Thanks to Vapor Clean for a (long overdue!) clean of our oven, hob and extractor filters before a house move. VC were able to fit us in at relatively short notice. The technician was polite and friendly, turned up on time and was tidy, efficient, and thorough with the cleaning.

I requested a full house and carpet cleaning for the property I was moving into on the same day. I was advised the cleaning would take approximately seven hours. However, there was a delay in the previous owner vacating the property; they were scheduled to leave by 10 AM, but did not depart until 12 PM. Vapor Clean informed me that they would begin cleaning from the top floor while the previous owner continued moving out, which was acceptable to both parties.
Later, at noon, I received another call from the cleaning company explaining that, due to the owner's delay, they would not be able to complete all tasks as planned, and asked me to prioritise areas for cleaning. I specified the bathroom and kitchen (limited to oven and hob).
Unfortunately, several issues arose with the cleaning. The shower area, basin, taps, and toilet seat were not properly cleaned and still showed limescale and stains. This was disappointing given their advertised commitment to thorough service. Additionally, while the website stated carpets would dry within 30 minutes, the cleaner advised it would actually take 24 hours. As we needed to move in immediately, he suggested using plastic sheeting overnight, which was inconsistent with the advertised information.
The services were supposed to include:
• Cobweb removal
• Internal window cleaning (glass, handles, frames, sills)
• Door cleaning (frames, handles, glass, treads)
• Light fittings, shades, and switches
• Radiators
• Skirting boards, architrave, dado/picture rails
• Curtain poles dusted
• Plugs, switches, fixtures
• Fitted furniture (interior/exterior)
• Mirrors & pictures
• Carpets and hard floors vacuumed
• Hard floors mopped
• All cupboards and drawers (interior/exterior, doors, shelves)
• Tiles degreased and buffed
• Worktops degreased and buffed
• Exterior appliances cleaned
• Washing machine soap drawer cleaned
• Fridge/freezer interior & exterior cleaned
• Sink/taps and fixings de-scaled
• Descaling of shower, bath, sink, plugs, showerheads, hoses, pipes
• Shower screen, rails, handles, seals descaled
• Tiles descaled and buffed dry
• Taps, soap trays de-scaled and buffed dry
• Toilet pan descaled and disinfected (including pan, seat, fixtures)
• Mirrors, shelving, cabinets cleaned
• Extractor fan vacuumed
For these services, I paid £84 for oven cleaning and £110 for full carpet cleaning, both as additional charges.
Based on my experience, only about 20–30% of the work was completed over four to five hours, despite having paid in full.

We do want to clarify that when our team arrived, the property was still fully occupied, with belongings in all rooms. This significantly impacted our ability to begin the full clean as planned. Despite this, we started on the top floor with agreement from both parties and later sent an additional technician to help maximise what could be achieved once full access was granted — which wasn’t until after midday.
Given the reduced timeframe and limited access, we contacted you to prioritise key areas, and our team worked hard to complete those to the best possible standard under the circumstances. We’re sorry to hear that some areas didn’t meet your expectations, and we’ll be reviewing this internally.
Regarding carpet drying times, we always aim to provide realistic guidance based on the property’s ventilation and weather conditions. While our website states carpets can dry within 30 minutes under ideal conditions, we advised a longer drying time in your case to ensure transparency.
We appreciate your comments and will use them to improve how we communicate in time-sensitive situations like this. If you’d like to discuss this further, we’re happy to speak directly.

The oven still felt greasy and when I put the oven on the kitchen filled with smoke and I had to open the windows and put the extractor fan on. A very disappointing experience for the amount it cost.

My experience was absolutely horrible, we struggled to pay as we were moving and wanted to have a professional clean, we had to move into a dirty carpet
Well my husband contacted Vapor clean, we were moving to the new house to just clean the lounge and stairs, they cleaned and left the area patchy with obvious dirt, we were advised not to go on the carpet and since we don’t live there yet on day 4 I took my vac carpet cleaner to do a spot and it was really clean so we contacted them on day 5, the manager according to the persons that spoke with me said the carpet was really dirty,(if my carpet was clean I wouldn’t pay you to clean it) they only responded with I need to pay another £60 note that the previous cost was £89, sent mails and now they confirmed they won’t be coming back to do the job I payed for. During one of the call a technician that came to measure my tv area spoke to the customer service that this carpet is not clean at all that they need to send someone over but still Vapor clean wants me to pay again which I feel is cheating, I will advise not to even bother yourself. Get another company to do you cleaning I would have uploaded pictures if this platform allows

Our technician completed the work and the individual present at the time confirmed they were pleased with the results, even observing the dirty water being extracted from the carpets. A few days later, you hired a Vax machine and some further dirty water was released, which understandably raised your concerns. However, when carpets are heavily soiled, it is common for embedded dirt to continue releasing over time, even after a professional clean. This does not reflect a lack of care or skill, but rather the depth of soiling within the fibres.
We do offer a free‑of‑charge revisit if we are notified within 72 hours of the clean. As this was not the case here, we instead offered a revisit at a reduced cost as a goodwill gesture.
We take all feedback seriously and will continue to review our processes to ensure customers receive clear communication and the best possible service.
