Great company

I ordered my gas fire on Wednesday the 17th of February. The fire was scheduled to arrive on 22nd February. It arrived on the 19th of February. All the replies to my emails were promptly dealt with respectfully. Great service from a great company. Would highly recommend

Phones not working

Really not sure if they even exist. Tried the telephone and it says calls are not being received at the advertised number. I’ve had no reply to my last three emails. They have my money, the fire was broken on arrival and this has been returned. I have proof they have taken delivery of it back. Late addition. I have now been advised a refund is forthcoming, so the emails are getting read. The phone line however, still says the line is not accepting calls. I’m sure the pandemic has affected business, but it also causes worry from the consumers point of view.

Of course we exist we have communicated with you on several occasions.

Our telephone lines are working perfectly.

However, due to the unprecedented COVID – 19 pandemic we may take slightly longer than normal to answer calls or respond to queries during these difficult times.

We did receive an email from you which was sent to us at 12.50am in the early hours of this morning when we are closed as this is outside of our normal business hours.

If you check your emails you will see we have processed a full refund for you and notified you of this which you don’t appear to have read yet before writing this review.

We are sorry your item was damaged in transit.

We stated once the item was collected from you we would refund you in full and that is what we have done.

As you are already aware we have done all we can to remedy this for you as quickly as possible during this unprecedented pandemic.

Unresponsive and Shocking Customer Service So Far

To start Fireworld where quick to respond and helpful on the day of my purchase that was which made me think they are reliable and informative. Since then however I can’t get hold of them by phone or email never answered or responded to I have tried for 2 weeks to find out when my fire is coming and now their phone lines say they aren’t answering on the number. I have paid for my product and can’t do anything about it at the moment

We are really sorry there was a delay with your order.

As explained in the emails we have sent to you.

The manufacturer of this product has been experiencing problems with supply as a number of their components come from overseas.

Due to the COVID – 19 pandemic this has caused several problems with deliveries as some orders have been taking longer than normal to fulfil.

The manufacturer has also been working on reduced staff levels with some in self-isolation so they have not been up to their normal levels of service with updates on delays which we sincerely apologise for on their behalf.

No contact & no delivery

I ordered a fireplace on 08/11/20. I had an email on 09/11/20 enquiring about my address, I responded on the same day. I heard nothing back. The money has gone from my bank account. Still heard nothing from them. I have followed them up with another email. Still nothing. Their phone lines cut you off during their opening hours or redirect you to the website or email. I can’t get hold of anyone. As it stands, I still have no fireplace, no contact, money taken and no way of getting hold of fireworld. I wouldn’t order from them again. I will now seek to reclaim my money.

The delivery timescales shown on our website for this product are shown as “estimated timescales” only especially as the UK is in the midst of an unprecedented pandemic at this time.

As of today it is 13 working days (3 days over our estimated timescale during the pandemic).

The manufacturer of the gas fire purchased is based in Liverpool which is one of the hardest hit parts of the UK affected by COVID -19.

Unfortunately the manufacturer currently has half of its work force off self-isolating and so consequently they are not taking any telephone calls and are only communicating by email so they are taking longer to respond than normal.

We had been chasing an update from the manufacturer for some days without success.

We are obviously disappointed that the manufacturer had failed to respond but understand these are difficult times for everyone.

Regrettably the customer expressed a wish to reclaim their money from us and thereby cancelling the order so we complied with the customers wishes and have refunded them in full today.

We sincerely apologise for being slightly over the “estimated timescale” and for a delay in updating the customer which was down to a lack of communication we were getting from the manufacturer for the reasons mentioned.

2 deliveries but helpful customer service

I originally posted a poor review for this company as our order - a £500 fire- went missing. Unfortunately the order wasn't tracked so we had no idea that it had gone missing and obviously Fireworld were unaware we had not received the order. Once we had raised the issue a replacement was sent out within a couple of days and this time the order was tracked and delivered on time. Fireworld have resolved the issue and the fire is just what we wanted. Had the first order been tracked then it would have been 5 stars.

72 Hour Delivey claim is misleading and a lie

I ordered and paid on 7th October 2020 and am still yet to recive a call to arrange delivery 19th October 2020.

Fire World customer service is poor and all by email and they dont answer the phone

Best advice is order your stove else where

The delivery timescales shown on our website are estimated timescales. The order was dispatched on time and should have been delivered within the timescale indicated. Unfortunately, the item was misrouted in transit which was beyond our control and due to delays in the supply chain caused by the COVID - 19 it took a few days longer to locate the stove and have it delivered to the customer. Throughout this period we sent regular updates to the customer in writing by email and whilst we understand the customers frustration we did all we could to remedy the situation as quickly as possible which in reality only added a few more days on to the delivery process during this unprecedented pandemic.

Fireworld and fitters big 👍up

Had two fitters rich and colin. They were excellent very hard working, polite and chatty. My chimney was blocked which they didnt know till they started and they worked relentlessly at unblocking it for for 3 and half hours. They stayed until fire was fully fitted which was 7.30 PM. The fire looks brillant and frank in the shop who helped me was a lovely guy. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Eden Elite Balanced Flue Gas Fire.

Prior to purchasing the Eden Elite slimline gas fire the technical department provided knowledgeable advice on suitability, performance and installation. Whilst fireworld do advertise price match, I found their price included essential "extras" which their competitors charged an additional £112.00, so I didn't bother comparing.
On-line ordering was simple, delivery was free.
The product arrived within four days. It was well packed and the carrier couldn't have been more helpful and patient whilst I checked for damage. In all a smooth cost effective purchase. Thanks.

Really pleased with my new fire

Really pleased with my new fire, had an issue at the start ( my fault ) but Carol in customer service was extremely nice and nothing was too much bother, would really rate this company for their before and after service.

Customer service good for advice

Customer service good for advice. But Found it annoying you had to send an email to get a response after we had brought the fire. Took a couple of days for someone to get back to you.
Brought a fire belly 2, double sided. Does give out heat and looks very modern. But smokes a lot at times when you open the door to put more logs on.
Had a chesney burner before wish I had paid that extra and gone with one of these again.
But this is just my opinion.

Great company

Great company. Bought a gas stove. Saved £250 compared to other retailers. Very helpful guys on the phone and i could not be happier about recommending this company.

delivery not as smooth as stated

Their email after purchase said they would let me know once with a courier. Didn’t hear anything from anyone until the pallet lorry was outside my house and ringing the door bell. He then rang my mobile I work over an hour away from home. I told him we should of had a phone call to book a delivery time he said I’m ringing you now. Bit late when your outside mate. I had to ring my wife luckily she wasn’t working too far away she got home in 10 minutes shame we didn’t keep him waiting longer really. Log burner is really good and excellent value for money my chimney sweep is always jealous when he comes round.
