A den of thieves
Vision Tech Shop, a Korean-owned company, is crooked and dishonest, refusing to honor the warranty for their product. Back in 2024, I ordered a PW-200 digital kitchen scale from them. From the very beginning, the Tare and Zero buttons never worked right, so the scale was basically a piece of junk, even though it cost $160. Then eventually the plastic coverings over the Tare and On/Off buttons completely wore away too, making the buttons almost impossible to press. So, I contacted the company a few weeks ago about these issues. Even though on both their own Web site and Amazon they mention a "two-year warranty," Dean (the guy who answers the phone) lied and said that the scale really only has a "one-year warranty." 🤥
But then he said that they would honor the warranty anyway, and asked me to ship the scale to them. I asked what would happen if they determined the damage wasn't covered by warranty. Dean said they would ship the product back to me at no charge. Anyway, it cost me about $20 to ship the package.
Well, after the scale arrived, Dean told me that their warranty does *not* cover the problems. When I asked him why not, he claimed that I had damaged the scale by pressing the buttons with "excessive force," which is a big joke! I've owned many digital kitchen scales in the past—including a Tanita scale that I used regularly for over 11 years—and have never had this problem with any of them!! Also, the problems with the Tare and Zero buttons were occurring when the scale was brand new, so what they claim is all just a big lie. 🤮
Basically, these crooks simply don't want to honor their warranty. And guess what? Dean then said that they wouldn't ship the product back to me unless I paid for return shipping!! 😲
So, he lied about paying for the shipping too and is just stealing my scale. Outrageous!! These people are nothing but thieves!! So, please stay as far away as you can from this evil, despicable company. 👿
