I'd never used a travel guide or company before, so I didn't know what to expect. What I was looking for: an affordable approach to seeing Scotland for me and my mother in which we did not have to worry about logistics. Adventure Tours UK filled those requirements 100%. One night we were on the way to our booking at an Inn on Skye, when we were rerouted to another lodging, as the original Inn booked had unexpected flooding and could no longer host us. If we had been on our own, I'm not sure what we would've done, as accommodation on the Isle is extremely hard to find on your own in the busy season. We felt very taken care of, and never had to stress about the details. My mother and I were interested in hiking, beach-combing, and taking in the glorious beauty of Scotland. We were able to do all this and more. I highly recommend Adventure Tours UK for those who don't want to deal with all the details, want more freedom from the logistics and just want to enjoy the ride.

Had a fabulous experience in Scotland with Adventure Tours UK supporting our self-made trip. The customer service was excellent from the start. Claire and Charlie listened well to our hopes and needs, and they worked hard to accomodate our dates on quite short notice. There were some very challenging hills, trails, fields and lets not forget the bogs!!

There were only four of us, Michelle the tour guide, Claire the event organiser, Konrad and myself.

Claire runs a very professional company, all luggage transfers taken care of throughout the three days. Hotels, breakfast and most meals included.

Michelle is an amazing guide on ultra distance running. Checking everyone was drinking and eating enough. Encouraging all the way through.
Also a sneaky extra 200m climb at the end 🤗
Even on her train journey home she was messaging all of us with advice 💞

I found Adventure Tours UK via an online search. We were looking for a more active hiking tour in the Scottish Highlands with some culture mixed in and their website description was excellent. However, what sealed it for me was I then had a video conversation with them. Claire really took the time to understand what we were looking for (we are a family of 4 with adult children). We talked through different hikes since I was not familiar with the area, different options of where to stay and the logistics of getting from A to B. And since we were doing this self guided, the App provided gave us all different options of what to do each day depending on the type of hike we wanted to do and/or if the weather dictated we do something different. I can’t recommend them enough and will definitely book with them again.

We had a fantastic one week self‑guided e‑bike trip along the Pembrokeshire Coast in southwest Wales this May. The weather was breezy but perfect for cycling, and the scenery was incredible—rolling green hills, quiet country lanes, old railway paths, and hedgerows filled with wild garlic that smelled amazing. Every day offered something new.

Our accommodations were excellent, and our luggage was always waiting in our rooms when we arrived each evening, which made the experience feel seamless and well organized.

We really appreciated the freedom of the self‑guided format. It allowed us to ride at our own pace and stop for tea or ice cream whenever we felt like it. The digital GPS navigation was easy to follow and kept us confidently on track.

Before booking, we had a few questions, and Claire kindly arranged a video call to walk us through everything. That personal touch made a big difference and gave us full confidence in choosing this trip.

Highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to explore Wales in a relaxed, scenic, and well‑supported way.

If you are considering hiking within Eryri-Snowdonia national park, the 14 peaks challenge with Adventure Tours UK is the company to trust. This trip consists of three days of diverse terrain hiking, scrambling and exploring within the three main areas of Snowdonia-Carneddau, Glyderau and Snowdon. Each mountain is different, and I chose my favourite mountain from each of our days. Our guide Joe is an experienced mountaineer and volunteers for the local mountain rescue team, therefore, we were in very safe hands! Joe taught us some additional hiking, scrambling skills to help us succeed the challenge. This has been an amazing experience, one of my favourite hiking trips, and I will continue to use Adventure Tours UK for further hiking and adventure experience.

Our hotel-Glan Aber within the village Betws-y-Coed. The hotel staff looked after us well, my room was clean, breakfast included each morning.

We’ve just come back from a wonderful mindful walking weekend in Wales, and it truly exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning, the experience was smooth and reassuring. Claire from Adventure Tours UK was incredibly helpful in answering our questions beforehand, which made everything feel easy and well organised, thank you so much, Claire.

Once there, the mindful walk with Belinda was great. She is knowledgeable, kind, attentive, and has a real gift for making everyone feel welcome. Her approach to mindfulness felt very inclusive and adaptable, so each person could take what they needed from the experience. For me, it was the perfect balance between enjoying beautiful walks with a small group of lovely people and taking moments to pause, breathe, and meditate.

The landscape was stunning, and we were so lucky with the weather (it had been raining earlier in the week). The Mulberry Inn, where we stayed, was perfect as well, big, comfortable rooms, delicious food. We felt genuinely spoilt.

Lovely mindful walking weekend in Llangollen with Belinda and a great group of folk! Beautiful scenery, meditations in nature and good company. Accommodation and food at the Mulberry Inn excellent. Highly recommend!

I have been on 3 self-guided walking trips so far with them and I absolutely enjoyed each trip. Their expertise in itinerary design and planning helps me to enjoy the trips without worries and hassles. Special thanks to Claire for the personal touch during the latest trip wherein she arranged a small breakfast bag knowing the hotel's breakfast might not be enough. I look forward to many more trips in the future.

Our 4th private running trip arranged by Adventure Tours UK and as excellent as ever. This time in Hathersage - great accommodation (comfy beds!) and great food options (for refuelling and a glass of wine!). The running routes were excellent and perfectly pitched to our group. We had the most amazing trip recently all thanks to AdventuretoursUK! The trip was planned with so much care and attention to detail. It was clear that Claire and her team really listened to our needs and planned accordingly. The places we stayed were all super welcoming and comfy! We’d recommend using their services to anyone planning on visiting the UK.

My wife and I recently completed a mostly tailor-made self guided bicycle trip in Southwest Wales. The planning and communication was superb. This is definitely an experienced company that makes you feel confident you're being taken care of. The routes that they planned for us were exactly what we wanted: areas with little traffic which are quite desolate, but mixed with towns and villages full of culture and great food. The accommodations were also exactly what we wanted, with several upgrades which came as a nice surprise. We are avid cyclists, and chose the tailor-made option because we wanted something a little more challenging than what was on their menu of options. They absolutely delivered.

We booked late and this must have made the organisation difficult fitting us into the available accommodation. However the use of taxis to transport you from the end of the walk to the accommodation and back again the next day was restricting. The weather we had was perfect and taking time out to sit by the loch would have been great but we had to rush to get the taxi. As the taxis had other pick ups delaying 30 minutes wasn't necessarily an option and in one case the minimum delay was 1.75 hrs and it was still a rush, so very little thought into how long these walks take. Couldn't have started earlier as limited by hotel breakfasts and taxi to start of walk. One accommodation handed out pre packaged continental breakfasts which whilst not great did mean you could set off walking early and take the breakfast with you.
The scenery and weather was amazing, well done for organising that!

Walking Hadrian's Wall was the second trip that ATUK organised for me. Once again, flawless execution and always on hand in case of any questions. Claire, Thea and the team are true experts in their field and a pleasure to deal with. I thoroughly recommend them.

Had the most amazing trip! Our guide Martin was excellent. It was a very challenging few days but was able to push myself to something I never thought I would do. The whole experience was great and couldn't recommend more!

Adventure Tours UK were a fantastic company to go with in booking an action-packed family holiday, who I would highly reccomend. We took a road trip down the coast of Wales, from North to South, stopping off at different locations and points of interest along the way. Activities included rock climbing, abseiling, gorge walking, white water rafting, surfing, coasteering and canoeing.

Thea and Claire at Adenture Tours did a great job on tayloring a trip that met all our needs. All accomodation and reccomendations for places to eat were fantastic, and communication prior to and throughout the trip was second to none - including helping out as much as possible when our car broke down!

Me and my husband went on the trip with our 3 teenage children. I was a little worried initially that we may not get to relax that much as were not staying in any one place for more than 3 days, however the way the trip was arranged allowed for the perfect mix of high energy activities together with some much appreciated down time; and moving on every few days kept things fresh and the kids engaged.

ATUK was awesome in setting up the trip to maximize the experiences I wanted to have - hiking, birding, and seeing historic sites. They were further awesome in supporting me when things didn't go according to plan, like my flight being delayed. Wonderful trip facilitated by ATUK! I highly recommend them!
