We’ve just returned from yet another magical break at Bainland Lodge Park and I felt compelled to write this review after seeing some of the negative feedback online.
This was our latest in a series of annual visits to Bainland, and once again, they’ve exceeded our expectations. This time we stayed in The Cove, which was absolutely magical - the perfect setting for a family break.
The kids absolutely loved it from start to finish. The food was excellent throughout our stay, and the staff were genuinely helpful and attentive without being overbearing - they struck that perfect balance.
I understand that everyone’s experience can differ and I’m not dismissing others’ concerns, but I have to say that over multiple years of visiting Bainland, we’ve consistently had wonderful experiences. The team here clearly takes pride in what they do and it shows.
For families looking for a reliable, quality break where the kids will be entertained and the adults can actually relax, I can’t recommend Bainland highly enough. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

We have just returned from a very disappointing short break in Bainland lodges, described as ‘luxury’ - the Laughton.
Upon arrival the slashed linings of both the door and patio curtain gave the impression of shabby accommodation. The shower room smelt of damp and mould due to the spongy wet flooring. One of the gas rings on the hob didn’t not work properly. The mattress in the bedroom was lumpy and the bed was on its last legs - literally the right leg on the bed was just about hanging on to the creaking frame.
The Nest is very pricey for basic burgers and hot dogs, and the pool is very small with lots of unclean areas.

We went back to Bainland as a party of 10 We decided this time to stay in the Coach House From Friday to Monday Everything about the Coach House is excellent The space is amazing Dog Friendly and every room has its own En- Suite They are all spotlessly clean With a large enclosed garden and two hot tubs and a snooker table Also very close to the the Nest .All the staff are very friendly .Security is excellent and the Guy on the gate is lovely and help full

Part of a 50th birthday celebration. We stayed in the English Garden Villa. Everything was perfect and really added to a fantastic time. We used the delivery service to eat and ate in the The Nest Restaurant. All the food was well prepared and very tasty. Highly recommended

We stayed at Bainland in 2 lodges, family, friends and 2 dogs. We were so happy with the lodges. Very spacious and clean, with plenty of mod-cons including a hot tub. We had large fenced in gardens for the dogs. All the staff were very friendly, polite and respectful. They couldn’t do enough for us. On the whole a very enjoyable 4 night stay

Was so looking forward to our mid week break at Bainland Lodges. we booked a year ago to stay in the Big Beast Safari Tent. We booked almost year ago and I have paid it monthly as a surprise for my family.

I am so disappointed, when we arrived, we realised the main part of the site is under construction. We quickly realised that, half of the facilities advertised are not fully open! The bar and resturant full indoor area is closed and only outside dining and bar available! This would t be so bad, however, directly infront of the outside resturant and bar is a okay area being constructed! Your are drowned in noise from chainsaws and other mechanical machinery! It has absolutely ruined our much awaiting break! We are unable to eat or drink away from our cabin due to the construction and noise!

We were not informed at the time of booking or at any point previous to arriving that there would be any construction going on during our stay! Had we known we would have changed the dates of our much awaited stay.

Very poor customer service. When I mentioned to staff in reception that we weren’t informed of any renovations/construction, I was shrugged at! The young girl didn’t know what to say in response.

I am so disappointed.
