I was under alot if stress with my current electric contract and then was aproached by ECBS a month ago.
They listened to my concerns and offered to help and guided me in solving this issue the best way maintaining a professional relationship. They have kept me up to date at all times with any progress. So far I am happy with their services and hope I will be able to do business with them very soon as I am sure they will keep our needs in mind before offering us a contract.

Helpful and Professional
Don was extremely helpful in finding us a new electricity deal. I had spoken to him earlier in the year, and even though we didn't need his services at that time, he was helpful with a problem we were having.
6 months later, when we were searching for a new contract, Don's name came to the front of my mind due to the helpfulness he provided a few months back.

Cold calling our business
Cold calling our business, firstly having the incorrect contact details and then being very persistent to the point of being rude about getting contact details for the person in the business. Not taking No for an answer.

We sincerely apologise for the manner in which you were approached, persistence should never cross into rudeness, and the experience you describe does not reflect the professional standards we expect from our team. Cold calling is a long-established and legitimate part of our industry, as it allows us to reach businesses who may benefit from lower energy costs or sustainability solutions but are unaware of the options available. We understand it is not always welcome, and we always aim to be respectful in how we approach.

ECBS are a breath of fresh air in comparison to other energy companies I have worked with. I have been working with Beverley Forster to secure a few of our businesses energy contracts and she has been so helpful and informative.
There was never any pressure and the rates she came back with were very competitive.

I was cold called by ECBS recently by…
I was cold called by ECBS recently by one of your Energy Specialists. They spent alot of time trying to convince me that I needed another energy broker for our business and eventually I gave in and allowed them to send me a LOA. However, our normal broker organised prices we were happy with. Because I failed to go back to your business, I get a phone call today where your specialist said I had wasted his time and that he couldn't even get a reply to his generic emails.
I wasn't happy with the tone or service provided.
Edited due to the response from them.
To be clear, I didn’t sign anything or request anything. We got to the stage where YOU had asked for more information from me. I hadn’t got back to you so no real work was undertaken by your company. As soon as your agent called me, I told them I wouldn’t be taking it further. There is no justification for his tone or your pressure sales.

The tone you described is unacceptable and does not reflect the standards we hold ourselves to. We take this kind of feedback very seriously, and we will be addressing it with the individual directly.
We can certainly appreciate that you were happy with the prices your current broker secured. Understandably, you chose to stay with them. From our perspective, the tendering process to generate a quotation isn't a simple undertaking. It requires time and resources from various members of staff to find the best possible options for a business. While this by no means excuses the frustration you were met with, it’s why a lack of response can be so challenging for the team. We believe that a simple 'no, thank you' is a professional courtesy that allows everyone to manage their time effectively. We would suggest refraining from signing an LOA for the purpose of receiving a quotation, should you have no intention to enter into further dialogue in future.
Again, we are very sorry for the poor experience you had. We wish you and Melody Care all the best.
