My 8-month internship with Loyal Ecosystem, organized by Absolute Internship, was a fantastic learning experience. My internship in Barcelona was an enriching experience that allowed me to develop a diverse set of skills and gain valuable insights into the professional world. Throughout the internship, I honed my project management abilities by taking on responsibilities that required meticulous planning, time management, and coordination. I was involved in various stages of project execution, from initial brainstorming sessions to final presentations, which sharpened my ability to see tasks through from start to finish.

This past summer, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in an internship program in Barcelona that truly changed my life. From fulfilling long-held dreams to making lasting global connections, this experience was nothing short of transformative.

After 8 years of dreaming, I finally realized my goal of having an international experience. Living on a university campus in Barcelona allowed me to meet people from all over the world and practice both Spanish and English. I chose Barcelona to improve my Spanish, and while the internship was in English, which was great for practice, speaking and using Spanish daily was an incredible opportunity.

I visited six new cities and towns, including Barcelona, L’Estartit, and Carcassonne during the program trips. Afterward, I spent an additional week in Spain, exploring Madrid, Toledo, and Segovia. Barcelona has now become one of my favorite places. This program also introduced me to people from around the world. I enjoyed comparing our cultures, discovering our commonalities, and celebrating our differences. I experienced a bit of Spanish culture and glimpses of many others.

This was my first internship, and I applied my marketing skills while observing the organizational culture of a Barcelona startup. Additionally, as an Absolute Creator, I produced content for social media, including videos and photos. I made lasting global connections during my internship and with the program coordinators and fellow students, who I now proudly call friends.

A huge thank you to the Absolute Internship program for making this all possible. Without your support and opportunities, none of this would have happened.

Joining this program is one of the greatest decisions I’ve made in my life. I had a wonderful time in Barcelona. The experiences that I had in the internship and Barcelona were out of my expectations but in a fabulous way. I made new friends and people, got to know different cultures, and tried new things such as being an event assistant during my internship. Also, I would say the people are the highlight of my internship. The staff from Absolute Internship, the interns, people from my company, and Barcelona are amazing. This is the happiest moment that I’ve had in my life. Wish I could turn back the clock!

This program does a great job of personalizing your experience towards you and your major. Getting to gain experience in another country and having other students there with you makes for the best memories.

Madrid is a great place to intern abroad especially if it is your first time traveling alone. The locals are friendly, the public transportation is amazing, and I felt very safe throughout my entire experience. Absolute internship is a good option if you are lost trying to arrange an internship abroad. They will connect you with companies that align closely with your career goals and help to establish lasting connections to help you grow in your career. The program made it very easy to make friends to explore the city with.

Absolute internship not only provided me with lifelong friends and a summer full of memories, but it also provided me with professional experience. I was able to expand my network with alumni and with professionals in Spain. Learning about the work, life balance in Spain was an eye opening experience because of how different it is from company cultures in the United States. The program sets up weekend trips, day trips, and cultural activities that were always a great time and the program coordinators have plenty of recommendations for food, nightlife, and travel!

Absolute Internship provides its interns with such a nice community while abroad and the trips and activities we were able to go on were a highlight of my time overseas. I felt more secure knowing I had people I could reach out to and I loved the company I interned at.

The internship program with Absolute was truly a dream come true, as it allowed me to explore my passion for international law right in the heart of Paris! I was thrilled to gain insights into French law while building a close relationship with my incredible mentor, Maitre Richard. His dedication to providing me with a diverse experience, from corporate to sports law, went far beyond his specialty in real estate and urban law. I particularly loved working on projects related to legal neutral evaluation, an emerging area in France, and collaborating on a white paper and presentations about mediation in urban development. These experiences deepened my legal knowledge and helped me discover the areas of law that truly resonate with me. Additionally, what made this experience even more special was the amazing support from the program coordinators, who were always there to help and guide us. They organized unforgettable events, like a picnic by the Eiffel Tower and scenic boat rides along the Seine, which made the internship not just educational but also filled with fun and camaraderie. Moreover, this internship provided me with a well-rounded perspective on different legal careers, beyond just litigation. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity, the support, and the unforgettable experiences that have brought me closer to my dream of working in international law and clarified my future career path.

If you're thinking about interning abroad, this is an experience you definitely don't want to miss!

The smooth process of finding an internship, the amazing location, amazing staff to lead us in the new setting, and literally everything in Korea.

I really liked that Aware Logistics and Nadine (my supervisor) were constantly asking for my opinion on the work I was doing. It made me feel valued and important in the work that I was learning and doing for them. I also liked that Nadine made an effort to help me get to know everyone in the company and not just her. This gave me the opportunity to work with everyone including the CEO.

I write this review as if you are a student who is considering going using absolute internship for a study abroad internship. It contains advice which might be obvious, but please do not take it as though I am talking down to you. We have all just not known things before, and having a general understanding of things you can consider for the best outcomes is incredibly helpful for planning, especially if like me, you come from a family who had no experience in this kind of situation. My goal is to help put you at ease when making the decision and reduce the ambiguity of what you should do to have a good outcome, if you so choose to use absolute internship.

Absolute internship did an excellent job. They handled housing, a travel week, recruiting (you still need to do interviews and create a resume, but they can help you with it if needed; they gave me a template that Japanese businesses like). They paid for a lot more food in the first week than I anticipated, so keep that in mind when you plan your budget.

Do know, I went with a group of other college students to Japan, so I can only speak to this experience.

Do note, if you get sick, it will might be difficult depending on the country to where you intern to find medical attention. This happen a few times on my trip, and absolute internship did their best to help out (helping with transportation, translating, etc). If you are worried about potential medical problems, Google and YouTube healthcare in your destination country, so you can have enough cash to pay out of pocket, which can be reimbursed later (all according to your traveler's insurance; read your policy. If you do not know how to read your policy, you call the company offering it, and ask about any specific concerns and how their insurance works specifically).

I was lucky in that I found a wonderful company with whom to intern; however, a number of students in my group got quite unlucky with their internship placements, and they had a few horror stories.

However, these horror stories can be greatly mitigated if you too do research on the companies with whom you intern. Google the company you plan to interview with, read the information that absolute sends you (which is usually an info packet-esc document or powerpoint given by the company who intends to interview you). If the company's public image does not correspond to the packet, note it down for your interview; ask a question that lets the interviewer explain the discrepancy, without directly calling out the difference so not to come across rude. If the company does not have a public image, then you need to ask them specific questions to make sure you will not hate the internship experience. "Who are your customers? How many clients/customers do you have? What will my day to day activities look like? Do you do mentoring? Will I be working with fellow employees around me? If I was your perfect intern, what would you tell others was wonderful about me? If you were to hire me today, where would you best use my specific experience and skill set?" If you do this, you can mitigate bad experiences with companies.

Absolute internship for the recruitment process should be thought of as a done with you process, not a done for you process. If you view it with this perspective, you will be much more likely to gain an internship that you really enjoy and from which you will learn a lot. If you put in, even a moderate amount of, effort into the recruiting process, you can have a much greater chance of a wonderful experience!

I give 5 stars as this was an incredibly wonderful experience and was, although cliche, a life-changing experience. Do note, the internships are not paid, at least in my case. I am unsure if they do paid internships, but when looking into your program, make sure you know that ahead of time so that you can budget accordingly.

I would recommend absolute internship if you do the actions above, and you can afford to do so. Thank you for reading! :)

Very helpful, well-organized, fulfilling, and of course fun program that paired me up with a great company that matched my interests and helped me develop useful skills and knowledge in the field.

It was the combination of travel and professional development that made this internship so fulfilling. I was able to bond with my cohort through our amazing trips and the experiences I had interning with my company has allowed me to gain new skills across multiple fronts. Being able to work in Madrid with Absolute Internship was a life-changing experience. I gained real-life working experience, met great people, tried great food, and got to explore an amazing city oozing with culture. I would recommend this program to anyone eligible 11 our of 10 times!! And there is so much to do! Absolute Internship does an excellent job taking all of the students on several trips throughout the country and they were all a blast! This program has something for everyone, whether it be foodies, history buffs, night owls, culture enjoyers, etc.
