The worst experience buying a car was with these muppets. Ordered a pre reg Changan but still took a month to deliver and after insurances were brought and day was booked off work at 3pm the day before they cancelled the delivery. So I lost a days pay and money through cancelling the he insurance policies. As a result I cancelled the order so they lost a customer along with the lease company. I wouldn’t waste my time with them again. As the customer service was shocking. Even after 4 days of cancellation a driver tried to deliver a car which couldn’t be signed for as I hadn’t known that it was booked. But shows they can’t plan or organise. What a shambles. Spend your money with a company that cares

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel this experience should be shared.
I purchased a vehicle from DM Keith Leeds and reported faults within one month of ownership. The faults were safety-related, yet I was unable to have the vehicle inspected for over a month.
From that point onwards, the issues were repeatedly misdiagnosed. I was informed that specific parts had been replaced, however a subsequent dealer later replaced the same component again — at which point DM Keith denied ever working on that part.
Communication deteriorated significantly during the process, with emails eventually going unanswered altogether.
I also submitted a Subject Access Request. Information provided was incomplete, with key items (including a video and final workshop report referenced in internal communications) not disclosed.
The situation ultimately had to be escalated to the Financial Ombudsman, who ruled in my favour. The finance agreement was formally unwound, and the vehicle has now been returned.
What is most disappointing is that more time appeared to be spent disputing and deflecting the issue than properly diagnosing it. The vehicle itself had the potential to be very good, but the overall experience turned into a 12-month process that could likely have been avoided with a more thorough and transparent approach.
This has been the worst experience I’ve had with a dealership.

AVOID!!! Even if its out of the way go somewhere else! I took my car in for a fault resolving under warranty which i was convinced to take out by DM keith. WOW, it took them 3 months to resolve the issue and the service was shocking (i told them the issue was the same as the issue i had a year ago - BCM board was faulty). No phone calls...advised to come down to collect my car when it wasnt ready, costing me time and money on trips backwards and forwards (even went through multiple "master" mechanics. Just shockingly bad. Even worst, DM Keith are NOT interested in resolving anything at all...Just play you off with a the usual fob off (we will update our internal communication policies...soz but hey ho). I have a Skoda Octavia 2019 with circa 50K miles on it. Ive paid for a software update of £170+ for a different fault, it wasn't even in for and didn't resolve the issue, and was told they couldn't move forward with repair until this is done...(bear in mind i told them the issue was the same as the issue i had a year ago - BCM board was faulty). If i was a company it would be expected for me to charge DM Keith for the time chasing and on going backwards and forwards for reports and - DM Keith charge Skoda as part of my warranty for all the time they spent working on these vehicles. Even when i asked to complain, i was told to complain to Skoda...about DM Keiths Service...Bonkers! Even after acknowledging fault, No compensation, no refund no nothing. Ive complained to Skoda as well...Even they were perplexed why i was advised to contact Skoda about DM Keiths customer Service...

I visited the Ashton Under Lyne branch looking for a second hand Suzuki Swift. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable and very friendly and courteous. They informed me of a special deal they had on ; the brand new Suzuki Swifts currently had £5,000 off. After speaking to my son on the phone l decided to go for it. Nick who dealt with me was amazing- he told me we could sort it all out and l could drive home in my new car that same afternoon! He took me for a test drive and explained all the features of the car to me really well. He then sorted out all the paperwork, tax and 5 day free cover insurance- the whole process was seamless and easy. Nick made me a cup of tea and was just brilliant. I was a bit nervous about finding a garage in Ashton to put petrol in to get me home so he got a member of staff to go and put petrol in the car for me.
It all seemed to have happened in a whirlwind- l wasn’t expecting to drive home in a brand new car but the offer seemed too good to pass by. Nick was friendly and made me feel comfortable and confident to drive the car away. There was no pressurised sales techniques- just honest advice and good information. Actually all the staff members l encountered there were just brilliant. I absolutely love my new car and l would recommend this car dealership to anyone who wants to buy a new or used car. So thank you DM Keith, special thanks to Nick you were great and thanks to all the team there - a friendly professional service was delivered!

DM Keith Ashton Under-Lyne.
I went with my wife when she was looking to get a new car and ended up test driving a Subaru Forrester, I decided that that was the car for me. I went back a few weeks later for another test drive, Nick put me on the company insurance and told me to take the test car for an hour or so to make sure I was happy, I signed up as soon as I got back. I wanted a Green or Black one but on the day Nick told me that there were none in their network (or even in the country) so it might have to be a factory order that would be a 5 month delivery, but on Monday they could speak to Subaru. Nick rang me on Monday morning telling me that they had got a Black Forrester for me and it would be there before the end of March. I am now the very happy owner of a Subaru Forrester thanks to Nick and all the staff that work in the back making everything happen at DM Keith in Ashton and everyone they contacted at Subaru on my behalf. Great job guys. When my 17yr old passes his test we will be back.

My Father and I visited the York garage last week with the intention of test driving the Skoda Kodiaq. Charlotte took us out for the test drive and she was brilliant, fantastic knowledge of the vehicle, helpful and professional at all times. My Father subsequently purchased the latest model in the showroom with a seamless transaction process with Charlotte's sales manager. Both were super helpful, informative and great comms following purchase, right through to collection. Would highly recommend this garage and will be using them for all car maintenance going forward! 5* service.

Bought a brand new Cupra from here (York branch). Firstly the car was physically delivered to my address by a salesman with a warning light on the dashboard. This ultimately took 4 return trips to the dealer to be resolved and involved the loss of use of the car. A pre delivery inspection should have spotted this. No offer of compensation for the inconvenience and time.
The car was (and still is) advertised on Cupra’s website as having two technical features which it does not. The salesman on my test drive specifically discussed one of those features and how it worked. When raising this with the salesman and then the Sales Manager I was passed off to their service department when this is a sales issue. I bought a car advertised as having certain features which it doesn’t have. Even the service manager was unhappy it had been “dumped “ on him (although the service manager was extremely helpful).
Ultimately it turns out the car is misadvertised. I have the screen prints of Cupra’s website and the cache pages showing it was advertised from release date as having those features. I’ve involved Cupra head office and the dealer is washing their hands of it saying it’s not their fault and they rely on the brochure instead of the advertising. Had I known the two features would not be present in this car I would probably have purchased the lower grade within the range and saved my money or bought another vehicle.
So the moral is, buy a car here and if there are issues expect to be brushed off by the sales team who want to move onto their next customer.

At DM Keith Doncaster the sales team were great and routine servicing has been straightforward but the problem that we have experienced relates to warranty repair in the event of breakdown.
The RAC attended when our vehicle broke down but we could not be towed to the DM Keith site for warranty inspection due to lack of space as its a small site.
DM Keith offered a date in the future to undertake the warranty inspection but since the car was undriveable that wasn't of help & we ended up towed elsewhere for a repair that should have been covered under warranty.
I would suggest prospective buyers keep this in mind if warranty is a consideration.
