You will not get what's advertised on their website, becarefulll.

It literally says "All Business Hosting Plans Come with Backup Automation" That's what is advertised on their website, but after purchasing the service and migrating some of my clients to Crazydomains hosting and needed to back up a website, I could not find a backup for the website or any of the other websites under the hosting account. I asked support and they said you only get manual backup, there's no automation like it says on the website!

So Help me understand what Backup Automation mean!

TRULY CRAZY AND INCOMPETENT !

Buyers beware. These muppets run an unsecure poorly managed website with deceptive pricing. If this is of interest please read further.
Living in Australia with a business in Greece I set up a Crazy Domains (CD) account and bought a domain in Oct/2025 incl. 3 related security products. In March/2026, after accessing my account 2-3 times using my credentials I was exploring whether I was eligible for a free Mini site or other Website-Builder plans. I selected a 15 day free trial. NOTE the deceptive Website Builder pricing, e.g. from €8.18/yr but when you examine your Cart find products to the value of €121.72 and no information whether it's annual or monthly. In my case I deleted all items in my Cart. Next I received a message that I need to verify my credentials so I uploaded my valid driving license that was accepted successfully. However my account was still blocked without prior notification and an email eventually received that my selected free trial was deleted with reason being Fraud. Upon contacting support (I-24939492) I am told my account was reviewed by the Order Verifications team unable to verify the validity of my orders and failed verification of my provided account information. When asking what other documents verifying my credentials I received another evasive hostile support response (i.e. they don't know) but told me my case will be further reviewed. After a few days the account was made accessible however Website Builder plans were inaccessible. Incredibly I then received an email [OEML-3250570] stating " We’ve recently reviewed account activity as part of our standard order verification process. During this review, several orders for the Website Builder trial were identified — each submitted from a newly created account and using inconsistent or incomplete verification details. ".
Conclusion - Don't waste your money and time using Crazy Domains. They don't want your business. As the name suggests this business is truly crazy, incompetent, unsecure, arrogant and hostile due to their own poor systems and processes. You have been warned.

Everything works - but predatory practices

Everything works, support is there - but they insist on readding items into your cart prior to payment, even after you removed them in previous steps. This is not clever - it's predatory and scammy, and should be discouraged.

Re Fixing my emails

My email was not working and Chuna was available and rang me when she said she would. She was very helpful in fixing it. Chuna was very patient. I am not very good with internet matters. She engaged Trustpilot and was good at explaining to me when to enter my password. I was able to access my emails on the web which was very good becaus I had been without email service for 2 days.

Hopeless and incompetent, dont deal with them or subsidiaries

This is the owner of Vodien an incompetent hosting company. It appears their parent company has faced significant complaints and legal action regarding its business practices. Certainly my experience with them shows they cannot even correct a domain record they took over from my previous provider. My email system has been down for over 57 hours and no sign of a solution. Their support seems to be limited to young overseas staff who have no access to systems and no real expertise, deferrring to mysterious "System Admins, who never provide any contact and appear lost when a technical problem arises. JUST DON"T USE THEM!!!
Update: They never managed to fix their faulty web208 server and my email, and I was able to move to a far more competent hosting service in Australia called VentraIP, who made the whole process painless and fast. They even sped up DNS promulgation which helped. Now, despite copying their complaints email address with almost every email, they (Crazy Domains) still want more. It seems their internal procedures do not work. Anyway, good riddance to Vodien, Crazy Domains and Dreamscape.

UPDATE: Despite having more than a year to go with Domain Hosting on Vodien, after being forced to move to another provider, they offered a $50 refund and closed the internal ticket they created for this, claim that it is "outside their refund p[policy" then simply stop responding to emails. DO NOT USE THEM.

BAD Customer Service

The customer service is bad in handling cases and fast resolution.
1st Concern case ID: IEML-1633770 ... My Account is Disable , no communication , no notification , nothing at all, no update . Send an email to them about it ,as of date no reply on the email.
2nd concern case ID: IEML-1634633 ... No update on the other case regarding question and concern about domain initial timeframe set up and timeframe of domain transfer flow clarification and update the domain marketplace where I am selling my domain name.

Support is hit or miss, and Crazy Domains rob you of extra hidden fees. I purchased $200 of domains, just to be told TXT records are a premium feature, leaving me with junk domains unless I fork out even more! If you get Angelica or Anne from support, refresh for a new agent :(
Also be careful to disable all the useless hidden 'upgrades' posed as free when purchasing anything. They will renew and charge you a bucketload.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH CRAZY DOMAINS FOR ANYTHING. AS THE NAME SUGGESTS YOU'D HAVE TO BE CRAZY. THEY WILL HOUND AND HOUND YOU EVERY SECOND DAY WHEN YOU ARE TWO MONTHS OUT OF RENEWAL. THEIR EMAILS ARE 'URGENT' AND BORDERLINE THREATENING. THEN THE AMOUNT YOU GET QUOTED IS NOT THE AMOUNT YOU GET CHARGED. THERE ARE HIDDEN EXTRA SERVICES ATTACHED AND IF YOU TAKE IT FOR FACE VALUE, YOU WILL FIND YOU ARE CHARGED AT LEAST DOUBLE. THE MINUTE I SAW THE PAYPAL BILL FOR DOUBLE I RANG THEM AND TOLD THEM I WANTED TO CANCEL EVERYTHING AND WANTED A REFUND BECAUSE OF THEIR DISHINESTY. THEY OFFERED ME A CREDIT. WHAT THE HELL AND I GOING TO DO WITH A CREDIT IF I AM CANCELLING ALL SERVICES. THEY ARE FILTHY. STEAR CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!

Charged card without authorisation and refused to refund me.

Their auto-renew featured billed my card despite my trying to remove all cards on file. Previously they'd been helpful in assisting. However, they refused to refund me the amount that was auto-billed. I didn't authorise them to bill my card. I told them I tried to remove my card to stop the auto-renew/billing, but they told me it's impossible to remove the card on file. So unless you login, and turn off the auto-renewal of any products, you're helpless to remove your card and will get charged. I didn't authorise the charge. They charged me anyway, with a card I couldn't remove from their files. Less than a one star in this occassion.

I paid a hosting fee accidently…

I paid a hosting fee accidently forgetting my store is hosted by Shopify.
This was my email:
• The payment was made in error
• The website is hosted by Shopify
• I never agreed to your credit
• I have sold the business and cannot use your services.
• Consequently, I have no need of a credit on my account for further services
• The new owner wants to transfer the hosting away from your company
They refused to refund me and sited terms and conditions and closed the case without my permisssion. BEWARE! Scammers! Stay away!

The biggest rip off ever

The biggest rip off ever!
Money hungry people wait to rip us off! I bought titanium email an year ago, and when its time to renew they added two email accounts without an option to remove one of them.
Multiple calls later they claim its a technical issue and will call back in one day two days .. unfaithful, money hungry, unethical people. I had no choice but to renew with both the emails when i only ever needed one because the due date was here and they didnt let me pay for one!!
How can a company operate so unethically!! I am moving everything soon .. but if you are watching this!! Dont get lured into these money hungry people!! They are scam artists!! Stay away

I sell my domains on the Sedo…

I sell my domains on the Sedo marketplace, but this registrar appears to have ongoing issues with Sedo MLS distribution. My domains are not showing as premium listings in their website search results, even though they are properly listed with Buy Now pricing on Sedo.

When I contacted support, the responses I received contained incorrect information and generic explanations that did not address the actual problem. Unfortunately, the issue could not be escalated properly, which made it difficult to get a clear resolution.

Overall, the lack of accurate support and the MLS distribution problem make it challenging to rely on this registrar for selling premium domains.

CrazyDomains Exposed My Phone Number, Address and ABN to Scammers

I had a disgusting experience with CrazyDomains.

After purchasing my domains through their website, my phone has not stopped ringing with scam calls about my websites and domain registrations. This only started after I bought my domains from CrazyDomains.

I later discovered that CrazyDomains had published all of my private information publicly through WHOIS without my permission or proper warning. This included extremely sensitive information such as my phone number, ABN, and even my home address. When purchasing the domain, there was no clear option or notice to hide my personal details, which is something most reputable domain providers offer automatically.

When I contacted their support team about this serious privacy issue, they were completely unhelpful. Instead of resolving the problem, they simply told me I can buy their privacy protection service—but by that point the damage was already done and my personal information had already been scraped and shared everywhere.

What makes this worse is that most other domain registrars provide WHOIS privacy protection for free to protect their customers from spam, scams, and harassment. CrazyDomains clearly does not respect their customers' privacy.

Publishing someone's phone number, home address, and ABN publicly without clear consent is unacceptable, and then asking them to pay to protect it afterward is even worse.

I strongly recommend avoiding CrazyDomains and choosing a domain provider that actually respects customer privacy and security.
