Expensive rubbish
Paid £1300 six years ago for a celsi ultiflame fire and fireplace
Only used heat a few times just had flames going on an evening and its stopped working
Had to pay an engineer to find its no good any more and cannot be fixed would definately not buy a celsi again they are rubbish at a high price and cannot fit another fire in the surround so have to replace it all
3 major faults in 6 years
My celsi vega electric fire has had a few issues first was noise was under warranty so got fixed then a light we fixed ourself as just out of warranty, now another important light, it’s 6 years old and it needs an engineer as we bought a replacement strip light and it was the same fault meaning it’s an electrical fault. Electrician wasn’t sure how to fix. Reached out to the servicing email again as was happy to pay to get fixed and the responses were very slow with no assistance. I asked for details of someone that could fix and they sent me a number for a gas company! It’s an electric fire. £1400.00 it cost after 6 years it should not brake so may times when it just sits there and isn’t touched! Gutted and would never buy from them again.

The flame effect video now does it's own random flame effect on all settings
Not a product I would recommend for the price charged
New model fails in its basic function
I recently purchased a new Celsi electric flame e-DLX media wall fire costing over £1600. On the face of it this should be a great fire as it has an IR Remote control, App control and Alexa Skill linking for voice control. The flame effect is also pretty amazing. However, in it's most basic function as a thermostatically controlled heater it is sorely lacking. When the fire is turned on, even with the heater off, the room temperature reading over time drifts up to between 2 and 4 degrees above actual room temperature meaning that the target temperature has to be raised 2 to 4 degrees above true room temperature to operate the heater either using the App, Alexa or the remote!
For example, if the fire is turned on to raise the room temperature from 20 to 21 degrees the fire responds correctly when first turned on. However, once the room has warmed to 21 and the heater cuts out, after a short period of time, the fire incorrectly registers the room temperature as 23 degrees and not 21. When the room then cools to say 19 degrees and the heater should turn on again it doesn't because it thinks the room temperature is 21 and not 19!
Celsi say "we will investigate, but any modification will not happen any time soon, due to workload and current inventory level"
As a retired couple we could not take up the generous offer made of a visit to the factory. We are not in a position to have an expensive media wall remade with a different fire either so we are stuck with it! We do live in hope though that a suitable modification will be made to the fire which will result in it having a sensor which accurately measures room temperature.
I bought my Celsi fire from a well…
I bought my Celsi fire from a well respected company, R N Williams, which is based in St Asaph North Wales. It was put in place by another company which was recommended by them. They were extremely expensive and not particularly impressive.
However, after quite a short time after installation, the fire tarted to smell of burning and the fan become very noisy. I did nothing about it. A few weeks later the fan stopped working completely, but I could still use the flame effect. Then the remote packed up and I put new batteries in. Still nothing. I am now expecting a new fire but am worried that, having read these reviews, that I have made a massive mistake in buying this product.

I wish i had read these reviews before purchasing a Celsi fire. We have only had the fire for two months. It is extremely noisy and the remote is too complicated for us to use.
The fire is very noisy
The fire is very noisy, flames stopped working after the first year. I have been not been able to get in touch with Celsi to have an engineer look at the fire. Would not recommend a Celsi product.
Stay well clear of Celsi fires
Stay well clear of Celsi fires , my Celsi wall mounted fire element and blower have blown and are impossible to get to unless you have the knowledge to dismantle the fire . Even their engineer can’t be bothered to turn up when an appointment was arranged then went radio silent . £900 on a fire that can’t be repaired.
My Celsi electric fire.
I purchased a£700 wall mounted fire This fire lasted 8 years. It cannot be repaired. The heating element giving warmth was hardly used. The flame effect gave a warm glow to the room in the winter. I absolutely feel that this fire should be repairable. .
No good news here.................
We have had a celsi electric fire for a number of years and never used the actual heater as the room thus far has been warm enough without it. We have, however, used the flame effect though not very often. Last night it just turned off by itself. Checked fuse and that's OK, Tried another electric socket, still no good. So I ended up on line searching for an answer. Having landed on these pages I guess my answer is, buya new fire.................but NOT a CELSI. Ah! Well, c'est la vie.
celsi - a great experience. well done and thanks
I purchased celsi electric fire model b-127960. it was a while ago in 2019 from stoves rus. I have been extremely pleased with this electric fire as it heats the room up making it warm and toasty and the movie of fire/logs is warming and pleasing to see. also the mood lighting is amazing. the remote control is simple to use. i rarely leave reviews but felt compelled too as this product has far exceeded my expectations. i also had a query and the company-celsi were efficient and helpful
Awful Customer Service
I wanted to buy a celsi electric stand alone stove and called the Company with some questions regarding the different models. Sadly the man I spoke to was awful. He really could not be bothered. He was off hand, disinterested and made feel that I was more of a nuisance than a keen customer. I do so want to buy British, but if this is typical of British Companies no wonder the rest of the world is leaving us behind

Made in UK so parts should be easy to come by. Staff at Celsi very helpful and although we had a slight hiccup with wrong trim sent, the problem was readily rectified and new part delivered in 48 hours. I actually bought the Celsi VR Designer log fire through one of their suppliers (Direct Fireplaces) and would also recommend them. Very happy with my new fire and the service from both Celsi and Direct Fireplaces.

Discrimination Of Northern Irish Customers.
Tried to order a Celsi fire from Direct Fireplaces, the fire being delivered direct from the manufacturer. Put in postcode at check out an no additional delivery was levied. Then today I get this!!!
"Dear Customer, I’m very sorry but unfortunately Celsi do not offer warranty on their electric fires for orders in Northern Ireland and they do also incur an additional delivery charge of £60. If you're still happy to proceed we can take payment for the delivery and get the order organised. Kind Regards, Direct Fireplaces"
If you live in Northern Ireland you do not get a warranty on their products....Disgusting!
Travertine electric fire
I too have travertine electric remote fire which is rarely used but we do put the artificial flames on as it looks good. It’s out of warranty and simply just stopped working completely.
Celsi did not want to know.
£1200 and useless. Pay heed to what others are saying before you buy!!
Terrible…
Bought the Celsi Electricflame 4 years ago
Used for 10 hours each winter to supplement central heating so in total about 40 hours use
It’s now packed in completely
Celsi first said for me to use my own electrician to liaise with them over the phone and when I asked about dropping it of they said their engineer could not look at it for weeks !!!!!
Needless to say I probably need a new fire but defo will not be getting a Celsi.
Looking at the other reviews it’s a shame I missed them before I bought mine.
Celsie Puraflame Camber inset fire 22"
The design of the Celsie puraflame fire is absolutely ridiculous. The artificial flame works via an SD card which is located at the bottom of the fire. Inside. The one part that is likely to go wrong and need replacing within a few years is not readily accessible, which means, the fire needs to be fully dismantled to access it. Our fire is now in pieces on the dining room table. Once dismantled it was like a clown car, all the pieces just came off ...with zero chance of putting them back together to its original state without a manual or any advice from the Celsie after care or technical teams. When i contacted Celsie for help, the service care team was unhelpful as was the technical team. Shocking design. Poor service. Stay clear unless you've got money to burn....
Celsi Fire bought from BFM Europe Ltd
I have just had a Celsi Electristove XD1 delivered, bought from a local dealer. The door is very slightly out of alignment; when the heating is turned on, the door handle rattles loudly - I have to jam it with a small piece of cardboard; the heater itself is very noisy. All this for over £400! Do BFM have any final checks on their products? British workmanship at it's finest!
Don't do Celsi!
I have had a Celsi Enchant wall mounted fire for about 5 years. For about the last 3 years, it's been an ornament on the wall. Like a previous review, their service department when contacted, could not supply details of a local repairer. I have just removed it from the wall. Disappointed is an understatement.
Celsi Travertine Electriflame Fire
Agree with previous comments by others - I have got a five year old Celsi Travertine electiflame fire, looks good in the room but has been noisy. It has recently stopped working completely, the best the service department can is to provide the contact details for an engineer 70 miles away. Too expensive to regard as disposable after 5 years - avoid.
