Alex Vinas has been sorting out my tax returns ever since I decided a few years ago that it was time to do the right thing, and finally declared my existence to the IRS via their streamline filing. I had dreaded the process, especially the paperwork, but Alex made it seem effortless, and continues to do so with my annual returns. He is always available at the end of an email, good humoured, well-organised and considerate. CPA's fee is very reasonable. Totally recommended!!!

I've used Universal Tax Professionals for several years. They were once an efficient and trustable service I'd rate highly. This past year something has changed with their service. They were difficult to deal with and made multiple errors in my relatively simple filing resulting in interaction from the IRS, both not filing on time and miscalculating. Undeniably errors on their part. This is absolutely unacceptable for a service I pay to do my taxes accurately. Perhaps most appalling, when I reached out to the co-founder Josh about this to resolve the issue constructively, I received a generic reply disregarding the issue. I am now reporting them to the IRS for Preparer Misconduct.

I would summarize my interaction and account for the seemingly otherwise positive reviews with this, when there are no issues it's great, but if an issue pops up, you're going to wish you went with a different service. It's not worth it.
