I’ve been a loyal customer for many years, but I was genuinely disappointed to hear the company itself acknowledge that other competitors can offer better rates. That says a lot. While I may still use their services for small transactions, I’ll never go to them again for exchanging a large amount of money — it’s simply not worth it anymore. Loyalty should be mutual.

Exchange USD dollars to GBP and did not check the rate at other places first as trusted the Thomas Exchange blindly, lost over £400 on exchange rate with them. Avoid.

Easy process was in and out in a few minutes and the rates were better than other nearby currency exchanges.

Happy with the rate given BUT.....
Not at all happy with the service given in the branch. After receiving the confirmation text I went to get my money changed. The guy hadn't turned up and I was fobbed off and had to wander around killing time with a large amount of cash in my pocket. He was over an hour late and gave no apology.

I ordered dollars and some pesos either late Friday for collection Saturday afternoon.
Remembered early Saturday thatthe he dollars needed to be in small denominations, and New uncoupled notes, so rang the branch I was collecting from. There was no reply, but my call was rerouted, to someone who quickly located my order and logged those details.
When - after nine hours running a busy farmers market, I arrived at the Hammersmith branch for collection, there was a queue of 5-6 people, several of them seeming to have complex issues with their orders.
When I got to the front of the queue and gave my name, the cashier immediately said "Yours is all ready- we got the phone call with the details this morning".
Seamless, efficient and quick service in a weekend of hectic last minute preparations- mighty thanks to all involved at Thomas Global and you will continue to be my go to travel money people.

Disappointed @ Hammersmith Thomas Exchange

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received at Hammersmith Thomas Exchange. On behalf of the company I work for, I submitted an online request to purchase US dollars, and I promptly received both an email confirmation and a text message informing me that the cash was ready to be collected.

However, when my bosses went to collect the currency and attempted to pay with the company’s bank card, they were refused service, despite presenting their valid ID cards as requested. The reason given for the refusal was that the name on the company’s bank card did not exactly match one of my boss’s IDs. This is completely unacceptable, especially considering that the initial confirmation emails and text messages did not mention this specific requirement.

Not only was this incredibly frustrating and inconvenient, as we had to buy the dollars elsewhere due to the nature of our company's business, but it also wasted valuable time for my bosses, who had followed all instructions. When I went there to resolve the issue, as I was the one who made the request on behalf of my company, I was treated with mistrust, and they couldn’t even follow up on my email or the references provided in the text message.

I expect a clearer, more transparent process going forward and would appreciate a prompt resolution to this issue.

I would advise caution when using this service, as it appears that their internal policies are unclear and not communicated properly to customers.

Got my Colombian currency a day after ordering, which I thought was pretty good. I got a good mix of notes too. Friendly and helpful service as ever.
