The overall experience working with CustomMade was great. The staff provided a lot of great information and visuals about the design of the rings, different gems, and the whole project process in an easy step by step plan. They are with you for every step of the way and answer any questions you might have. A couple features I found that worked best for me while working with them was that they worked with my pace and would give me as much time as I needed before each step and worked with my budget so I could get the perfect ring CustomMade. I love this company and will highly recommend it.

I had an excellent experience with Custom Made. My fiancé used this service to make my ring so I used it to make his wedding band.
They provided experts every step of the way and updated you very frequently on the ring making process.

I'll admit--at least for me--that buying out of the case at a Jeweler's would have been easier but few, if any, jewelers offer really distinctive merchandise. I wanted something very specific--which is why I chose Custom Made. The representative with whom I worked had infinite patience and maintained a stellar attitude in spite of numerous back-and-forths. And now that I've received my piece, I'm even more impressed with the razor sharp finishing. VERY HAPPY!

When I first looked into making custom jewelry the internet was full of sponsored ads and it almost seemed overwhelming for me. I had to do a lot of research before I settled on CustomMade.com; when I decided to move forward in discussion I was initially very hesitant because it was an internet based company that had no home office or brick and mortar site at the time and I worried that it may be a scam. I did my research on several different review sites and better business bureau and found no concerning commentary but rather to the contrary lots of good reviews! This helped to put my mind at ease I then began discussing with them my ideas for a custom piece and the more I worked with them the more I realized their level of professionalism and dedication to delivering an amazing product.

By the time I had the first 3D-rendering completed I felt completely at ease with the team at cCustom Made but it was no easy journey coming to the final product for I had many ideas and could not come to any decisive resolutions until much time had passed.

This passing of time did not deter them and when I went silent they sent emails every once in a while to check in on me and eventually when I was ready to resume my design with fresh ideas, we did so.

After a year and a half of back and forth for lack of my own motivation and inspiration (through no fault of their own) we finally came up with the design which was truly inspired and original and one I cherish.

Once I was settled on the design they were able to complete, from start to finish, a product that still amazes me every time I see it. Made and shipped to my door, in one month...imagine an exquisite platinum diamond and sapphire ring being created in design for a year and then in the actual completion time being able to be created in one month... it's just mind boggling, yet here it is, this beautiful piece of art that I absolutely love!

The entire team was truly incredible and I can say without any uncertainty I will be buying more products from them in the future! thank you all very much for such a wonderful experience!

What can I say just like anyone else I thought this was a scam. I thought it would be cheap or low quality and very expensive.
They change that mindset real quick
I gave them my budget they worked day in and out gave me ideas. Explain things to me and herd me out on how I wanted mine special.
They made it come to life and my lady won’t have matching Walmart rings. No offense to anyone but to me this is something important and something very special.

I was well cared for while working with the team, and they were very accommodating to my circumstances: communicating in short, brisk bursts, at all hours and from various time zones, in support of a highly compressed schedule. They helped me rapidly iterate on my ideas, providing variants to choose from and drilling down on the details I preferred, before ultimately delivering exactly what I had hoped for at a truly breakneck pace.

Two critiques that I would lay are that the gem expert seemed oddly determined to find me a 3ct stone, when I had specified 1.7-2.7cts as my preferred range (though we ultimately found a perfect 2.26ct stone), and that the photography of yellow gold on a yellow background makes for a muddier aesthetic that makes seeing the details more difficult (though I'm sure they would have reshot if I had asked, my time constraints prevented such a request).

Besides these genuinely minor nitpicks, I am extraordinarily happy with their work and would recommend them to anyone who wishes to have a quality custom ring made.

CustomMade.com is a great company. I was given 1 on 1 services, my ring came exactly how I wanted and extremely fast.

The design team was very helpful and listened directly to what I was telling them. They let me take the time I needed and I never felt rushed. Each step was well explained. The final product exceeded my expectations and my fiancé won’t stop saying how it’s exactly what she imagined. The quality is superb. Like some may have, I had my reservations of not seeing the ring in person until it was completed. But I couldn’t be happier and couldn’t trust the process any more now. Unfortunately, engagement rings are something I only want to have to design and buy once, otherwise I’d keep coming back here! Maybe a non-diamond piece in the future for an anniversary; I know Custom Made will be able to handle it!

My experience with CustomMade was amazing! I gave them the information of how I wanted my custom engagement ring to look and they NAILED IT. They communicated so well and I would get a response within a couple of hours. When there was a factor I didn't like about the project, they were happy to fix it for me with no additional cost. I highly recommend this company and will be coming again for future projects!

Normally, I don't respond well to emails that request reviews but I can't believe that I forgot to make one for CustomMade.

The staff is extremely polite, professional, and helpful. They were willing to work with me, someone who knows nothing about jewelry, to come up with a ring that I'm sure my love would adore.

I came into money troubles during the pandemic like most people and had to put my project on hiatus, they didn't even ask why I couldn't finish it. They simply wished me the best, thanked me for working with them, and said they'd be ready for me whenever I was able to come back.

Once I came back, I was excited to see that everyone I had previously worked with was still with the company and ready to see my ring come to reality. They were quick, motivated, and forthcoming about literally everything in every step of my project.

I can only hope to find a reason to hire them again and I will certainly recommend them to others in the future.

Stay away from this company at all costs for your bespoke jewelry needs.

These guys are so that bad I have signed up just to review them as I don't want to see more people getting ripped off!

When I asked to have a bespoke signet ring made in such a simple design they quoted me $3.1k. This is for an 18kt gold ring so you expect it to be somewhat pricy but when you are quoted such a high and way above market price you obviously need a little more information.

I came over to Custom Made due to their good reviews but I cant help feeling sorry for those happy reviewers as I know that like they tried to do with me they will have been ripped off as well.

When buying bespoke jewelry you expect to pay a premium for the materials and then for the design and labor process so when I asked for a rough breakdown of their $3.1k pricing I was surprised by the lack of professionalism when they insisted they didn't know how to break down the cost for me and repeatedly insisted I put down a deposit before we could discuss the matter further.

I decided to break the costs down myself on the little information they had given me. First of they said the gold weight would be around 15g-23g which is crazy high as they are usually around the 15g mark at a maximum. The price I was quoted was $3.1k for this ring so to break the cost down myself I took the materials cost from the quoted price and to be fair I used their highest weight (the outrageous 23g). 23g of 18kt gold comes to around $1.3k at the moment so take the gold cost away from the quoted price - $3.1k - $1.3k = $1.8k. Now I know there may be a premium on the payment of gold but bc I chose to work out from the 23g I decided not to factor this in. if I went with the bottom end and more reasonable weight (15g) its actually worse bc that's only worth $845 so round to $900 for a very generous premium on the gold.

Bear in mind the gold weight doesnt change the price according to them so you either pay them between $2.2k and $1.8k for them to design a ring that can cost and be worth no more than $1.3k.

You expect there to be a cost for the design and labor of making a bespoke piece but it should never be anywhere near what these guys charge. I have consulted many other companies and they are charging much less for a better and more reliable product.

If you are looking for a bespoke ring of any kind I would seriously recommend looking elsewhere, their prices along with customer service skills make me wonder how they are still in business. I have seen others giving them negative reviews based on customer service and the quality of their work so I would avoid them at all costs!

How they design/create rings has nothing to do with the price or the gold weight, nor should it affect the quality of the product. The weight is determined by your own design, not the way they do it. If you ask for certain dimensions as I did then there is only enough room for about 15g worth of gold which is pretty standard across the industry, by them wanting to put an extra 8g worth of gold in it to make it 23g the ring is going to be an extra 50% bigger than the dimensions you have asked for. Secondly no matter how much gold there is in a ring it should not improve the quality and durability... yes gold is a brittle metal and that's why you mix it with other alloys to harden it. At 18kt gold, a ring will become no more durable once it hits the right thickness and weight, and it's nowhere near 23g. Yes you can make it a couple mm thicker in the hopes its not going to break but those couple mm don't matter as a standard size signet is more than suitable in quality and durability. Essentially you are only putting in more gold weight into a ring if that is how you want it... for my example I gave them dimensions and they couldn't even tell me how much gold needed to be in there until they overshot it. I would probably guess they would say 23g of gold but on delivery it would not have the full gold weight in there.

Secondly, no matter if you have put in a deposit and started designing or not if they can give you a gold weight they can break down their pricing for you. They know how much they buy their gold for but if they won't give you this then just look online at the gold price in whatever karat and you will get a rough idea. They should then be able to do the simple math of taking their materials cost (gold) away from their quoted cost to get their services (services should not be anywhere near the same price of the materials unless you are using such small amounts or a non-precious metal... and they wanted to charge me almost 1.5x the gold price for a simple design and manufacturing process). If they cannot do this then I have no idea how they can give you a quoted price if they don't know how much each part costs.

Dont fall for the constant deposit pressure or you will lose that money when given the real breakdown and you realise you have been scammed!

I first got my fiancée’s engagement ring with Custom Made and the collaboration and communication was outstanding. The ring is beautiful and is great quality. We just ordered the wedding band off the site, and again the results are phenomenal. I would use this site for any type of ring or jewelry needed.

Working with CustomMade was a wonderful experience. They were always very timely with responses and I never felt as if they didn’t actually care. I gave them a few pictures of what I wanted and they exceeded expectations. I will definitely work with them in the future if I have the need!!

I'm so overwhelmingly impressed and happy with Custommades work. They were extremely patient with me changing plans, revised things as needed, put effort into every detail down the to what type of diamonds would be best. And best of all they worked with my tight budget! My fiancé cried (which is rare for her) seeing the ring which made me so happy to see her in love with it.
