Would never buy from First4Cars again. I bought a Kia Sportage from this company and traded my old car in. When collected the car everything seemed to be ok with it.

However, after a couple of weeks I realised there was a crack in the windscreen to which I got a professional windscreen service out. They informed me the crack had already been repaired but not properly - it had sellotape over the top! Sellotape hides the crack until the sun shines on it then it becomes visible. I then contacted First4Cars who informed me they would not replace the windscreen even though it was them at fault.

Only a week later, I was driving the Kia with my 3 month son in the car and it set on fire! I had to called for the fire brigade. The car then went back to First4Car via a local recovery company. I was told First4Car would pay for the recovery service as it was them at fault again, but they refused to pay.

After a few days the car was supposedly ‘fixed’. I went to pick the car up. Started my drive back home, again with my son in the car, and the car started smoking again! After First4Car claimed it had been fixed. After three faults with the car in under a month I asked for a refund.

When I went back a week later to First4car to collect my private plates, the car was sat on the forecourt as if nothing had happened.

This company are nothing but trouble. My grandfather then told one of his colleagues who had just put a deposit on a Nissan from First4Car… he got his car and had nothing but problems also. Turns out that car was also from Salvage Auction which First4Car failed to inform him of.

Reply to First4Cars - Firstly, the refund was NOT offered as soon as the car developed faults. I emailed numerous times requesting a refund and saying that I did not want the car - no refund until the third fault with the car. I also rang your Pudsey reception team.

Secondly, the cost of the recovery was not paid despite having been informed it would be. The AA service was NOT free and the member of your reception team told me to get a recovery van to bring the car as it was under warranty and the cost would be covered if I emailed the firms invoice.

Thirdly, as soon as this review had been uploaded to trust pilot I was bombarded with texts, calls and emails from yourselves requesting it be taken down - why should it be? You want the review removed because it is an honest review of the events which happened. I have sent the evidence to trustpilot hence why the review has stayed up despite your request to remove it. I then received an email from yourselves stating I may receive some form of compensation to bribe me to take the review down.

People need to be aware that you are selling cars from auction sites - to which you sent me proof of purchase from an auction site. My baby was put in danger twice yet I did not receive a refund straight away. I would advise anyone and everyone not to use the company or at least to pay for a vehicle check on any car you are interested in.

Absolute fantastic service, very helpful and I even got picked up from the local train station. Free 12 months AA cover included is a bonus. The car is mint!

After lots of research for my next car I decided to purchase a Kia Sportage. First4car had quite a few in stock and they were more than happy for me to take a look around . They walked me through all the different models and the one i test drove i ended up buying . Rich the salesman was very kind and took his time to explain the whole process to me . Brilliant service

A Fantastic Car buying experience!

Its not often easy to say nice things about a car dealership, but these guys were fantastic. Talked me through the process from start to finish. No pushy salesmen. I will be coming back in the future!

I recently bought my Volvo V90 from first4car and the car has been excellent. All the team were very friendly and the car was lovely when i collected it . The wheels were full refurbished to a high standard as I requested part of the deal. I will definitely look to use first4car when i come to buying my next car . Brilliant service

AVOID, bought a car cash for £14000, promised a full vallet for collection as previous owner had a dog and was full of hair and roof headliner rotten. Bonnet scratched so was promised they would buff it out the best they could, live 80 miles away so arrived for collection 5 days later, car not touched from the day we test drove it, no staff mentioned this and no one to take responsibility as staff member we dealt with off, managed to speak to the sales person a few days later, promised if we made the trip back we would receive the full vallet promised plus a paint treatment, travelled back the following week and got a call to say all jobs complete, arrived back and no hoovering complete, car still full of hair, head liner still virtually untouched, would not recommend this garage at all, I dread to think what will happen under warranty if something actually goes wrong with the car. Really disappointed in their service

My first experience with buying a car from this company and the whole thing was smooth and efficiently run. Luke, who I dealt with was clearly good at his job and answered any questions with ease. I would definitely use them again. A painless experience with a day out to Leeds too.

I bought  a car from first4car.com 3 months ago.
The  company were recommended to me by a couple of family members  who have also bought cars from them.
The staff were welcoming and friendly with no pressure or hard selling.
After sale care was excellent, I had a couple of queries 3 months after purchase and they went above and beyond to help me sort things out .
I certainly would recommend these guys ,a local  family business too!

This is the second car that I have bought from first4car and have to say that the customer service from this company is outstanding. Ben was very professional and courteous throughout the whole process, making it a stress free purchase. I am delighted with my new car!

I first popped in quickly as I was in a rush to pick my son from school, had a very quick look at the car and said I’d come again with my husband and have a proper inspection of it. I rang the following day to book an appointment to test drive the car , I spoke to Ben and he said come in so we did. We came at 4.30pm and there was nobody on site to greet us or show us where the car was. One of the lads who we eventually found said Ben had gone home and he thought the Mitsubishi had gone to get repaired. Obviously I couldn’t put a deposit down because we hadn’t even inspected the car or driven it. I then rang on Monday and spoke to Jordon, he Changed the Mitsubishi Outlander price from £19775 to £21000 in 2 days. Very very unprofessional company
Absolutely horrendous sales people, Atrocious and unprofessional sales people both Jordon and Ben.
Will never come there again and will make everyone I know aware of these cowboy sales people and company!
