I ordered an item from Tyler Tool on May 9, 2023
I ordered an item from Tyler Tool on May 9, 2023. The item was a Black and Decker Alligator pruning saw (electric). Unfortunately, however, I received a Dewalt drill kit. The Dewalt box had my invoice with the right item (i.e. Alligator) but wrong product. I then sent Tyler Tool an email and included pictures of the product. I waited 2 to 3 days, but no email reply! So I then called the offices in GA and got a reply. I received from the caller a PDF of a tag that I need to send the drill kit back and was told that the Alligator pruner would ship. I got it 2 or 3 days later. I have yet to use the product, but plan on doing it on Memorial Day weekend. So why am I writing this review/feedback? When I saw this product online, the purchasing choices were rather limited. Obviously both Amazon and Walmart carried the product. Other companies offered them, but the item was sold without a battery. Tyler Tools offered the battery and the price was the same as Amazon and Walmart. I am not an Amazon or Walmart fan and will not order from them. I try to support smaller businesses, and I felt that I was helping Tyler Tools out. However, here are the reasons on my disappointment with Tyler Tools:
1) I did not receive a reply to my email ever.
2) the shipping of products should improve. That is, when I received the wrong product (Dewalt drill kit) and lopper (correct product), neither item was in a separate box. The items were shipped exposed to the nature of the product. The problem with that is that when it is left outside one's door, they are easy targets for theft! Also, the lack of a separate box makes the product more vulnerable to damage while in transit. Maybe it is an economic decision by Tyler Tools to keep costs down, but the risks of damaging goods while in transit do increase. So there has to be a happy median to come to.
I do want to point out that I was not upset when I received the wrong product. I know mistakes happen.
This is why I am rating my experience low.

I have read Tyler Tool's reply to my original post. Their Customer Care department did reach out to me and I have no doubt that they are sincere in their apology. As I mentioned previously, I understand totally that mistakes happen. I just mentioned things that I found could improve. I will continue to support smaller businesses over big box/Amazon/Walmart. I will still look at the specials Tyler Tool holds and the info they send via emails. Thank you. Victor

Tyler Tool did great but Makita dropped…
Tyler Tool did great but Makita dropped the ball on the 36v chain saw. It came with an Oregon chain instead of a Makita chain, and they included a 100cc container of bar and chain oil which doesn't even fill up the reservoir in the saw. The oil is lighter than typical bar and chain oil, and they don't provide specs with any meaningful info, so they want to sell the recommended Makita bar and chain oil in 100cc containers @ $8.50 per bottle. I didn't expect to take out a loan to use this saw. Actually haven't used it yet. Studying my options on b&c oil before proceeding. I only have dozens of Makita cordless tools. Very disappointing, Makita.

Item (power washer) arrived damaged
Item (power washer) arrived damaged. Box was not damaged so I have to assume it was shipped that way. Promptly returned as per instructions and item was received according to the tracking info. Did not receive any acknowledgement from the company, however, that they had received it. Called to confirm receipt and to find out when the replacement would be shipped. Was told it was being processed, that it takes 48 hours. They could not give me any assurance, however, that it would be shipped within that time frame. When I asked if I could cancel as I could get the item on Amazon at a time certain within a few days was told I could not cancel because the request was being processed, that I would have to wait until I received the replacement to request a new return
Update: Company has since allowed me to cancel
