Much the same as alot of the other…

Much the same as alot of the other comments here, Sl5000 chair broken frame, contacted support sorted the RMA out in Nov 20 and since then I have web chatted, emailed and just keep getting excuses. A complete waste of time. I would certainly not recommend dealing with this company. I would of got a better service and product off Wish!

Bad Product Quality

Bad Product Quality. Owned my chair for 3 years and had to replace/repair the following.
- seat foam missing, exposed metal (replace seat)
- seat seams separated (used tape/glue)
- shock keeps lowering (replaced shock)
- tilt creakes (lubing regular kinda fixes it)
- wouldn't rotate (lubed friction bearing)
- creaks when getting in/out or if you lean in any direction (no fix)

With the exception of the seat the rest happened just out of warranty. For a +$600 chair I would expect it to last more than 3 years.

Buyer Beware

I purchased a Vertagear Triiger 275 which has a 10yr warranty. I mention the warranty length because you will find its more for looks then actual testament to quality and support. The chair broke in September of 2020 so I submitted a claim to Vertagear customer service that same month. After going through their verification process including sending images they determined it was a defective part covered by their warranty and issued me an RMA for replacement part. Getting straight to the point it is now Feb1st 2021 and I have yet to receive the replacement part. It has been beyond frustrating communicating with Vertagear, they are rudely non-responsive.

On September 21st 2020 they sent me a communication saying the part is back ordered and would take 4-6 weeks to be fulfilled, I sent requests for updates in Oct and again in Nov with no response. On Jan 13th 2021 (4months later) I initiated a chat via their website to find out where we are in the process. The service rep. looked up my RMA, he then checked with the warehouse and told me that after speaking to the warehouse the part would be shipped that following Monday, (January 18th) and that he would send me a confirmation email with tracking info; that never happened...

On Jan 28th, 2 weeks after that chat I received an email from Vertagear customer service informing me that suddenly the part is backordered again and I'm looking at another 1-3weeks. I replied to the email respectfully expressing my frustration and requested that a manager get in touch with me only to get a response the next day from the same individual reiterating the same thing and not in any way addressing my response or concern, it felt as though they copy/pasted the same response from the previous email.

I have every email communication including the chat transcripts between myself and Vertagear.

If you are researching chairs in this category then you are looking for a nice chair that will last as you know these chairs aren't cheap. Unfortunately the old adage "You get what you pay for" doesn't apply to Vertagear. Not in craftsmanship and definitely not in customer service. If you're lucky enough to not have any issues with your chair I believe that you will not be lucky enough to escape the terrible service this company gives if you do... And with what you pay would you be willing to take that risk - don't do it.

AVOID!!!

AVOID!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND SANITY. This is such a shame, I really like the comfort and support from the chair i brought from Vertagear but sadly the arm rest broke back in March. I contacted the customer support and was told at the time a replacement would be sent out.

Now over 7 months later I’m still waiting for a replacement and they have even stopped replying to my emails. Although the only replys i ever got seemed to be an automated response of:

"We do apologize for the delay, unfortunately, the item has not shipped as we are currently out of stock and awaiting a new shipment. Once we receive the shipment, we will work on getting your order processed and shipped out. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience."

Their customer service is pathetic

Terrible experience with their support

Terrible experience with their support. They said they will send me a replacement of an item which is under a warranty - after 6 months i still haven't got it. Hundreds of mails trying to resolve the issue, they were saying that they are waiting for re-stock etc... i can understand lots of situations, but not when it lasts for over 6 months... they stopped responding me for now. Definitely a no-go if you are looking for a gaming chair. When you are paying so much money for a chair, you expect something more. Thanks.

Best in the game

Very understanding people behind the brand, if respect is given, respect is given back. They uphold their brand in a strong manner. And i would recommend highly. Great quality chair, very comfortable, very durable and ofcourse good aftercare.

Nice computer chair until it broke

Nice computer chair until it broke. After sales is dreadful and as for the warranty its worthless been waiting in excess of six months now to get a replacement part. They have now stopped replying to my emails. Don't waste your hard earned money on this company.

Worst company ever dealt with

TLDR; Never buy from this company if you expect any contact after the 'buy' button.

The absolute worst company I have ever dealt with, the EU store has absolutely no way to contact them. Do not trust any of the methods they offer, they do not work. The only way to contact vertagear EU is to contact the American store on Facebook and wait days for a response. When the US store cannot be bothered dealing with you anymore as they are fed up trying to deal with the EU stores problems they ignore you. I am now stuck with £400 chair I did not want and cannot do ANYTHING about it.

If I could give this company ZERO…

If I could give this company ZERO stars, I would. THIS COMPANY IS GARBAGE!!!! Pure and utter garbage. The very expensive chair we bought broke in the matter of months. and we kept it because we wanted replacement parts. No one answered emails or phone numbers or anything and finally we got ahold of someone. They sent us replacement parts with zero instructions on how to install any of it. I cannot get the old chair apart, probably because it's a piece of garbage like the rest of this company. Not surprised. WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN. EVER.

Bought the PL6000 about a year and a…

Bought the PL6000 about a year and a half ago. At first the chair is very comfortable with a nice tilting mechanism. But right about now the seat fabric is tearing and the cushion is coming out of the cracks and tears. The tilting mechanism also became wobbly even after tightening all the screws again.

I'm about 1m83 (6 foot) and 80kg (175 pounds) so the chair should easily be able to accommodate me without failing so quickly.

Conclusion:
The price does not justify the quality.

Customer Service NON-EXISTENT

I'm trying to get a hold of them for over 3 weeks after ordering auto-locking casters for my pl4500. (they sent the non-locking wich are on the chair already)
2 tickets and a social media attempts, and their reaction: . . . . . "crickets chirping" . . . .
So basically as you can read from others here. There's no customer service whatsoever.

Worst Customer Service I've ever dealt with

Do not buy this chair. I ordered the size/model that was recommended as a gift for my husband. The chair broke after a year and a half - which is ridiculous for the price it was. Between the two of us, we have been trying to get a hold of customer service for 3 months. My husband got a hold of them ONCE a few months ago. The request clearly stated we needed a new tilt mechanism for the PL6000 model... they instead sent a seat cushion for the PL4500. I can't even get a hold of them on how to return this stupid thing, let alone get the correct part. It's under my 2 year warranty (which is almost up, so they're probably killing time). At this point, I'd even pay for it, but I can't even get a hold of them. Multiple emails, 2 different ticket numbers, and several phone calls. Nothing. I think this company is run out of a garage...at least the customer service is..

I'm not usually so uptight about customer service, I usually get it.. but this is so weird, it has to be a scam.

Do not waste your hard-earned money on this.

Decent chair untill it breaks.
Their customer service sucks big time.
My chair has been defective for well over 6 months, and I've not recieved updates from support on email nor facebook chat, even though I've reached out multiple times. The replacement parts I need aren't in stock, and they werent 6+ months ago, so they've just completely given up on me, and have started ignoring me despite providing photographic evidence of my issues.
AVOID AT ALL COST, go with a competitor instead, and look well into the market before making any purchase.

Dishonest company.

Not sure where to start with VertaGear. Very hard to recommend them to my friends or family.

Non-existent customer service, you literally have to chase them down and harass them publicly on Facebook and Twitter to get a response from them, which they will then delete all your messages to keep their clean look.

Also the RGb Kit for the PL4500 is a sham...doesnt sync to games like promised so its a pretty worthless pile of lights. My Christmas tree lights in front of my house has more functionality.

Avoid these frauds.

Great chair, until it broke. I've used this chair for almost 2 years (still under warranty) and it was great. Comfortable during long sessions, etc, however the worst happened and the chair's lean function decided to stop working, so now the seat only locks into place at a certain angle, which has you leaning back way too far.
I've contacted Vertagear multiple times explaining my issue, however the communication has been dire. The first reply to my RMA request they asked what the issue was despite the fact I had filled out every question on the RMA form. I repeated the process, of course. No reply.

I then chased them up on Facebook for a reply to my email, which they did instantly. They said that a replacement will be shipped very soon and that I should expect a email with tracking details, etc. 10 days passed, no email.
I chased them up again on Facebook but this time they had no recollection of the emails and asked me to explain my issues once again, which I did. No reply.

It's the same boring cycle of repeating my issues to a different person every couple of days with no progress being made. It has now been a month since I filled in the RMA form and I'm still no closer to getting a replacement, or playing on my PC.

Do Not Buy!

Purchased a PL6000. Frame bent while under warranty. Warranty replacement part was approved, but the part is out of stock. It has been almost two months now. They have chairs ready to ship same day, but refuse to replace chair. Customer Service does not answer the phone. I have been emailing them for two weeks with no response. I am about to take them to small claims court over it. Don't make the same mistake I did.

**UPDATE** - it has now been 70 days since the warranty repair was approved, still nothing, no response from customer service for over 72 hours, contacting my attorney

Rip Off and virtually no customer service from this lying company.

Overpriced. You can get a better chair for less.

Their entry line chair is $320 (SL2000) other companies top chair is the exact same price but with more features and build quality.

Just poor service overall, not sure where to start. They are just bad. I would not recommend there chairs to anyone.

Also I believe the company lies about their reviews. I’ve rated their chairs and seen my reviews removed. All the good reviews are from websites they can edit reviews like their own website and amazon.

If you dig into the internet you’ll find VertaGear has a bad track record.

Been waiting a week for any type of communication on an RMA. Seems to me they have no problem selling these, but when it comes to warranty they are failing.
My chair literally snapped and caused me injury.

Sent me a Broken Defective Chair

Sent me a Broken Defective Chair, Refused to replace it , take a return, or anything of the sort. I made them aware the day I got the chair, that it was defective, multiple emails and calls , got me to the point of understanding, that broken or not, I cannot return it, Mind u I opened the box , and the chair was already broken / defective. I'd highly suggest you avoid this company like the plague.

Warranty customer service is awful

Chair was okay, while it lasted, about a year. Poor quality bolts broke inside the seating mechanism. Reached out to customer service, a month later, no one can provide even an estimating shipping date for a replacement part. I will never purchase from them again. I'm sure, I'm not the only one with this experience, just read their amazon reviews. $400+ chair and they do not give a ... .Found another chair with a better price tag from a different company

Update:
Received the part, finally. I replaced the broken one, the chair is working, for now.
I hope the chair will not have any problems in near future, because I'm not willing to go through this nonsense again

I'm assuming there is no communications what so ever between the shipping department and the customer service department, because there was no need to escalate the situation to a total frustration....
