Flint and Bishop Solicitors

I recently received a letter from my solicitor about Flint and Bishop Solicitors responded him regarding a bill from SmartestEnergy — a company I have never entered into any contract or agreement with. In their letter, they accused me of owing over £17,000, yet later stated they would “investigate further” to understand why I had been billed in the first place.

This raises serious concerns about their professionalism and due diligence. A competent legal firm should investigate such matters thoroughly before sending out accusatory or distressing correspondence to individuals.

The approach taken by Flint and Bishop has caused me unnecessary stress and harassment over something I have no involvement in. Instead of acting responsibly and verifying the facts beforehand, they appear to have proceeded without proper checks.

I expect this issue to be rectified immediately, and I will be seeking compensation for the distress and inconvenience caused. Both Flint and Bishop and their client, SmartestEnergy, should take responsibility for their actions.

In my personal experience, Flint and Bishop have shown a lack of professionalism and care in handling this matter. I would advise others to exercise caution when dealing with this firm.

Robin was extremely efficient regarding the recent sale of my mother's house. There were a lot of delays with the sale from the buyers and futher down the chain and Robin always kept me informed and up to date with the proceedings. He was very proactive about ensuring that the sale process was progressing as quickly as possible. When I spoke to him on the phone he was professional and personable. Overall I was very pleased with the service.

Useless. Takes ages to respond to a simple enquiry the replies with a short unhelpful email.

Unprofessional and arrogant

Having selected Flint Bishop to assist in the legal process of selling my house, I found that the concise and clear e-mails to keep me updated on each step of the process gave me confidence in their professional handling of the sale.
Staff were very nice and courteous on the phone and replied quickly.

Flint Bishop are British gas' cash cow. They're hounding me for an estimated debt to British gas. Even at deadlock, they're harassing me. If they ring you from 0330 123 9354 it'll be a robocall to start with, wasting even more of your time. Absolutely no morals, or standards. Dreadful.

Fraudulent letters from this company for the octopus energy company. This bill is related to the property where We never lived , owned and rented a property. When contacted the octopus energy company, they have no details of the account that we hold for the property these scammers are seeking money for. Already reported them to action fraud and will be reporting to SRA and financial and legal ombudsman as they left no choice. Be aware of this company!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. Disgraceful and unforgivable behaviour which will not be tolerated.

Firstly: I CAN, WITHOUT DOUBT, PROVE ALL FACTS WROTE HERE IN THIS 100%, ACCURATE AND HONEST REVIEW.

Secondly: Flint Bishop Solicitors and their client British Gas Limited are fully aware that I am a vulnerable person and that I am registered via the Priority Services Register but do not seem to care about this fact!

I have been harassed by Flint Bishop Solicitors Limited, who claim I owe their client a sum which I dispute. I have replied to every letter from Flint Bishop Solicitors and have told them that I dispute what their client say I owe, in fact, telling them that the sum is made up of estimated bills and is not based on an opening or ending meter readings. Via several of my recorded letters, I warned Flint Bishop Solicitors that I refuse to be a British Gas customer due to previous complaints which I was forced to make to Parliament officials and others as British Gas attempting to break into my home twice, with the use of dog-handlers, ten Police officers, and locksmiths. (as seen via viral website video's). There have been other incidents which were recorded via my CCTV where British Gas agents were swearing and being abusive abusive at me in front of my very young child and this incident is posted via website platforms. Also, via my recorded letters to Flint Bishop Solicitors I explained that “it is due to the disgraceful behaviour of their client that I left them and went with Bristol Energy to supply my gas and electricity. However, Bristol Energy went into administration or bankrupt. It was due to this fact that Ofgem asked British Gas to take over my supply. However, I wrote to British Gas, via recorded delivery which they signed for on the in January 2022 saying that "I refuse to be their customer due to their disgraceful behaviour and that they should contact Ofgem telling them that I refuse to be their customer and that they should send me to another supplier”.

Via all my recorded letters, in response to the letters from Flint Bishop Solicitors, I also warned them that "I do not trust them, I refuse to work and deal with Flint Bishop due to the number of negative complaints against them which can be found via website platforms as this".

All the above was explained to Flint Bishop Solicitors Limited. I question if they have read, they certainly have not taken on board any information sent and continue to harass me. They are relentless in their bullying and intimidation tactics!

I received a letter from them on the 21 August 2025, I replied to that letter via recorded delivery which they signed for on the 22nd August 2025. However, I again received a letter dated 27 August 2025 saying I have not been in touch with them. They are LIARS, I have replied to them via recorded delivery which they signed for. Due to this letter, I called them and I recorded the call. I spoke to a person who named herself as Mary. Just as I have previously stated on my recorded letters, I told her that "Flint Bishop are LIARS and that it is due to complaints from they’re other customers and their lies that I will have nothing to do with them and that I will be making complaints against them".

Both British Gas and Flint Bishop will fail in trying to intimidate me into paying what I dispute I owe. I do not care for their letters, threats and more. I do not class myself as a British Gas customer and I have previously tried to go to another supplier which British Gas refused and have previously and conveniently tried to deny this fact but I have the recorded call as evidence.

No apologies or responses to this review will be good enough, in fact I do not want them as they will prove meaningless and are just for show to make them look better. I will never contact or respond to Flint Bishop again; I have all the evidence I need for future references. I certainly will not be forwarding any further correspondence regarding Bishop Flint Solicitors and British Gas regards to this matter, I will simply report them to regulators, Members of Parliament, Police and expose them via many viral website platforms and Consumer TV Programmes.

Indeed I am done with both Flint Bishop Solicitors, their despicable client and any other firm British Gas wants to get involved to intimidate me to pay what I do not owe. Indeed, British Gas and Flint Bishop has failed and cannot prove I owe this fraudulent alleged debt...

I have been harassed and treated with letters and emails regarding fictitious invoices from British Gas Lite, despite sending evidence of fully paid bills and other evidence on four occasions. They have not read or taken on board any information sent and continue to threaten and harass me. I am now seeking legal advice to get rid of them. They are relentless in their bullying and intimidation tactics!!

Our conveyancing experience with Flint Bishop was very good. We were kept up to date all the time and Bethany made the whole process go smoothly, even when we had to change completion dates right at the last minute.

Quite recently I have had multiple pieces of unsatisfactory communication with Flint Bishop. From receiving their first later I phoned the company explained the situation and was told that they would "make a note" only to receive Court Papers three days later referencing a property. No further phone call had been made to me to clarify the situation from a qualified lawyer. In fact I have no idea who has been writing to me and replying to my emails as no-one has put their name to any communication. Letters /emails barely reference any of the the points I raise and contain information that is totally irrelevant to me. Basically a "standard letter". This is unprofessional and sloppy particularly as their client is a well known high street bank who really should be ashamed to be using such a law firm.

Currently embroiled in a property transaction in which I've had the misfortune of my buyer instructing these solicitors.

It's looking like our chain will collapse because of the speed at which they work, which would honestly be overtaken by a sloth. They sit on documents for weeks, answering emails is merely a suggestion to them.

Save yourself the despair of using this dreadful firm. I would also advise against proceeding if someone in your chain instructed them.

The staff, in particular Lauren and Sukhy made the process very easy and communicated throughout. I would highly recommend and also use again if needed.

Reviews speaking themselves, no need to explain much 2 rating out of 5 means critical and stay away from such incompetent people. This so called law firm ruined its reputation with its own hands by partnering with energy suppliers to send fake claims against small businesses whom no one signed any contract with. It’s not worth to earn such money just for some letters to small businesses on behalf of their doggy energy suppliers who got no contracts to start first of all and secondly they don’t release meters to new suppliers and hold as long as they want to keep fake billing on standard double rates than normal market rate. When no contract then no legal grounds of dispute of contract. Inferiority complex lead such firm owners to use English names when these names got nothing to do with them. Harassment case should be made against this firm and must be reported to solicitors regulatory authority and trading standards etc
