Excellent customer service

I would like to express my gratitude for the exceptional customer service I received during my recent visit to the Abercrombie store at the Trafford Centre in Manchester. I would like to commend your Store Manager for her outstanding assistance. Her professionalism, kindness, and patience truly stood out during my interaction with her. As I explained my query, she listened attentively and provided me with thorough and helpful guidance. Her willingness to assist and her genuine concern for ensuring my needs were met made my shopping experience both pleasant and memorable.

Really bad service overall.

Really bad service overall.

First purchase they sent me someone's else's invoice with all their details.

Second purchase they tried to charge me twice then lied about it. Luckily my bank reversed the charge.

The customer service is awful didn't even get an apology.

Big shame as the clothes are really good but I avoid buying from them.

Fraudulent company

Returned jeans as didn’t fit. I noticed two separate deductions from my bank. Having spoken to their customer service they’ve denied all knowledge but I have bank statements to prove otherwise. I am treating this as fraud and I will not be buying from there again.

First time ordering from this brand online. Bought 4 men’s shirts and the quality was good. Not sure if it’s comfortable since it’s a gift but the material is cool and true to size since i manually measured each and one of them. Too bad the women’s section didn’t catch my attention, if not i would’ve bought something for myself too. Either way, no issues with their online platform. Happy customer ❤️

Big improvements

I love their stuff, big improvement over the past few years. They're getting better at improving stock which is helpful - hope they keep it up

Focused Customer Service

Poor returns service

I ordered a dress which when it arrived was far too short so I returned it. They charged me to return the item which is fine and they received the item on 13th December. I have heard nothing despite their website staying refunds are 3-5 working days. I contacted them and they said it’s 8 working days and to contact them on 25th December if I don’t hear anything -really?? At the same time as returning this dress I returned one similar to Hollister - they refunded the day after they received the return - how can Hollister be so efficient whilst Abercrombie are so inefficient?? Do they read their reviews because they are dreadful, particularly regarding returns and they do nothing about it.

Great quality kids clothing

Have placed quite a few orders now with A&F, delivery has always been pretty swift. Clothes wash really well and the prices during the sales are really good. My only qualms would be the fit is quite small, so my 8 year old in currently wearing a 10-11.

Great quality clothes but shipping was slow

I’ve been purchasing Abercrombie clothes in store (in America and in the U.K. when they opened up their store here) for over 15+ years and always love the quality, comfort, style and durability of them. This was my first time ordering online and the shipping was pretty slow and took almost a week to receive them. Apart from that great clothes as usual.

Perfect Customer Service

Absolutely perfect customer service! I couldn’t have asked for better! Unfortunately, I had issues with a pair of jeans twice, yet both times the customer service team have been second to none and have resolved the issue immediately both times in a quick and easy manner.

Expensive returns and No returns label

For what you pay for the items, I can’t understand why a return costs £5 and they do not provide a returns label or a QR code for the post office. I do not own a printer so it makes it very difficult to find an opportunity to return the items. Plus refunds are super slow!

Never had such a slow refund

Never had such a slow refund! Had to chase them twice and waited 6 weeks so far. It also costs £5 and then they have the cheek to say they’re doing me a favour by processing the refund… hopefully I get the money back in 3-5 days.

Poor delivery services using UPS whilst…

Poor delivery services using UPS whilst Royal Mail could deliver for cheaper and guarantees compensation for failure to deliver. Please do not trust their delivery services per se. Royal Mail is a UK household and a trusted brand and why they’ve used UPS only God knows. I have asked them to cancel my membership as they could could not deliver a good service.

Refunds take too long

Fair enough that some companies charge for returns (as frustrating as it is), but when you’re taking around 3 weeks to actually refund the money this is really off-putting.

Always great quality and super reliable sizing.

I love A&F. They're reliable and consistent. The clothes are a bit pricy but they're always guaranteed to be great quality. They have so many staple/classic wardrobe pieces.

They're also one of the few brands that has consistent sizing. When I order something I know it will fit. They also offer short and long lengths in trousers, skirts and dresses which isn't done in most other places. It's a shame that they charge for refunds but honestly, I don't mind as everything else is great and I never have to return due to size issues, usually only due to personal preference.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL NOT BE REFUNDED IF YOU RETURN AND YOU WILL BE LIED TO! I opened a return on 31/11, order 70012864124 for a very large order of around £1,800! I returned nearly all the items a few days later as didn’t like much of it. I returned in 3 parcels TRACKING NO: #VZ962294216GB #VZ962945124GB #VZ963370165GB. All returns were delivered on the 7th,8th,9th of December. I have literally heard nothing back saying they’ve received them. I went on live chat and the advisor lied to me for OVER AN HOUR! Saying that it was already refunded?! I asked for proof of this and she made up some lie as to why she could not show me proof of refund. I told her to then send me an automated email of the refund. She pretended to send one and I didn’t receive anything?! I called up, they then said I have to wait for their payments team to contact me. Another 2-3 days, because it is a large return?! What does that matter? It’s my rights to be able to return whatever I want in brand new, labelled condition. I might lose £1,800 because they won’t respond to my emails, or on any social media. I am absolutely disgusted with this service. I have been a loyal customer for MANY years, I have spent THOUSANDS OF POUNDS with abercrombie, both online and in store. I always recommend their clothes to friends and family. I have been messed around for days now. Being told various information from various advisors. Safe to say I will NEVER shop from this brand again. They should take a leaf out of Monica Vinaders book and see how excellent their reviews are. There’s a reason for that - they put their customers first! Disgusted. My Christmas has been ruined from this stress.

Absolutely shocking customer service

Absolutely shocking customer service. They set policies and refuse to give you a refund.

There website does not have proper sizing details.

I went to ask for a refund and they refused. The manager also refused.

Then she called customer service and had me wait a very long time, about an hour from beginning to end.

And still refused a refund even though their online information was not there. They said it was now an exchange as I had bought something else when I ask for a refund last visit.

Treated me so badly in the store. I had no phone reception so couldn't call anyone to let them know I was over an hour detained.

I am so profoundly shocked. THe store told me I had to then call customer service. I had to do it when I got home and waited 15 mins then another 5 minutes then sent to voicemail.

Do yourself a favour, their clothes are overpriced, and not great quality, don't buy from them. They have not learnt their lesson in how to treat people that are not their ideal customer. 20-30 year olds, white, etc.

SHOCKING CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

I bought online, but the sizing for petite, regular and tall was not available. I chatted online, they promised to email me the sizing - they never did. I went ahead with my order, and picked it up in store (took 3 full working days to arrive) and of course it didn't fit. The assistant showed me another coat. So I decided to buy that. At the till she went ahead with the refund and new purchase via paypal.
Then I realise when I get home the coat doesn't suit me. I took it back to the store.
They said it was an exchange and refused to refund me. I explained the online order was a refund due to insufficient info online. And I didn't ask for an exchange.
THEY FORCED ME TO WAIT IN SHOP for over an HOUR! while the manager talked to head office.

THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND.
BETWARE OF THIS COMPANY
They did not warn me at the till that they were not doing a refund for my online order, or that I would not be able to take the new purchase back to get a refund.

I am shocked at how uphauling they treated me.
