Shame I can’t give 0 stars because I would!
After 2,5 years from closing my virgin mobile Account I received an e-mail from collecting agency that apparently I owe over £100 to VM! Furious but thinking someone want to scam me I call Virgin and what? I was on the phone for 1h 22 min, transferred multiple times and been put on hold for nearly an hour. They told be everything is settled and there is no outstanding balance on my account yet looks like there was another bill coming through that I wasn’t even aware of!
The worst customer service and company ever! Nothing but problems ans issues.
Agents lying on the phone and then their mistakes cost you money! An absolute joke!

I don’t know how to describe virgin mobile as words are not enough, been with them for over 15 years and first time I lost my phone been paying insurance for many years with out a claim first time I claim is been 7 days still no phone and still no update, calling them every day only to tell me yesterday that my claim is incomplete due to not all information supplied, reason: I put on claim Samsung s22 but I should have put Samsung s22 5g 256g black lmao who are they kidding, you telling me you don’t know what phone I got with you?
I said to one of the assistant yesterday sound then I will claim for a Samsung flip phone she said no you got Samsung s22 5g 256g black insured with us you can’t claim for Samsung flip phone, really virgin mobile really?
I feel a 1 star rating is being nice
I feel a 1 star rating is being nice. After almost 10 years, I have been rewarded for my loyalty to them by being treat like dirt. They have messed with my payments and added more charge to me, they don’t communicate with me, they have refused to sort out my online accounts as requested, change my payment date as requested, they are putting me through hell over my bills right now to the point of mental exhaustion and stressed out to the max. Go with any other provider anyone else is better than virgin.

Phone ordered on Tuesday, delivery date Thursday 27th July. Really difficult to arrange delivery for me as no one home but we sorted that out. No phone turns up, no message or email from Virgin??
My order has been parked, they’ll definitely be in touch on Friday to sort it out. No call Friday..that’s ok because Saturday is a workday for them…apparently!

Tried contacting them Monday 31st - for the 5th time and still just saying it’s parked & they can’t do anything about it, someone will be in touch……………..sometime
Terrible customer service
I'd give it 0 if I could. I thought I had can celled my account back in march but they were still taking the direct debit. I swapped over to 02 because of the terrible service from virgin. I then started to use a new 02 number and thought I would cancel the direct debit for the virgin mobile account as I was no longer using it. I have tried countless times to sort this out but it's impossible. The original sim no longer works and I don't have a new sim. It's now coming up on my credit score that I owe £7. The only way they will respond is to the old number but the sim doesn't work so I can't cancel the account yet again. So frustrated !!

So I have been caught up in an Identity Theft Scam.
Involving Virgin Mobile.
After fruitless calls to "Customer Services" I had a letter from Virgin when my so called "Account" was showing Arrears.
Quick phone call to the supplied telephone number and spoke to someone who English was his first Language.
Explained clearly what had happened and ordered a return kit for the goods, which total approx 2K RRP in value.
The goods were returned by Royal Mail special delivery, tracked until destination was reached.
Imagine my surprise when the goods were returned to Myself by DPD the next day.
Virgin Mobile is Scamming Myself.
Virgin Mobiles is a Clown World Outfit.
Not fit to run a Pi55 up in a Pub.
All evidence as in all Mail and emails are saved.
Looking forward to the Court Case.

Been trying to get a simple SIM only…
Been trying to get a simple SIM only plan for 3 days!£6.99 not asking the earth everytime you get to a credit check, goodness knows why for £6 rolling they could just cut you off if you don`t pay, Ooops something went wrong. Your telling me. 40 mins on phone to customer services to purchase that way bless the operator really nice but couldn`t speak English that well. Still couldn`t fix it. Crossing fingers that they look after my Bank details responsibly after trying 3 times. AVOID!!!
My husbands contract phone stopped…
My husbands contract phone stopped working 3 weeks ago, it is still under warranty. Since then he has phoned Virgin, who then put him through to O2, who then cut him or put him back to Virgin on numerous occasions, neither company want to know or help. He has to either get it repaired at a cost to himself or use another phone and still pay Virgin for the useless phone for another 18 months until the contract ends. How can a company get away with treating people like this, we have been customer for 20 years plus. Don't think about changing to this company, just read the reviews posted on here.
Awful Provider
Awful company, just swapped over to Smarty 48 hours ago from this shower & the difference is incredible!! Virgin = Signal awful, never saw 5g, most of the time 3G was all I had. Calls constantly dropping out. Caller id’s not displayed half the time on incoming calls. Smarty = None of the aforementioned. Now just got to get rid of their equally awful broadband!!
No good will or flexibility
I help run a charity under the RETHINK mental illness umbrella supporting men with Borderline Personality Disorder.
We are a self funded lived experience group and managed to raise £500 for each of our group members to assist them in poverty. Because we are a lived experience group means we all have the same diagnosis. I needed a better phone so I could support people who are often feeling suicidal. I asked about a discount as I needed a better mobile to keep in touch when out and about. EE were kind enough to write off the year long contract I had with them. I am also in hardship and explained my situation and what I do, it took 2 hours online only to be offered a £1.00 discount. Then I recipient e phone calls the same day offering me this amazing £1.00 discount. I have 3 accounts with virgin mobile and will be moving them all. I am also on the vulnerable person register and the calls I kept getting were nearly classed as harassment.

Phone transferred from virgin to O2. Now my signal at home is rubbish. Once my contract is up I will be moving elsewhere.

It took me two hours to get in here, most of the time I had a throttled 20kb download rate on their new O2 4G system

Was a happy Virgin Mobile customer for 3 years
I lasted 2 weeks with O2 running things and I have a new sim from a different provider coming early next week... which is also less than half the price

Terrible coverage poor customer service
Virgin coverage wasn’t great in the KT6 Surrey area but just about manageable. Since they merged with 02 it’s been so much worse. I barely get a 4or 3G coverage, it keeps saying no service. I challenged this and they said they are working on a mast which appears to be a never ending excuse. I have a sim only deal that costs nearly £20 a month. I am not getting what I signed up for. Customer service is diabolical! So much so I just haven’t bothered to contact them as it’s not worth the stress and frustration it causes. As soon as my contract ends I will be looking for a better provider if one exists that is. Even so O2 are terrible and if you can avoid them at all costs.

Virgin has amalgamated with o2. I have been with Virgin mobile for years on a pay monthly sim only contract no problems. As soon as O2 got involved it all went wrong. Numerous phone calls to customer service, hours on the phone to sarcastic I'll informed "customer service" finally sorted and all finished this week after 1 year. Good luck to anyone using O2. Absolutely useless.
Disgraceful treatment of a women with dementia
I will try to keep this brief, it took me and my 90 year old dad, 3 months of trying for hours on end on the phone, ( each time losing the will to live and giving up) and online chats to cancel a sim only contract for my mum who has dementia and not literally touched the phone in a year and a half in desperation my dad cancelled the direct debit as had no alternative, then was sent emails owing money. They made him put my mum on the phone who didn’t know what was going on and asked her untold questions including answering a memorable word ( she didn’t have a clue) and then to spell something phonetically!! Absolutely heartless disgraceful then said they had to put him through to o2 and he had to go through the whole saga again!! Including the memorable word and lots of questions I am so angry they put my mum and dad through this stress At last I think it’s cancelled 🤞🤞I won’t hold my breath. He still owes them money though they are emailing a bill!!! 😡😡 shame on you virgin media

Non existent reception, moved away after a week.
I moved from 3 and found virgin unusable in the country between towns. I use the mobile for navigation and media streaming in the car. This was completely unusable. I also didn’t get the option for Wi-Fi calling which would have mitigated this somewhat - that was available on a second 3 PAYG sim in the same handset but the option with Virgin never came up. There’s no chat option either - the only option was to call or use the app which needed a signal and wouldn’t work over Wi-Fi. Really poor.

I was a victim of identity fraud in March 2023. Despite numerous emails and phone calls where Virgin Media Mobile Finance have acknowledged the fraudulent activity, they refuse to close the account and issue a correction to my credit score until the outstanding debt is paid.
As the victim of identity fraud, I am not responsible for this debt, therefore Virgin Media Mobile Finance should have closed the account, issued a correction to Equifax and started an internal investigation.
I have not had this problem with any of the other credit agencies in which fraudulent accounts were established in my name.
I am now more than 3 months down the line, multiple emails and endless phone calls with unhelpful and unknowledgeable staff for a fraudulent account that I didn't open still negatively impacting on my credit score. It is incredibly difficult to get through to the right department. There is no email address to submit complaints to unless I register for a Virgin Media account, which I don't want to do, as I am not a Virgin customer, I never have been, and I never will be - particularly following this experience.

Wish ZERO stars was available ... The most terrible mobile and broadband provider of my life. (I thought!) I had cancelled my broadband and mobile contract (after hours wasted on the phone waiting to speak to a human) and I thought I had signed again but just for a brand new mobile deal ... yet a month later I got billed on both the old broadband and mobile contract again, which I thought I had cancelled. More hours on the phone now to try and cancel again. More crappy music to endure for a very long waiting time on hold. Appalling, absolutely terrible customer. Oh not to mention trying and logging in the website if you forget your password and try to reset it: good luck with that, nothing works! Do not sign up with Virgin for your own sake; they are scandalously poor all the way.
