Had a great night at Veeno Leicester. Our server Joanna was professional and helpful. Food and wine was very good.

We went to Veeno Leicester for lunch on Saturday. The service that we received from Lene was exceptional. She was so knowledgeable and recommended us some amazing wine. The food, wine and service were amazing - I would definitely recommend Veeno.

Slight snag with my order, but once James @ Veeno contacted me and explained why the wine I had ordered wasn't available it was very quickly sorted.

So thank you James for sorting it out, great communication, snags happen, and the wine is excellent - look forward to drinking some more in one of your restaurants.

I thought I’d ordered a voucher for a wine tasting experience at Veeno Stratford upon Avon but it arrived in a cool box (cardboard) for a do it yourself wine tasting at home !!

I know the order placed was for a home tasting BUT I was trying to order a wine tasting at Veeno in Stratford upon Avon!! My point is that it was NOT clear when I ordered it!!!!

Sadly experienced very poor customer service and the food, even though very tasty, was extremely expensive (afternoon tea. Very little food, no drinks for £50??!!) and the service was non existent

I placed an order of food and drink, I was given the option to choose a date, it arrived a day late meaning me and a friend had to go out for dinner instead of enjoying our evening at home!!

Veeno Chester

On a cold winters night we called into Veeno Chester, we had the warmest of welcomes from the staff, named Aaron and Imogen, of Veeno, We were amazed of the knowledge that the two had of the wines and food offerings, we participated in the Wine/Food tasting experience, so impressed we continued with a bottle of our chosen wine and more tasty food offerings.
Great restaurant, attentive staff with great views of the Chester street scene from a seat in this Sicilian themed restaurant, most enjoyable , we will be back to this one.

My wife and I booked a "Wine and Food Tasting Experience" in the Chester Veeno with 2 friends as part of their 50th Wedding Celebration.
We were VERY disappointed because:
1. The table was far too small for four people, and soon became cluttered, as all the wines and food were delivered together.
(I appreciate that it is a small venue).
2. It was not a wine tasting "experience" at all, as all 16 wine glasses were put on the table at once, with no labelling or reference to the related items on the food platter, except for a paper leaflet giving a very brief relationship of each wine to the food items.
3. The food items on the platter and bread basket were very few.
4. When the bill arrived there was a surcharge (not advertised) as our 2 friends had asked for vegetarian food; and a service charge (again not advertised) of "10%", which in fact proved to be 12.5%).
5. The service was very slow and during our time at table the staff appeared very disinterested.

We tried the at home wine tasting experience and loved it - delicious selection of wines with generous food pairings - we were very impressed. Perfect at home date night

Wasted experience
We had chosen the wine experience and this was ours. Paper placemat with printed information about the wine and what goes well with it alongside a glass of that wine, a board with some hams and cheese to match the wine.
The small amount of ‘food’ had definitely been prepared far in advance as the ham had dried on the edges and the cheese had sweated out, the salad leaves were wilting past the point of actually wanting to eat them.

Honestly we have had better hams and cheese from Aldi the saving grace was the bread and sparkling water. Not much of an experience and a waste of a voucher, no actual interaction with the team about the wine’s their history etc. should have just read the label we would have got more information from it.

Another fabulous evening with great food, wine and ambience at the leicester Veeno! A special mention for Mukesh who is an amazing host, helpful, courteous and always goes the extra mile!

It does not even deserve a single star. Waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our afternoon tea, there was hardly anyone to serve us and the food was awful. Extremely disappointed and won’t be going back again.

My order arrived with 2 bottles of red wine leaking,as this was for a 65th birthday present it was very disappointing to have to clean everything up

Visited today with my daughter, had Italian afternoon tea with Prosecco, absolutely lovely food, place had a very nice ambience & the lady that served us was friendly, attentive & very helpful, all in all a great experience, thank you Veeno’s sure we’ll be back soon
