I literally can not fault these guys. Ian and Kev are absolutely brilliant. Friendly, helpful and informative. I took my car in after clutch cable broke. I'm a mother of a young baby left without a car. They originally stated they probably wouldn't be able to get in in for a few days at least. Get a phone call 5 hours later...they have moved heaven and earth and fixed it ON THE SAME DAY!!! Total life savers and I don't go anywhere else for car issues.

Would not take my car anyone else! The technicians are fantastic, efficient and compassionate. Look after your car as if it was their own. Kev is a joy to deal with. Goes above and beyond each and every time I bring my car.

Over the last few days, my car alarm has been sounding when it shouldn't. I rang F1 Autocentre in Lye and spoke to Ian. He said bring it in, which I did, within the hour. Problem all sorted in no time!

F1 tyres Lye are always fab. Kevin and Ian are always friendly and helpful and approachable. Recently I have gone through a loss of a partner who always dealt with the car , I attended F1 lye a bit flustered and Kevin instantly put me at ease. Honest and compassionate. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I have used F1 Lye for 4 years since moving to the area and I'd never go elsewhere. Ian & Kevin are the loveliest gents. In all of my years of experience with car garages I'm used to condescension however from my first visit to F1 Lye I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. If anything has needed repairing they always show me the part they needed to replace and explained why, they have always maintained my vehicles to the highest standard, and even helped out friends of mine with emergency repairs as I recommend this garage over any others. The best part about using F1 is that I'm always met with the warmest welcome from Ian, and you even get a good laugh thrown in. They have always made me feel valued and I'd never trust another garage like I do with F1 Lye, simply because of Ian & Kev. They are a true asset to the Formula One brand and I sincerely hope that management recognise Ian & Kev's expertise and professionalism with a wonderful personal touch. Thank you to all at F1 Lye for the many years of great service and many more to come.

Great advice on tyres and a quick change.

Due to unforseen circumstances the branch I had my original MOT at could no longer carry out the re-test. I was advised to contact Ian at the Lye branch who was extremely helpful and understanding about the situation and was very apologetic for the inconvenience. Ian booked me in for a MOT at the earliest opportunity, free of charge, and made sure all details were added to the system so I wouldn't have to repeat myself on the day as Ian wouldn't be available. I dealt with Kevin today, who had read up on the notes and was waiting for me to arrive. Lovely man, very knowledgeable and also understanding of the situation. Explained again that it would need to be a full test carried out again due to a change of garage and tester. Happy to say the car passed. Yes, it was a bit of an inconvenience, however instead of complaining at the first instance, ride it out and all was good in the end. I also contacted the area manager Andy who was extremely pleased to hear the positive feedback about his branches in Kidderminster and Lye. Certainly won't put me off using these guy's again, things happen, it's how they are dealt with that make the difference.

Consistently brilliant service! Had my MOT done on 1st March, and Ian and Kevin were super friendly and helpful. I did notice that the area manager was there as his picture was on the counter, yet there was no acknowledgement/customer service from him...especially as the centre appeared to be busy.

I use F1 Lye every year for a full service and MOT. The past 2 years I've had endless problems and have been left feeling ripped off. They simply take the money but don't undertake the service.

When discussing the issues with Ian, he is unpleasant and rude.

UPDATE: 1* changes to 4* Head Office, Andy called me back after my complaint. He booked my car into F1 Blackheath and they sorted all the issues - fabulous work at the Blackheath branch - service with a smile. Thanks lads!

Puncture on a Sunday morning, and Formula One were brilliant.

Really helpful Centre Manager and Fitter, patient, brilliant service, and back on the road as fast as possible.

Also repaired tyre, for only £23, rather than try and talk me into replacing. Can’t speak highly enough of them.

Would event take the £10 off me that I wanted to give as a thank you!!

Had my disc changed before Christmas, paid a little more than I was anticipating however the man behind the desk i think it was Ian, was helpful in informing me the best discs to go for at a little bit extra than what I anticipated. I got to say that I'm really impressed with these discs and they still look brand new with no rust speckles on them, which is what Ian informed.

I have since used this branch in lye for tyres and I can't fault the service from all the guys front of house and back of house! Would highly recommend vs other local garages.

The bloke on the desk was miserable as sin. The fitter tried to fit the new tyre to the wrong wheel, when I pointed this out to the guy on the desk, there was a range of expletives before he slammed the workshop door. Requested my spare to be put back under my vehicle and was met with no in a snappy way. Was also told my van was too tall to go on a ramp to do this?? It’s no higher than a Landrover and it gets a mot off a ramp…. Totally unprofessional.

UPDATE - 09/02/2023- The area manager called. A totally different aspect of customer service, an apology given and more importantly someone listened. Thank you.

I can highly recommend Lye, West Midlands branch. Car had service and MOT today, excellent customer service and very reasonable price. Thank you so much and i will be a return customer

I rec'd a voicemail from the Regional Manager saying that he would like to speak to me, and he left a number which I should be able to contact him on for the next hour or so, but if he didn't hear back from me then he would try again later.

I didn't pick up the voicemail until yesterday evening but never rec'd another call?? Please could you try contacting me again Regional Manager like you said you would, because I am very keen to talk with you also.

By the way, I've also started searching more review websites about Formula One Autocentre and to the shame of your company, mine is far from an isolated incident. What I'm reading is just absolutely disgusting, how people are being treated not only by staff but by managers and Area Managers to! It's really shocking and I think Formula One Autocentre seriously need to wise up and start dealing with this diabolic sham of being a reputable, customer orientated company with professional and skilled staff.

I use this company in Lye Nr Stourbridge west midlands and have left great reviews befor till today I walked out there are two older gents on or around the place one is great with brilliant customer service the other should never be on counter duty at all having received a price Inc a terrible attitude the way I was spoken to I walked out and went to another company to get sorted amazingly whyll there a couple told me they had also used formula one
and had been in for a quote but felt the attitude of there grumpy miserable server (an older mail)
was so bad they to walked out I can say you have lost £275 on there business alown today such a shame think he was put out as he was fast asleep in his chair when I walked in.

I have Used Formula One Lye for many years they are quite simply the best for friendly, skilled staff, great prices great service

Went for MOT on the 11th of July 2022, was told it failed on the MOT due to a fault in the braking system, brake pads and disc on advisory. I asked if they were to fixed it they quoted me £368. I said I will take the car and come back and the man at reception said that I will have to pay £15 for a retest but free if I have to come back in an hour, which was impossible at that time of the day. I went to the other garage at Bridge Street and paid only £69 plus MOT of £30. I didn't bother to come back to that Formula One Autocentre in Lye for a retest. That grumpy old man at reception is very rude and no customer skills at all. Extortionate.

I've never had such a poor experience of getting new tyres fitted. My appointment booked for half 9 was for some reason not on their system, despite the tyres I'd ordered on that booking being there. I had to come back in the afternoon and it then took them almost an hour and 20 minutes to fit 2 tyres. To top it off, they put 48psi in the tyres, well beyond the 32psi recommendation printed in the car door

I have been contacted by the company and they've informed me they will take this criticism onboard. The response to my complaint was quick and seemed very positive

Staff were rude unhelpful and the MOT I came for was not done. My one star is generous!
