Wrong Part! Waste of Time and Money

I hired them to fix a wine cooler. Their communication and customer service was good and professionally done. The technician, Gasham, showed up and diagnosed the problem as the thermostat. Said they had to order the part from France and it would be 5 days. Came back 5 days later, installed the part and said it was working fine. An hour later when the compressor still hadn't shut off, I had to manually turn off the unit. Called the company and they scheduled a recall appointment that day which did not happen. Gasham came back the next day and ordered another thermostat. Didn't work. Ordered a third. Didn't work. At this time I told him that 1 of 3 things was happening: It was not the thermostat, the thermostat was put in wrong or it was the wrong thermostat. I asked for my money back and am still waiting for the check. In the meantime, I hired another company who looked at it and knew it was the WRONG THERMOSTAT. Don't use them for wine coolers.

Stay away

I went to try to talk to them about a repair in Pittsburgh. They claim to have two locations, so I went to each of them.
One was a Lowes Store and the other was a Staples store.

I needed a dryer repair which the…

I needed a dryer repair which the repairman described as standard for a Kenmore dryer. "I've done hundreds of these" He did the repair and ran the dryer to prove it was working so we paid him. It stopped working a few minutes after he left. He came back later that night with the right part. He said he knowing glued the wrong part in the dryer and the glue must have melted.

Repair, we guarantee the high professionalism and quality of experienced technicians who can make a thorough diagnostic and repair.

The above sentence is what corporate has posted to this website. When I escalated to management for a refund the said the only recourse is for me to return the parts.

They are not all concerned with customer satisfaction!!

Water filter Issue…

I could not remove the water filter from my refrigerator as it was stuck. I contacted this company to help me with this service. They told me there would be an $85 service charge that would be applied to the cost of the job. It took the tech less than 5 minutes to remove the filter, and it did require using a tool (I didn't watch to see what it was). He tried to charge me $200. After complaining, the price was dropped but not to $85 which was much more appropriate for the work provided. I have always been able to perform this task in the past, but I did not have the strength to manage it this time. I would not recommend this company and I will be contacting Harris County's 2025 Homeowner Referral Guidebook staff to report my complaint.

Beware of UltraFix scary

This was quite the experience
I am continuing to post everywhere as their unethical and quite frankly frightening ‘service’ to warn other single women to beware
First there was the barely concealed anger of Goshan ( who wanted paper towels, I use cloth, and didn’t like the installation hoses sent him into a fury)
To the absurd prices ( $220 for a dishwasher pump $550 for the repair)
Willingness to bargain ( ended up at $300)
To his refusal to leave until I gave him my forte installed pump
To his inability to demonstrate it was repaired

The incorrect pump installed was silaconed into place

I stopped the check ( will allow you to pay with credit card for 4%)

And because he took my old one ( pressured me and refused to leave l. I did write a police report)

I now will likely have to send my newish dishwasher to the landfill

This is a very unethical business

This is a very unethical business. I reviewed them on google and somehow they were able to take down the review unethically. They also tried to bribe me with 100.00 prior to take down my review. Everything you get done by this company cost $500.00 to $600.00. They do NOT stand behind their work. I now have to get another company to fix it. Also it takes them a week to get a part in. If you phone Don's appliances they ship the part to you the next day. Very unethical bussines. Please be aware.

Not impressed at all

They took my address down incorrectly and the repair man went to the wrong house. The repair man ordered the required parts and came back for the repair. When he came back with the parts, it took him a long time to make the repair. We found two screws on the ground after he left. I hope they were not vital for the correct operation of the dryer. The repair man destroyed my lint screen during the repair process. He said he would order me another lint screen. It 24 days to receive it after texting and phoning him and the company.

I am wary of recommending this company…

I am wary of recommending this company based on our experience. We had a dryer repair performed by a technician from this company and when leaving the property his car damaged the stairs to our condo building (pictured). When we emailed the company to report this they advised us to go ahead with the repair and the cost would be reimbursed. Several months, phone calls and emails later and the company now says it is not responsible and gave us the cellphone for the technician to ask that he directly pay this cost. The representative told me that the company is only responsible for appliance repairs but not for the workers they send or actions they perform on the property. I have never heard of a company not taking responsibility for workers sent to people's homes. Lesson learned.

Yo, I just had my refrigerator worked on by Aydin, and let me tell you, it was a great experience! This dude was dope..he figured out what was wrong super quick and really took his time to explain everything. He even set me up with a temporary fix that didn’t break the bank, so I could keep using my appliance while waiting for the final repair. What really stood out to me was how he laid out the final solution and got me a quote fast. I’ve seen some low reviews floating around, and honestly, I don’t get it. My experience was top-notch. Wishing you all the best guyss!

Poor job quality

Poor job quality. Had my compressor in my LG refrigerator replaced about a year ago. My refrigerator has stopped cooling and making ice for about 3 to 4 now. I brought in a different technician to take a look at it, only to find out that the freon has leaked all over. The technician told me that once a compressor is replaced, one other component is supposed to be changed with it. This, ultrafix didn't do. I'm totally disappointed. This cost me additional $250.

Best of the Best

Today, Rick came to fix my washing machine. He was kind, courteous, extreme neat, and most importantly honest. He came with all the parts that were needed for a successful replacement only to find out, the machine had other hidden issues. He honestly said, it would be cheaper to purchase another machine instead of paying for additional parts. What shocked me the most, after spending 3 hours working on my machine, and installing new parts he did not charge me. He said, we are unable to fix it so no charge except the service charge. How many appliance repair companies offer that? I have told so many neighbors about this experience and Ultrafix Appliance will be having many newer customers. I highly recommend this company especially Rick.
Thank you, Rick, and I did purchase a new LG tonight.

Very quick reply to fix my appliance

I called on Friday afternoon and an Applicance Technician came that same day, later in the evening. After ordering the part , he came back Monday morning to fix my dryer.
Kyle, the applicance technician, did an excellent job and was very friendly and helpful with my dryer.
