Created by a woman for women, Unique Vintage celebrates the iconic, flirty fashion of the past with modern, ready-to-wear designs for today’s woman. Started in 2000, uniquevintage.com was founded by Katie Echeverry, a vintage fashion lover who would spend her weekdays working in pharmaceutical sales and her weekends on the hunt for vintage dresses to sell on the website she had started as a fun weekend hobby. Quickly recognizing that high quality vintage items were very hard to find, Katie took a chance and began adding vintage-inspired dresses to her site, seeing sales skyrocket almost immediately. This was all it took for Katie to know that her weekend hobby was much more than just that, leading her to ditch the doctor’s offices and take on UV full time. As UV’s business continued its path of exponential growth, Echeverry opened a 4,600-square-foot brick and mortar boutique in 2008. This storefront location has stood as an iconic destination on the historic vintage row of Magnolia Boulevard in downtown Burbank since. In August 2015, Unique Vintage unveiled its first major renovation since its initial opening. Despite having several opportunities to move her business out of her hometown, Echeverry has remained committed to maintaining her local roots for the company. She cares deeply about the city of Burbank and prioritizes the store’s contribution to Magnolia Park. Since those early days, Unique Vintage has continued to grow, launching its very own Unique Vintage brand label to better serve the needs of the UV girl, while continuing to carry the retro-inspired labels that helped to put UV on the map. Loyal customer… no more.

I think some of the reviews on here might have the wrong company, as they’re talking about items this company doesn’t even sell.

Anyways, I’ve been a customer for years, and half my closet is probably from this website. But honestly, that’ll be changing. They take FOREVER to ship… Im in Illinois and get orders from the UK faster than I do from California?! Also, probably the last three orders have arrived incomplete because they sold me something they didn’t actually have in stock. Pay VERY close attention to your orders because if they oversell, they won’t notify you and refund your money… they’ll simply just not ship your item and wait for you to ask for your money back. Very bad business practice.
Also the sizes are all over the place. I have probably a dozen UV brand dresses that all fit great and then I’ll buy one that is easily two sizes smaller than the advertised size. The sizing charts don’t mean anything. Bought a dress that said 34” waist and there’s no way it’s over 28”, but can’t return (it was on clearance) even though i only bought it due to false advertising. It’s just so frustrating to shop from here anymore. I’m done.

Terrible quality clothing

Terrible quality clothing. Worse than Wish. Out of 5 things I ordered, 4 were completely unwearable. One was falling apart right out of the bag. And I bought them on sale so I can’t return or get a refund. I’m decent at sewing so I’m going to try to fix them myself, but for the price point this is shockingly bad.

Don't order from here

Don't order from here, especially if you aren't in the USA as whether or not it is not as advertised, faulty, not faulty, it won't matter you will have to return it and pay for the return yourself which is not how distance selling is supposed to work by law.
They ask for numerous photos of problems and then despite not being as pictured they say that it isn't defective, but apparently I can still pay a fortune to send it across the Atlantic. Well, after reading the comments on how they charge restocking fees and the item being overpriced for what it turned out to be anyway I have decided to keep it and hope that I can do something to make it fit better myself.
Lesson learned though. I will always check out the reviews before buying.
I also notice that the shop has never written back to any of these people who have put reviews on here which to me shows a lack of caring for the customer.

Absolutely do not shop here

Completely terrible customer service. They knowingly sent me a torn dress - I know this as they have visibly attempted and failed to patch it. Despite this, they demanded that I pay to return it. So they send me something not fit for purpose and then make me pay to return.
On top of that the response times are dire. I can't even establish a dialogue with them because they take a week to reply each time and you have to return within 30 days.
On top of this part of my order just never arrived and I had to fight about that as well.

Slow returns

They have great clothing but are lacking in the return handling department. If you have to return anything, just know that it will be 14 business days at least before they get to it.

Not ordering from again

I’ve ordered from them 3x. The first time they returned my order after not shipping it for a month. Then I did two pre orders that I put for delivery. It’s been 3 weeks without anything. I messaged them only for them to say “oh you picked the pick up option! We can send it out for X money” when I was like what??? I already paid shipping and for it to be sent to my home!!! After this I’m not ordering from them again

Their promotions are appealing, but they are a scam

They do not honor promotions when THEY make a mistake and cancel the order. Their excuse is "the promotion was over the weekend," which is when I made my purchase. They canceled this same order on Monday, ignoring me over the weekend when their customer service is closed and nobody can be reached.

I made my order on Saturday morning. This is on purpose to avoid honoring the original price. It is disgusting behavior.

Even contacting customer service immediately, they refuse to aid in any way because the promotion is over. I contacted customer service the minute there was an issue, but their excuse was that they were closed over the weekend, when the promotion was ongoing. They cancelled my order Monday morning (after the promotion was already done). I would have repurchased the items right away, during the promotion, if they had been open to fix the issue on the weekend. I called the second I could and also emailed and they refuse to fix it, claiming "computer limitations."

It is appalling and disgusting and a scam to make international customers pay more out of pocket. They also correct international addresses when you input them, which is why they cancelled my order without my consent. They refuse to restore the order as it was too.

Shameful.

First time purchasing <3

First time purchasing from this cute site & it went well. I ordered a spider-web top & I love it sm! The quality was much better than expected, as well. The only issue is that the Canadian postal/courier place in which their shipments go to once they arrive nearby (oddly it isn’t through Canada post or the common ones) had insanely negative reviews (little alarming…), however my parcel came to me safely & in one piece thankfully!

Absolutely horrendous customer service

Absolutely horrendous customer service, they do not reply to continuous messages sent.
I received a expensive skirt that smelled, really bad chemical smell that come up as soon as I opened the bag, this did not disperse after hanging the skirt for a week and as this is glitters worried about washing the item to remove the smell, I asked for some advice and tops but no responses after numerous emails sent, seems like I'm stuck with it as looking at past reviews their customer service seems to have gone and nobody receives responses...avoid at all costs

What passes as customer service is…

What passes as customer service is apparently just answering the call. I was attempting to apply a coupon when my order went though - you know how sometimes the screen shifts on phones between entries or when loading. I sent two messages immediately. Card was charged.
This happened on a Saturday and so I had to wait until Monday to reach anybody and I called about an hour and a half after they opened and they said it was already being processed, which is funny because right before that I just received a message that I was going to take longer. She said she couldn’t do anything. She didn’t even offer to apply the discount, so I was charged full price even though they had a sale going on. She said she’d be happy to create a return label though for when I wanted to return it. That seems like a lot of extra work they’re creating on themselves and the customer and if I really would’ve love something that gets sent I won’t keep it anyway because I’m not gonna pay full price for it when I know that I could’ve got it discounted . One day later I get another email that says they’re still working on it and it could take longer than expected. So you’re telling me it would not have been easier, when staff had just started their day for an hour and a half, to not cancel the order and refund my money. Or do a little sell and apply the discount to keep a customer? They’re going to make somebody fulfill an order that I don’t want? It’s like one branch of the company and the other branch of the company can’t communicate or they just telling you that story to make you feel stuck.

Terrible experience with ‘customer…

Terrible experience with ‘customer service’ which was almost certainly a bot. The order never arrived and they never even emailed me to say there was a delay (which was several weeks) or when the order was then cancelled. The only reason I eventually got the money back was because I complained through the bank. Never ever order here, it is a complete scam.

My 2 year got my phone payed for almost $400.00 of merchandise.

It was early and I was getting ready for work. I also trying to get my daughter ready for daycare. I went to the unique vintage site. I had entered close to $400 worth of merchandise ,which I intended on using affirm to manage payments. Well long story short I left my phone and my two-year-old grabbed it and went ahead and paid for the purchase without affirm. There was no way to cancel it and I was frantic because there were no customer service representatives available till 9 AM. I had to start work at 9 AM. I sent a couple emails impatiently waiting for response. Finally It came to my attention that there was a timezone difference. It wasn't but a few hours later and this big blooper was fixed. I was so relieved and happy that unique vintage helped me out. These kids I'll tell ya! Lol

Great customer service!

I put in my first order with them and eagerly awaited my outfits. I mean "sitting by the window obnoxiously staring at the front stoop while sipping coffee and mentally begging for them to show up already" so I could wear them to my birthday party and a good friend's wedding respectively. I became that person who bounced outside every day to see if it was here yet, and hit refresh on my tracking number as often as possible. One day while I was working from home (thanks Covid!), I saw a notice come in saying my package had been delivered a few minutes prior. YAY! But I hadn't heard the iron gate open, nor had anyone rung the bell. Odd. I ran outside and there was nothing. Nada. I looked around and saw nothing. I asked the landlord's wife who was sorting through recycling outside if she saw anything arrive. She said no. So I waited. And waited. And waited. Then it was the end of the day and I realized something was really wrong. I reached out to Unique Vintage, and told them what was happening. Their customer service stayed in contact with me, and they said they would help me look for the packages in any way they could. They filed a claim on my behalf... yada yada yada... in the end, the package was never located. I was out the money AND had to repurchase things to wear to my birthday and the wedding, so I would be out double! Or WOULD I? Because they decided to refund me, and now they have a customer for LIFE. I have still never seen their clothing in person since that was going to be my first order. But despite that, I will happily reorder thanks to the customer service alone. (Though next time I'm going to pay for upgraded shipping that doesn't go through USPS like their free shipping eventually does. I'm too spooked by what happened to risk doing that again. From now on it's FedEx or UPS all the way from start to finish, and I'll ask for it to be signed for. I've learned my lesson. Now I'm going to use that refund to shop from them again! This time I will hopefully actually get the outfits. ;) lol!

This company is a SCAM

This company is a SCAM! I have not received a fully paid 250 EUR order after multiple complaints, and almost 2 months!
I will keep posting this everywhere on social media until I receive actual customer service. You will not get away with this!

This company is not the company you wanna deal with if you need help. I order a lot, but when I had a delivery issue talking to them, they were condescending and it left a bad taste in my mouth. No grace whatsoever, no apology no I'm sorry your fabulous dress didn't make it. No discount no appeasement. YOU SUCK.

Vintage is trying cheat customers by…

Vintage is trying cheat customers by using customers helplessness . Recently bought car child seat mirror and I received a broken seat mirror. When I contacted Vintage, they asked photos, weight of item , even outer package.
They collected buyer protected fee as well . After I sent all information except photo with outer package as I opened package and found it's broken inside , they denies to refund .

I feel Vintage taking insurance and trying to irritate customers by asking several questions , so customers stop at some point asking for refund further for damaged and wrong items .

Ended up having to get a refund which took an age. Avoid!

Placed an order on December 15th, they took my money... still no updates explaining where my order is.

I've complained about lack of communication three times and I get the same generic email back every time and then nothing. Avoid this company.

Update: After a request from my bank, they eventually returned my money… poor service and a complete waste of time.

Be careful they may cancel your order with out notifying you

This is the second time in two months I have had an order or part of an order cancelled due to being out of stock. If it shows as available when I order it, why does it go out of stock? Plus they didn’t notify me either time, I had to check with them because I wasn’t getting a shipped notification. They said they will refund so I will have to check. They said it’s due to inventory issues. If I ever order from them again it will be quite a while if they do fix their inventory issues. Shame because it was my favorite website for vintage style clothing.
