They don't care if a valid customer with valid credit card claims their card was charged without authorization.
We shipped item to the billing address, it was signed for. Wepay does not care.
Frauds
Wepay, definitely doesn't pay. I created this account to give my clients and easier way to pay for their services. After the first payment, they asked me to verify my business. Seriously, all this information was provided to open the account. Wepay, pays themselves and hassles you. Don't use them it's a headache.
Bad Business Practices
WePay is a company that does not appear to keep their account profiles up to date. Each time I submit a credit card charge, they manage to get the money and then state that they have no clue who I am. I have been doing business with them for years. My account information, bank routing and account numbers have not changed. Large amounts & small amounts do not get paid until I reestablish my company credentials. I'm done with them I warn anybody to stay far away.
I placed a donation through Wepay on…
I placed a donation through Wepay on 2/1/2021. I noticed on my visa the donation was charged to my credit card twice. The donation included the service charges so WePay doubled their income.
Visa said I should call Wepay, Wepay said I had to go to the charity for them to reverse it. It was WePay's error and they should have been able to resolve it.
I now intend to go direct to the charity and not go through Wepay and deny the charges through VIsa.
We have used WePay through Builder Trend- DONT DO IT
We have used WePay through Builder Trend. When it works it is great. However, if you have an issue GOOD LUCK! They have no way to call them. You request help through there only way to get help and they do not respond. When you rely on customers payments to run your business (and who doesn't) you do not want to rely on a company who can't respond and help. STAY AWAY!
Avoid your company will be put at risk
Wepay take payments then dont payout to you. Refund your customers for no reason, ignore emails despite the seriousness of the issues and couldnt care less about the risk they put each company at. Do not use this platform it could end up closing your company.
WePay derails MealTrain
WePay handles the funds for MealTrain accounts. Of course, when I say "handle", I mean steal - at least in my experience. I have spent HOURS trying to track down $27 that was donated to my wife and me when we had our child almost 5 years ago. WePay has only made this process more difficult and we have yet to receive the money. TERRIBLE service. Just terrible. Avoid this company like the plague. You have my sympathy if you have no other choice - as was the case with us.

If I could give negative stars I would. DO NOT USE THEM - GO WITH any number of their more streamlined, transparent competitors like Stripe. Wepay/Chase has a system that is intended to and does delay payment of funds ("settlement") as long as possible. They fail to disclose this before they sign you up for their service and then - after the fact - tell you that they now have to "verify" your business to make sure it is real. I have had my business for more than a decade - a LAW FIRM that is all over the news, the web, and easily verifiable (in addition to having provided wepay with ample verification by way of documents they could easily "verify" that we are a legitimate business if that was really a concern.

I had a hard time getting the confirmation on the deposit amount on the verifying process to be confirmed. I was very concerned as I donated a large amount for my friends young daughter for her medical bills. Chad was very responsive in a timely manner, very friendly, helpful and polite. I also work with the public on a daily basis and truly appreciated not only his help but just an actual polite nice human being which are apparently hard to come by anymore. Chad I truly appreciated your help THANK YOU for being you & keep rock'n it out. To whom it concerns he completely deserves a raise!!

I'm a small buisness and they now holding almost 17000 dollars of mine and holding it for ransom of my banking info which has all my customers direct deposit info which I can't be giving out. My limit being 10k a month and this month only gave me 3k and holding all of my customers deposits etc not allowing me more than 3k in a month as a small business. Im horrified of telling my customers a 3rd party stole there money. Extortion is against the law and yet that is exactly what you are doing to me. My kids will not eat next week because you think a 3500 deposit is enough for all of July and your keeping all other payments to give to me at a later date. So wrong.

The biggest issue I have is that they do not have a customer service line/phone number. Everything has got to go through e-mail support which takes at least 24 hours for a response. I've had clients complain and it causes delays for us. It's especially when there are clients that are not tech saavy
