Never bank here
Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience with U.S. Bank. After opening a business checking account and depositing $5,000, the bank abruptly restricted and closed the account without providing a clear explanation. My funds were then held while I waited for a cashier’s check, creating unnecessary disruption and stress for my business.
Despite repeatedly requesting a written explanation, supporting documentation, and a clear timeline for the return of my money, I received no meaningful answers. I was simply told that the reviewing department would not disclose the reason for its decision.
Because of the bank’s lack of transparency and its handling of my funds, I have filed a formal complaint with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
Businesses depend on their banks for stability, communication, and timely access to their own funds. Based on my experience, U.S. Bank failed in all three areas. I would not recommend U.S. Bank to any small-business owner who values transparency, dependable service, and professional treatment.
Cancelled my rewards points
I have had US for years and they were fair . There people seemed to bounce around or leave about the time you had a marginal repour with them . The reason I left was that they cancelled a portion of my reward points having accumulated about 1.5 million to that date . I tried in vain to get them to restore them back it was not to be . So I figured they did not need my processing fees going forth and cleared my accounts out .
in the middle of taking all my money out
in the middle of taking all my money and bringing it to chase where i have banked over 10 years. us bank alerts me of fraud every day my information is constantly compromised and i feel like i lose money with us bank.

great people- my interactions have always been positive.
But their automated answering service is horrible. I called back about a property tax matter that they had reached out to me on and it took six minutes to get through the robot. Just wonder how much customer time is wasted on a daily basis with this horrible system

I have never in my life hung up on a customer service representative.
I have hung up on this company TWICE. They insinuate that I am dodging the payments or dodging their calls and are extremely rude.
This is the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with and that is saying something considering I have dealt with TimePayment for four years.
Business Card Transferred to US Bank
My business card was transferred to US Bank without notice or my approval. I did not receive a new card or account information from US Bank prior to this change. After my initial shock, and getting the number for US Bank from AMEX, I called their customer support. The first person I spoke to was incredibly rude and transferred me to a supervisor. The supervisor was useless and told me that I would have to wait to receive my card in the mail to access my account that already has a balance. He then informed me that I will not be able to see any of the charges associated with that balance even when the account is set up. When I asked if there was anything at all he can do to help me or transfer me to anyone else that may be able to help he simply said no and ended the conversation.
Trying to get a double payment reversed
I accidentally paid my mortgage payment twice. I did this from my US Bank savings account to my US Bank mortgage account. First day 1 talked to 3 people. Gave up and called the next day. Regular banker to fraud dept back to regular banker and then to mortgage dept. It took over an hour and 7 different people until i got resolution.
Bad customer service. Good luck on any card disputes.
I got screwed by an airline (Volaris) of which they wouldn't refund me of course. I figured my credit card would get my back. Boy was I wrong. They make it so difficult to put in a dispute and submit your proof. 5 phone calls and a complaint to the CFPB wouldn't fix it with undeniable proof that I got screwed! Had the same issue with my mom's credit card and she has Chase. They accepted her dispute in 3 days.
Not Impressed
Not Impressed. US Bank glitched its car rental for us and ACE wouldn't give the car to my wife n daughter (stranded for 4 hrs & late).
I connected with Rental Cover and shared the cancelation info from US-Bank. Its 9.1.26 and the Rental was for 7.24.26.
Rental cover only communication is via email, of which tells you to use that thread and send more information to support your case, then they responded on another thread a month later, and told me to contact US-Bank.
1. Don't tell customers to use a thread, then switch threads.
2. Management should make sure threads are being managed, and *CLOSED OUT..
3. The Website needs a clear path to deal with CANCELATIONS OUTSIDE OF THE CLIENTS CONTROL.
My Exp.
I emailed the cancelation from USBank. They told me to get a refund through USBank.
- Then USBank told me their internal system only instructs for me to email rental cover directly for refunds(share the emailed usbank receipt/refund), as they have no direct control/cogs for US bank Travel Rewards employees.
SHAME ON US BANK who just sends Reward clients to get dicked around by a 3rd party(Rental Cover)..
&
SHAME ON RentalCover for CRIMINALLY having no
way to reconcile this issue on their website, of which obviously happens to thousands of people, and why its probably planned criminal difficulties and denials via email and shit communication.
****They Even allude to THE ISSUE within their first Claim question option that they use to kick you out of the claim section " i WAS NOT ABLE TO PICK UP MY RENTAL *(not a claim apparently) !! But no where elsewhere to reconsile the issue. Count me in on the Class Action Suit as its obvious this Insurance Agency is all about delaying or ignoring REFUNDs due to cancelations outside of their clients control..
Something tells me I'll get some attention now.... Lets see how they like it if I tell them to call each other and "figure it out".

Open a credit card account with U.S. Bank if you want to destroy your credit score.
Their system allowed me to set up automatic payments and validated the account information I entered. However, when it was time to process the payment, the charge initially appeared to go through, only to be reversed five days later. Then they blamed me, claiming that I had entered incorrect information—even though that same information had been validated by their system.
To make matters worse, they reported the account as delinquent to the credit bureaus. As a result, my credit score dropped by 69 points.
After spending over an hour on the phone with Customer Service, they refused to take responsibility and told me that I would have to dispute the delinquency separately with each credit bureau.
In my experience, this has been the worst credit card company I have ever dealt with. A system failure or validation error should not result in a customer being penalized and having their credit score damaged.
**Worst credit card experience ever.**
If I could give zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would. I am extremely disappointed with U.S. Bank because of the excessive fees. The wire transfer fees and transaction fees are very expensive, and the charges add up quickly, especially when using the account for business purposes.
Because of these ongoing fees, I decided to close my U.S. Bank account and move my banking to Bank of America, where I am not being charged these types of fees for the services I use.
I expected U.S. Bank to offer more competitive and reasonable banking fees. Unfortunately, the high cost of maintaining and using the account was enough for me to take my business elsewhere.

They charged me mailing fees for…
They charged me mailing fees for sending me paper statements-that was undisclosed. I enrolled in all paperless communication for all of their services, and they charged me $12 for a wire on top of the $75 for sending me a paper statement about the wire - I never asked for that paper statement. I am on the phone with a representative, and I tell her to send me nothing; she goes, "I can mail you..." - why? Because for any mail they send you, even when you don't want it, they charge you fees. This is way more than not being business-friendly. Don't bother with them.
Me and my wife have a home Mortgage…
Me and my wife have a home Mortgage with U S Bank great mortgage company! I thought until i found out they let her do a second mortgage without me signing any paperwork. I honestly can't see how happened and i need some answers.
I opened a new checking account - was a mistake!
I opened a new checking account, savings account, and credit card with U.S. Bank and have been trying to move funds from another bank into my new U.S. Bank account. The process has been far more difficult than it should be.
External account linking has failed repeatedly, transfers have been rejected without useful explanations, and my online access has now been disabled twice while I was attempting legitimate transfers between accounts I own. I have already gone through identity verification and support once, only to have the same problem happen again.
The most frustrating part is that I’m trying to move a substantial balance into U.S. Bank and establish a larger relationship with the bank, yet the systems in place have made a basic bank-to-bank transfer unnecessarily difficult.
I understand the need for fraud prevention, especially with large transfers, but the customer experience here has been extremely poor. A major bank should have a more reliable process for verifying legitimate activity and allowing customers to move their own money.
Very disappointing start to what I expected would be a long-term banking relationship.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, they have no clue about their own account on display.
I just was trying to setup account with them online and their web shows me some checking account that I ve never had, not Manager noo one was able to explain where did they get that account from?
So I wouldnt trust this bank.
Opened a business credit card
Opened a business credit card, they hid my balance in a "central bill" which they didn't tell me about and I didn't have access to. Despite my credit card balance being $0 on the website when I logged in, I went into collections on my secret balance. 9 phone calls, 12 representatives before I could find someone to tell me my balance. Not once did they text, call, email or snail me to tell me I was going to or in collections.
They don't value longtime customers
We paid off this card a week before the due date but because we made 2 payments they charged is 347 extra dollars, therefore charging me 2 interest charges within a 30 day time frame. I have been a customer of US bank for years and didn't have late payments. This is not how you treat customers. I told them to close the account and if they tried to fraudulently charge me for anything ever again, they won't be getting it. Customer service was no help.
Long term customer
I have been a U.S. Bank customer for nearly 20 years, and I am extremely disappointed with how a dispute dating back to the beginning of June 2026 has been handled.
I initially attempted to resolve the issue with the merchant before turning to U.S. Bank for assistance. When that was unsuccessful, I contacted U.S. Bank and went through the dispute process. The matter has continued for months without a satisfactory resolution.
What concerns me most is the lack of communication. I have contacted U.S. Bank’s corporate office by email and have also sent correspondence through regular mail. Despite these efforts, I have received no response from the corporate office.
After nearly 20 years as a customer, I expected much better communication and customer service from U.S. Bank. A customer should not have to repeatedly make contact and send correspondence simply to receive a response concerning a dispute that has been ongoing since early June.
They Rob you of your Monday for weeks…
They Rob you of your Money for weeks won’t allow you to use your money and basically hold it hostage and then telling me they are closing my account and I’ll receive my money back in 10-12 days. This is crazy and I’ll never use this bank and I will always refer to other banks. This bank sucks. Not helpful at all.
