I am DesignContest user for many years and never had negative experience, if certain issue had came along it was solved fast and fairly. I must say that admin Sharie is great and very helpful, while DC is a nice community.

Most of designers are skilled with original designs. They are happy to help you to get design you want, and they are working their socks off. :)
Of course, as elsewhere, there are occasional fraud designers who try to win with copying existing art, other designers or use AI generated art - later complaining, writing bad reviews how they were not being paid for their scams. Be aware of them - they are usually easy to notice. It is good to check designers' portfolios before choosing winning design.

Clients are mostly nice and complete the contest. Rarely there are wishy-washy people or those who ask for refund.

I went on to be a designer. They gave me infractions and banned me for 2 years. You give them free designs so they can make money, and they have no appreciation for you. They let me enter one of the contests and kicked me out.

The worst contest site ever. Awful communication, you're lucky to get any reply at all from the website management, and if you do, they treat their designers like crap. The briefings are ridiculous, they're so vague, it's anyone's guess what the client wants. Contests closing with no winners being nominated is also a common thing. In general, the quality of the designs submitted is just horrendous, but that doesn't matter, because if you look at the designs selected and rated, it's easy to see that the contest holders don't have a clue of what they're doing. Getting your design copied by other designers, is also completely normal, anything goes, and the website management couldn't care less. Would you like to clarify or discuss some aspect of the briefing with the client? You can't. Only after you submit a design, you can post questions. Expect the contest-holder to reply to your question? Forget it. So, if you like to work for free, in the dark, for lousy prizes, with clients that have no idea of what they're doing, and still get treated like crap, by the ignorant lady that manages the site and who also has no clue of how to manage such things, or even how to talk to people, this is for you.

This site is for real designers.
My experience of participation in DesignContest is 5 years, more experience, thousands of works and wining of contests. This is a platform for real designers. Powerful creative work is going on at the DesignContest every day, the customers are always satisfied with the work of designers on DesignContest.

I am a designer here. I only had good experiences with them. I like the practical interface and the support team. They only pay designers once a week, but usually there are no delays. I would like more contests, sometimes I feel no one is taking care of attracting more contests to the platform. Eventually, guaranteed contests. :)

The missing star is just for this: what I don't like, is the fact that all refunded or abandoned contests are removed completely from the website and you can't keep a fair history of all your work on their platform. And I believe more transparency in this matter will help.

This was my first time working with design contest. Wonderful experience so far. I was having trouble starting my contest, so I sent them a message through the chat. Sharie swiftly fixed the issue and got my contest up and running within a few minutes. Amazing customer service. I would highly recommend!

I just finalized my third DesignContest and look forward to my next one!
The quality and number of designs presented made it an adventure to choose just the right one for my new business.
In each of the three contests I ran, high-resolution files were sent in multiple formats, making them extremely useful for current and upcoming plans.
Navigating the language barrier in the finalization stage did take careful wording and patience on both my part and that of the chosen designer. However, once the small changes were updated, the final product turned out fantastic!

Honesty is a virtue, my humble advice, they should allow the system to work and not interfere. They should stop lying. My worse experience is their negligence to do due diligence on a client who used fraudulent Mastercard. This client took all our designs from six or seven designers without paying a dime. How can this happen. I don't want to say the company is fraud but with the way they are doing things and how things are moving, am beginning to believe they are engage in some fraudulent activities and they need to be investigated. The company they said engaged in fraud and took away six or seven designs without payment was Lab-Away. Gosh

Worse site dont waste your time on this site. Any positive reviews are from the insiders that probably work there. They take your idea then they delete and ban it informing you that it was copied from somewhere. When you ask them to prove it or at least to let you know which part is copied, they ignore and ban you. I repeat do not waste your time basically working for free for these scumbags.

Design contest is a scam, Repeatedly gives infraction points while I did not steal any art from anyone.

OMG, this site is incredibly slooow and they compress image so hard in order save space and the result is image too blurry. I hope they allocate more funds to add high bandwith or storage. But this site is good.. 10 times better than designcrowd.
