This has been my go-to place for euros ever since the closure of ICE at Waterloo station a few years ago; the rate is consistently very good/competitive, I like getting euros in person, and the central London Strand location is very convenient. On this occasion I'm ascribing it 3 stars [rather than 5] because upon arrival I was told that my laminated USA photo driving licence would not suffice, despite having used it on previous occasions and despite the fact that the website does not specifiy a UK driving licence. I had to return the next day with my passport – most inconvenient. Given that I am a regular customer, I was more than irked.

The gentleman who served me was not particularly helpful and I had to order online to get a better rate ….. that took exactly 5 minutes that was a waste of my time .

Quick and reliable service, order online for better rates

I would give zero stars if I could do it. I buy dollars when go to my home country where I exchange them to local currency. I decided to try and use Thomas Exchange Global a few months ago and bought $1500. A currency exchange bureau in my home country did not accept one of banknotes because it had a pen written mark. So I had to take $100 banknote back to the UK and expected them to exchange it to a clean one when I come there to buy dollars before my next visit to my home country. When I came to collect ordered dollars yesterday, they said that they could not exchange the banknote with the pen written mark because nobody would buy such banknote. A good service provider would always take a responsibility for own mistake rather than make a customer to pay for it!

Placed currency order online and showed order email to staff at branch 50 minutes later. Staff said no order had been received and offered a less favourable exchange rate than the rate in the order.
The ordering online was quick and easy enough though.

Super easy and online and pick up availability was quick. Better timing and rate than HSBC.

I had a wrong exchange done, the manager Myndert(Strand, London branch) was extremely helpful and resolved it without any questions. He was extremely polite, thoughtful and professional. I also want to thank John from Head Office. He was suggesting me what to do. He took my problem on board and dealt it with calm and professionalism. Definitely recommend the service, top service!
