After applying to hundreds of internships over 8 months during my high credit load semesters, I was starting to lose hope that I would find an internship for this summer. I haven’t had any previous industry experience, so I was feeling pretty unlucky during my job search. One of my friends recommended Absolute internships to me, and after reaching out to them, I had a position within five days (interviewed, contracts signed, the whole nine)!

The internship was very cheap and matched me with a company that was just right for my situation. Even though there was just a week before the internship cycle began, they still matched me with a great company.

I recommend this company to anyone looking for a simple, quick, and quality internship experience. Loved them!

I had a great experience with Absolute Internship! You get what you pay for. My program coordinators, Marta and Tuti, were so helpful and nice throughout the whole process. We took fun weekend trips. I would be specific when they ask what kind of internship you want. I learned real world skills and have many connections now. I am happy I choose this program because it was better than the other ones I looked at. They were organized and I felt safe the entire time. This program is real, and worth it!

I absolutely loved the setting and responsibilities of my internship. Absolute Internship's placement allowed me to intern for a sustainability organization (which I want to study in college), largely in Spanish and supervised directly by the founder. This experience was incredible in helping me achieve my gap year goals, and I also met a wonderful international group of peers. Although I really enjoyed the experience of living in Barcelona university housing, my one complaint about the program is that our particular dorm was in a bad location in the city and didn't have good food.

the best part was exploring the city and getting immersed in the culture. the staff was always there to provide support and answer any questions you have.

The Absolute Internship team is fantastic, they take care about guys during all the staying. They think all and they always are available

Madrid was such a great place. Madrid is very big so there's a lot of different things to do. From parks, great food, people, fun clubs, and things to see. I had my own room with a gym in the basement, so I really coudnt have asked for better housing. I also was able to travel around Spain alot, for fairly cheap. Overall unforgettable trip

The places I would recommend are Tiki Taco, the Reina Sofía, El Retiro Park, a tour of Real Madrid stadium, Wow Hall, Icon, El Capital, Divorare sandwiches, any rooftop bar, brutal bar, and Tierra Burrito Bar.

They had many problems finding the right company for me, but in the end it was such a great experience

The experience I have had abroad in Madrid, Spain has been so much fun and I've learned a ton. The internship itself has been fantastic and SUPER flexible. The city is beautiful with lots to do. However, I signed up for the 4 week program in December of 2023. I am a very good student (well above a 3.0 GPA with lots of extra-circulars), but I did not hear back about my interview until 8 days before departure for Madrid (May 2024). This was not only me, but everyone else in the program as well. The people in charge at Absolute are rude, not communicative, and deceiving. The people in charge of placing you are not in any rush and blame you for not being placed an internship earlier because "you are taking the shorter experience which is harder to find". Funny enough, my friends who are here for 8 weeks were also placed 8 days out of departure as well. In addition, if it is so difficult to find an internship (that is free of pay) for the time slot offered, then don't offer it. The residence is not fantastic and the security/administration is rude and strict. There is no stairwell access granted to residents (gigantic fire hazard), and they do not allow any guests. They also have a curfew, basically treating you like children. You have to pay at least $3 every time you want to do laundry (per wash). They also make you sign a contract upon arrival with rules that should NOT exist, such as talking negatively about the program. My piece of advice is to go with a different program abroad, as many others can place you with an internship as well. Do not waste your time and money, ESPECIALLY for the Madrid, Spain experience. Also, writing this under Anonymous so they don't try and get me in trouble for not liking the program LOL.

I had the incredible opportunity to intern with a company based in Hong Kong, and the experience exceeded all my expectations. From day one, I was welcomed into a dynamic and innovative work environment that truly values learning and growth.

One of the highlights of my internship was the chance to learn directly from the CEO. Their guidance was instrumental in helping me understand the intricacies of the industry and develop my professional skills.

The team I worked with was also supportive and collaborative, creating a positive and productive atmosphere.

Going into my junior year of college, I knew I wanted to do something different with my summer. I started looking for abroad programs and will forever be thankful that I found Absolute Internship!

As an Entertainment Media major with a certificate in Music Business, I was hesitant than I could find industry experience in a different country by myself - that's when the Absolute Internship placement service proved to be an amazing investment in my future. After signing up for the 4-week program, I was expertly put in contact with a record label in Barcelona, Spain. Everyone in the program and in the office welcomed us with open arms and made Barcelona feel like home. It also helped that all Absolute Internship participants live together in a very nice student housing center near the Sagrada Familia. My friends and I traveled to Amsterdam, Mallorca, and Costa Brava on the weekends and experienced Spanish culture after work with tapas dinners, wine tours, Flamenco shows, concerts, and trips to the beach.

Not only did the program provide lifelong memories with lifelong friends, but it gave me the confidence to tackle a professional environment. If I can do it in Spain, the U.S. is no big deal! Finally, having industry experience on my resume has opened so many doors for me and has proven to be insanely advantageous to my career. In fact, I'm writing this review from my summer job at a label in Nashville, Tennessee.

During my internship with Flavors of Paris, I took on various projects to enhance the company's outreach and operations. This included reaching out to partners to inform them about their inclusion in our product, collaborating on creating QR-coded cards to boost reviews and site reach, managing email marketing campaigns for subscriber engagement, assisting in invoicing with my boss Lisa, and providing hardware solutions. These experiences allowed me to develop a range of new skills that proved valuable in both the internship and my own business endeavors.

Last summer I spent the summer in Portugal with Absolute Internship and had such a wonderful experience. Absolute made the transition into living in another country smooth and planned some amazing events! Such a lifechanging experience!

Absolute Internship paved the way for my career. I interned abroad two summers in a row, once in Paris and once in London. My second internship really opened new doors for me in my field and I was even brought to Paris to on a business trip where I was able to make life-long references. I am now working at Saint Laurent, a job I wouldn't have been hired for it it weren't for my prior jobs found through Absolute! I am forever grateful for them!

From the application process to our time in Lisbon, the Absolute staff was extremely helpful and supportive. One unique aspect that stood out to me about this program was how focused and personalized the internship placement process is to your career interests. The housing, trips, and program activities are extremely well-planned. Some of the things I did in Lisbon included a pastel de nata baking class, a fado show, and a Portuguese play. Our trips included going to Sintra, Porto, Cascais, and Ericeira. Lastly, my program coordinator (shout out to Marta) was beyond dedicated to showing us Portugal. My 2 months wouldn't have been the same without her!

Interning with Absolute was an investment that I did not expect to have such a big impact on me. It was my first solo endeavor abroad, living in my own terms, and working for a company full-time. The housing staff were amazing and I was able to get to know the city via locals on full 3 hour chats at the front desk. The Absolute Internship team were incredibly helpful from the start; since our first meeting to know more of my area to my positioning in a company, the job interview and on-site, the care the team shows to you in hopes of you having a wonderful experience is immense. Working on-site with the film production company was also amazing, getting to see their processes first hand and being involved in recordings, post-production and even having lunch with the co-workers. Living in Madrid was also incredible, it’s a vibrant and safe city in which you are able to explore many great historic places, eateries and meet great people. This program also allowed me to further enrich my résumé, also being able to meet my co-workers after the program ended back in my hometown to attend a film festival and getting to meet new film directors afterwards. It’s an investment that keeps on giving, as long as you just say ‘yes’ and take the plunge.

Great Internship that was incredibly helpful, along with good people and fantastic coordinators. I would highly recommend Absolute to anyone that is looking for an unforgettable experience abroad!

My internship in Tokyo was an amazing opportunity. I got to experience so many things that I wouldn't have been able to if I had just visited on my own, and I got to experience them with a group of people from all over the world! My program activities were much more in depth than I could have ever imagined (we even stayed at a fancy hotel with a spa, all included in the price)! I was so impressed by the housing as well, and it felt like an apartment for the summer with everyone in the program. My internship itself was a great experience, and they even hired me on to work as a paid intern remotely for the year. It was a bit tough finding one that worked out for my preferences in the beginning, but the Absolute staff was very accommodating and got me the in-person position that I was wanting. I highly recommend, Japan was incredible!
