Almaarie is an anti-fast fashion brand dedicated to ethical fashion. I met Sheila, the founder at a makers fair in Leyton at the Jubilee Park. Sheila offered to post the tunic I chose to buy, as she didn't have the right size to hand. The parcel arrived beautifully wrapped in tissue and exactly on time as requested. Sheila is very helpful and enthusiastic about her brand and also sells other sustainable brands. The unique tunic I bought was from a British brand called Nila Rubia, a brand dedicated to ethical and sustainable production as well as giving back to the community in Rajasthan where their clothes are made. The colours are beautiful and the fabric an extraordinary 'vegan silk' made from bamboo. The fabric was hand printed by local artisans using a traditional Japanese block printing method. I am blown away by this original piece of clothing. I VERY rarely buy anything new because I find 'fast' and cheap fashion unappealing and wasteful. I am absolutely delighted with this purchase. It is like wearing a piece of art!

I ordered some items from Spain. Due to Covid situation, the package took more time than expected to arrived. Nevertheless, I contacted the brand and they apologised and helped me in tracking my package. When it arrived, the package was in very good conditions. The quality of not only the clothes but also the box ( even the labels! ) was exceptional and the perfume they spread was really delicious. Very good quality for a reasonable price :).

Almaarie carries my favorite designer, Nila Rubia. I honestly wear these dresses everyday, even during the pandemic. I live in America, and especially during this pandemic, it's difficult to find clothesI like online and especially with a shop I trust. Everything arrives in perfect condition, wrapped beautifully. Almaarie is my new favorite shop!
