resolving problems in its player.
Edit - I have tried 2 other games, Cooking Dash Thrills and Spills, Soap Opera Dish, but the same problem occurred. Not as frequent as before, but still as annoying! Although I see the flashes, assuming that it's the ads loading (although I don't actually see any ads appearing on the sidebar), the cursor freezes.

Annoying Ads
I downloaded this last night and uninstalled it about an hour later. I was unaware that it would give me random ads and popups all over my regular internet screen, even on websites not by that company. Even now, as I write this, there are 3 ads obscuring my view of this website, despite the absence of the company's program. While I was in the middle of typing, a popup showed up randomly in a new tab, four separate times, advertising other games. This slows my computer down significantly and they get in the way of everything. It's very annoying and I can't find any ways to get rid of them. The games aren't worth the aggravation. If I had known this would happen, I would not have downloaded anything from this company in the first place.

The good thing is that the games are free. I have been using Free Ride Games for almost 4 years now. Some of the games offered do not load or work in the game player such as Apple Pie. Probably about 5 or 6 of the games I like to play (hidden object/time management) will randomly crash and you have to reload such as Emily's Garden, a few of the Cake Mania games, Unlikely suspects etc.
The banner ads on the side of the game player window are not intrusive and the placement is truly 5 stars. I wish they would not allow the sound on some of the ads, but if that is part of the contractual agreement so be it. I can easily turn my speakers off.
Where I deduct stars is on the inconsistency in pop up ad. Some of the games will interrupt every 30 minutes with an ad (acceptable), and others will have that pop up every 3-4 minutes which makes it annoying to play. There is no warning for the pop up window and if you click by mistake because there is no warning, a new window is opened up taking you to a sponsor website and it ALWAYS logjams the computer. Even when I got my new computer a few months back, it still logjams so definitely not the hardware but the game player. Not sure if this is a ploy to get folks to subscribe to remove ads or not but they lose stars for the inconsistency.
There is an opportunity to register and "skip" 5 ads, but the option advertised on the ad video does not work. I registered, but it did not reduce the number of ads on a hidden object game set at 4 minute ad intervals. They lost stars here too.
They do have a premium site that costs $10 a month, but they will not let you know the premium games are. They also do not even let you see in a screen shot if the blue "game window" would still be flashing the side bar ads. I just never trusted the ability to cancel if I find life is too busy to tinker with games.

I'd like to address a few areas of concern you showed us and give you some instructions on how to forward us log and diagnostic info so we can investigate:
-We are aware of some of the issues with the advertisements running with sound when not prompted and are working on fixing that (they shouldn't play sound unless you mouse over or activate the ad).
-Your issue with the "Mid-Roll" advertisement (that is supposed to appear after 20-30 minutes) showing up after only 3-4 minutes is definitely not intended.
-Games failing to run are usually caused by outdated Video Card Drivers or DirectX or even background processes conflicting with the game. You can check out our Help Center here (http://www.freeridegames.com/support/?article_id=2468) for instructions on how to update those components.
-The "Skip" option is one that is hardcoded into the Advertiser/Sponsor that shows the advertisement and is not affiliated with us. Since we have so many different sponsors and they cycle out, the advertiser that you "Skipped" with may not be the same one that appears later. Also, since it is not affiliated with our software, there is no guarantee that the "Skip" option from the advertiser would work.
-Our premium service "GameTanium" that will let you remove the ads for $9.83/month gets you access to over 2100+ games (hence why we cannot provide a full list!). The GameTanium software is completely separate from Free Ride Games, so you won't have the Advertisements present in the Player itself. Also, you get a free 7 day trial when you sign up for GameTanium so you can check out all the games and if you don't like it, just let us know and we can cancel you during the trial and you won't pay a penny.

A better deal than you would expect
Free Ride Games does its job well. As the name implies, you get to play the full version of its large selection of games as long as you want. The catch, which I find to be minor, is the delivery of ads to your computer (through their game launcher, which is required to play the games they supply) while you play. A video ad is usually presented each time you launch a game, and typical banner ads line the top and right sides of the game while you play.
This formula works well. I am very satisfied with being able to play the games offered for free. The only (minor) gripe I could offer in this respect is a larger range of games, such as those by bigfishgames and other software companies. I do not know if this is possible, but it would be an improvement. And, yet again, I empasize that this is free- any game provided for free that would otherwise cost you money is a good deal in my opinion.
My only real complaint is with the game launcher, EXETender. Despite having hardware specs that are well beyond the recommended system requirements of the games I play, EXETender still freezes from time to time. If the player is left alone for long enough, or if I disconnect from the internet and reconnect, it occasionally responds again. While the freezes (Apphang error, if you're a techie) aren't crippling, they still happen often enough to be a nuisance. Having to close out your game only to re-open it and watch another video ad before launch can be annoying. DirectX is up to date on my computer, my video card is up to date (and faaaaaar more powerful than recommended), there are no background programs slowing down my computer while I play (nor is my antivirus interfering with EXETender), and Adobe Flash Player is up to date. This leads me to believe the problem may lie with some of the (banner) ads EXETender tries to deliver in-game (however, this is a non-expert opinion). The processor devoted to EXETender maxes out when it freezes (and I am unaware if a 64-bit version exists, or if it would help). For reference, my player version is 7.4.28.1.
That lengthy gripe aside, I still think those who come across Free Ride Games should give it a try. Hopefully the player bugs will be sorted out soon, but it certainly still works. Free is free, after all.

I love the variety of games but half the time i can't get them to load, or they crash within a minute or 2 after i start a game. Usually, i try a few times and it either works or it doesn't. If it doesn't i just go do something else for an hour and come back to try again. I would say the games load and play without problem half the time.

TOOLBAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, my wife accidentally downloaded this service via very shady advertising on Facebook, which they've been reported for btw, and now, lo and behold, the stupid toolbar won't go away. A toolbar which after doing some digging, turns out to be MALWARE. Oh, and contacting their service is a circular run around designed to get you to go away in frustration. The "phone number" they use has that fast busy signal when you call it, indicating that is is not in service, the "ask us a question" widget on their site only answers how to INSTALL their stupid POS toolbar. But, strangely, the number that you call to advertise on their sites works just fine. You guys are scumbags.

I like free ride games because there are less commercials than Facebook. It would be nice though if you could play the full version of games.

unacceptable game play.
Full review of slingo was horrible. Game kept getting hung up because of multiple stupid ads that kept changing. Game stuck. Could not get through one game without major problems. Will never play your games again. Ever. Get it right. It may be a free game, but so are the games associated with facebook like Candy Crush saga and I have NEVER had the game hang up. There are ads associated with it but they are stationary.

Freeride games isn't all it is cracked up to be.
When I tried to play shutter island, my protection software said that there was something malicious in it and wouldn't let me run it. Then when I tried to run my Atlantis game, the freeride program began to initiate it and then said that I had just played it and did I want to rate it! I haven't even played the game because it didn't open! How can I rate a game I haven't even played yet? Not it is asking me to allow an add-on called PlaytopusPE.dll from 'Not Available'. I already have some earlier PlatopusPE.dll running on my computer and It keeps popping up some site called crackle that plays Jackie Chan cartoons! The bad thing is that they pop-up in the middle of me doing work or when ever i'm on the internet. Sometimes it pops-up every one or two minutes. It is so annoying and I can't get it to stop popping up. I even disengage my pop-ups and it still pops-up. I can't stand it. I want it to stop!!!! I just don't know how to get it to stop!!!!!! I need help@

I would like to re-assure you that our games are 100% safe and virus free. We are backed by both McAfee and TRUSTe (both of which scan our site daily to ensure this).
Whenever a game is blocked mistakenly, this is called a "False Positive". We work closely with all antivirus programs to ensure that our software is not mistakenly blocked, however updates to antivirus programs tend to revert some protections back.
Please contact our Customer Service Team (http://www.freeridegames.com/product/about/aboutus.html?tab=5) and provide them with the name of the game you downloaded along with the Antivirus Program you have installed. Also, please provide the version number of the antivirus (usually found in the Help > About section).
Now, regarding this "PlaytopusPE.dll" file; we are in no way affiliated with this "Playtopus.dll" file. I have done a little bit of research and it is affiliated with a completely different website called "Playtopus.com". Apparently this "Playtopus.dll" file is required to play their games. If you have any questions or concerns about this Playtopus.dll file, I suggest you visit their website and contact them so they can help.

Screen is too small, print and pictures are too small. Can't make out objects or read most words, i.e. directions

If the screen is too small you may want to adjust your Screen Resolution to the Highest Setting available (usually marked by "Recommended").
If your screen resolutions is already set to this setting, then you may want to make sure your DPI settings are set properly as this can cause the game playing area to be too small.
Just go to Start > Control Panel > Display. Select the "Standard (100%)" option and apply the changes (you will need to restart your PC). This should take care of the issue for you.

gotten worse
i loved having freeride on my pc and have had it on all my pcs since i found the site. but now the ads wont stop popping up, one end then another one starts i cant do anything on my games anymore!!! if this is not sorted i will un-install it and look else were

Games don't load when have internet service!
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have downloaded a few games and when i go to play them, it tells me that the game requires internet to play the game when i am already connected to the internet. A few games i will get all the way through the 'game is still loading' and it will go to the game and then automatically leave the game and go the internet after exiting the game.
A few times i've gotten the response on the internet that said 'game didn't start properly' and says i don't have internet access yet i do have internet access. I would really love to play the games i download, all of them, not just a few games. I want to play all the games i download. I need help and there doesn't seem a way for me to play the games right now.
The games that won't play and say 'no internet access' are as follows:

Performances run the gamut....really good to really not so good
My opinion fully depends on the game. Sometimes I can play with minimal 'freezes' other times the screen freezes for no discernible reason. Sometimes the ads are at a minimum and spaced out so there is a good amount of play time between them, and other times the ads are spaced so closely together that play time had barely resumed before it stopped again. Most of the ads that frame the playing window are unobtrusive, but the rapidly flashing ones are going to cause someone to have seizures. They are too distracting and annoying. Most recently I am totally frustrated but I think the problem is in the game code, not the player. In Journalist Journey, in one scene a set of clock hands have to be found and then placed on a clock. Each and every time I click on the clock hands, the game ends. I have completely reloaded it twice and it still happens every single time. Frustrating to say the least. Off to try a different game and see how it goes.
