My daughter started her first ever job…

My daughter started her first ever job here since leaving school , never in my life have I seen my daughter so down since she started here, every day nearly coming home in tears because of the way she was treated by managers and even HR staff, AVOID looking for a job here unless you want to be reduced to tears 😡

You wouldn’t believe it was possible.

You wouldn’t believe it was possible.
So here’s the shopping experience I had.
September 27 ordered some clothing for my granddaughters birthday which was on 28 th.
So had a message from DPD delivery service to say. My parcel would arrive on28th.
Great gives me loads of time to wrap up in special birthday paper.
Was out tidying garden on delivery day and noticed a white van fly past.
Thought to myself that’s my parcel but he didn’t call.
So phones D PD depot 80 in Portadown enquiring about non delivery.
Spoke to a lovely guy Kevin who informed me the driver had logged failed delivery due to wrong address!!!
Here’s me in the delivery address given to Dunnes hearing someone say it was wrong!
Anyhow Kevin. Assured me I would receive it 28th O K a little late but still in time for birthday.
He suggested maybe to be sure to get it he would sent it to one of their pick up shops which was Pillbox Pharmacy Irvinestown less than half a mile away from my house.
So had an email from DPD clarifying this.
So on birthday day phoned Pillbox...
No parcel!
Phoned Dunnes customer services in Birmingham.
Spoke to Joy.
Joy informed me that it was nothing to do with them as it was between me and DPD I advised her that I didn’t have a contact with them but dunnes did.
So she told me to phone them myself and sort it out.
She seamed a little peeved that I had dared critiside DPD.
So I did as I was told. Got the lovely Kevin again he said the driver had again failed the delivery due to refusal of Pillbox.
Turns out there was a mix up as to was it a home delivery or pick up.
The parcel was marked home delivery. The driver couldn’t do this as it was not his run!
If he had thrown the parcel my way I could have caught it!!!
So me wee parcel goes back up the M1 to Portadown depot 80.
At this stage birthday party was over and Granny had to improvise with a wee book but with apologies that there was a big blunder with proper gift.
So phoned both DPD and Dunnes to let off a wee bit of steam!
Dunnes couldn’t care less by the way it was Linda this time.
They treated me like I was telling lies.
So I had Kevin email me with the whole story of my parcels daily journey to and from Portadown to Irvinestown .
Dunnes wiped their hand of it I still hadn’t received any kind of apology more so praise for DPD and how they rarely failed delivery slots.
Which from my experience was a load of rubbish.
Anyway here the good news parcel arrived yesterday October 1st a bit late but me wee parcel was dizzy going up and down the M1 Daily.
So here’s the lesson don’t order online from Dunnes just click and collect and hope they don’t use DPD for this service as you might have to wait quite a while!!!

Shocking service goods “lost in transit” after chasing by phone every day for a week I was told my order had been lost. Then received an email to say 50% of my original order was out of stock. Goods bought as a house warming present never delivered

They steal personal information

My last purchase in these store was about 6 years ago. I always paid cash and always refused to be part of any fidelity club of any kind, also refused to provide any of the personal information they ask for any purchase.

Of course, today I start receiving some spam in my name as apparently I am suddenly part of their 'club'.
I called them today and claim I need to send them an email to request the account to be closed.

Unbelievable.

I do not know how. they manage to find my email address or why they assume it was ok to start sending me spam. What a despicable company.

Really poor service

Really poor service. I ordered a set (6) of bowls, plates, pasta bowls etc., 2 bowls arrived, 1 broken! Everything else was refunded to me the next day due to them being out of stock.
Why would you send any of the set if not all available? Why does the website say there is stock available when there isn’t?! Will not be ordering again.. now need to go to Dunnes in person to return bowls..

Placed an order online 29th December…

Placed an order online 29th December 2020 and it still hasn't appeared. I have emailed Dunnes customer service twice and have been told it's because of covid and a back log of post in London. I also was told that I would not get a refund. So I pay €48 for nothing and don't get a refund?!?!?
Update...parcel arrived after 8.5 weeks.

Awful online exper

Awful, I ordered on the 2nd December with the promise of 10 day delivery, so plenty of time for Christmas. Tracking shows they left Ireland and Heathrow on the 15th but there the trail ends. Its easy to blame covid and brexit but I've had other parcels arrive from the UK via Heathrow and using correos at this end. I emailed just before Christmas and was told there were delays. I have emailed twice since and been ignored.
The parcel contained presents, I have 6 small children and can not afford to be spending money and getting nothing in return. I have now tried Facebook messenger to try to get some kind of response.
I had absolute faith in Dunnes as a well regarded store but have been left feeling cheated, disappointed and stressed.

UPDATE...THEIR RESPONSE, AND MINE JUST NOW, BELOW...GETS WORSE!!

As advised above once this order is scanned back into our warehouse you will receive a refund for the order due to the items being damaged.

I HAVE ASKED 6 TIMES FOR A REPLACEMENT ORDER TO BE SENT.
IF NOT EXACTY WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE ORDER TO BE RETURNED TO YOU FOR REFUND AS YOU KNOW THE COURIER DID NOT DELIVER IT.
THIS IS APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE.
PLEASE EXPLAIN BY RETURN EXACTLY WHY YOU WILL NOT RESEND THE ORDER...YOU HAVE BEEN PAID FOR IT
Placed an order..so sorry I did.
It didn't arrive...tracking said it was being returned to sender. Contacted Dunnes. All they said was it had been damaged in transit and as sonn as it was returned to them they would issue refund. I replied asking for them to reissue the order and pointing out that if they were not going to do so then why not issue refund IMMEDIATELY as they knew I had never received the parcel! I do not particularly want a refund I would prefer the goods ordered . Have e mailed repeatedly and no one has bothered to respond. Appalling customer service...so beware

Dunnes Stores Charlestown Very Poor Store

Yet again went to do my shopping at 11am Saturday morning and shelves half empty on meat sections asked what issue was told delivery didn't arrive this is not first time this has happened for such a new store very poor management left trolley & went to Tesco that had all shelves full

Disappearance of Porridge!!

Your email to Dunnes Stores Reference - TID 356498 - Porridge Enquiry ?

After traveling to three distant Dunnes Stores in Spain to buy their excellent Porridge without success, I ask via their 'Web-Site' when we might expect stock?
Although we have been buying from there for at least the last four years my reply from Leanne of Customer Service, who clearly didn't know what Porridge was as follows:- "none of our stores in Spain are grocery stores, I am unable to determine which product you are looking for. Can you please advise if you are looking for a food product of a textile product?"
Well, Leanne, we are now sorted; and if you are not sure what Porridge is, just pop down to Aldi, there are racks of it and, it's delicious!! Regards, John.

I have shopped in cornelscourt for the last 23 years as i live very close by, i bought a chicken in my shopping opened it to roast for our family dinner and it smelt rotten and didnt want to chance food poisining as going on an Italian holiday the following day! after my holidays went back to do my weekly shop and said to the girl on the till about the rotten chicken and that I had no receipt as threw out because my vouchers date had expired because of our holiday! she was very helpful and called a manager, the manager advised me to go to the customer service desk! did that, the girl at the desk said sorry nothing I can do for you as you have no receipt! and walked off no apology etc.,! 23 years of loyalty to dunnes not impressed with your customer service!!

Shopped in a good few different department stores and always a pleasant experience. Made a shipping order to Denmark. Package was delivered on time and everything intact.

Arrived quickly to Australia. Packaging could be better, the clothes hangers (unecessary postal wgt and bulk) poked a reasonable hole in the parcel.
Great value items.
