The Speaker Lab is one of the most complete programs I have participated in. This program offers specific training for every step of your speaking journey. Plus, they offer one to one coaching, a community where ideas are shared and supported, and many other learning opportunities. If you are serious about creating a speaking career, The Speaker Lab is a wise investment.

I’m not sure how they stay in business. It’s alot of money for a lot of nothing. They are rude when you say no.

The Speaker Lab program was hard work at times. It requires commitment to complete everything on time. However, there is support along the way. Some of the models are simplistic if you already have speaking and/or sales experience. But there is plenty even and experienced person can learn. Also, you also get 1:1 coaching time plus group coaching time, with TSL teachers who have a great deal of experience and you can ask your complex/advanced questions then. I honed my USP and talks in a way I would not have if I didn't have accountability. AND I got a Website, a sharp speaker reel, and a bunch of leads to start on. Plus, I still have access to all the PDF's and classes anytime I need a refresher. Worth the money just for the Website and Speaker reel. I'm glad I invested in my speaking business.

The Speaker Lab has been a game-changer in helping me clarify my speaking niche and turn it into a focused, marketable message. Their coaches don’t just hype you up – they give you concrete tools, scripts, and frameworks that you can actually use to reach out to event organizers and position yourself professionally. I especially appreciated the structure of the program, the accountability, and the way they walk you step-by-step through branding, outreach, and pricing. I feel far more confident in my “Lead with Soul” positioning and in building a speaking business that is sustainable, aligned, and truly serves the audiences I care about. The Speaker Lab is great for people who might be a professional but thinking, “Why am I not getting paid for this?” or for people thinking of diversifying their income. The program is well-organized and sets you up with a website, demo video, content creation, and sales engine models. It has coaching support. I like the community support within the community. Crucially, it is also not a program for the faint of heart. I have met many people who dropped off and struggled deeply with accountability. There is so much rejection and people with other responsibilities struggled with the hurdle of completing all the modules. I knew paid speaking and workshops were going to be part of the next stage of my business and I was fully committed. If I hadn't done the program, my sales acumen would still be stuck at a different maturity place. Setting up software, systems, and protocols has been extremely valuable to me. I've also invested in LinkedIn automations and other sales processes that took my business to new heights, but were not taught in the program. It took me 4 months to get my first paid gig and I've steadily grown my business since then. Excellent for the right fit but not for everyone.

After a high-pressure phone call, I reluctantly agreed to pay over $3000 for their training. She was guaranteeing that their leads were a sure thing and that I would get my money back so quickly. Their training was low level and full of childlike advice. There was not one single lead offered. Don’t be like me, don’t give them a dime.

Be VERY VERY careful with TSL. Read all of the information in detail and do not expect a lot of help as they state at the very beginning of the process. Also note some coaches are far better than others as is to be expected. Overall not pleased with TSL.

Not good. They don’t stop calling. I had To block the number. They are too pushy and after reading reviews I’m glad I did not give them any money

Run fast, run far. They out and out lie during your sales call about the results you should get, the leads you receive, and what they are there to do. The information is very basic, common sense really. The leads you get are awful. During the sales call they make you think they are focused on helping you get the gigs but the leads are just random names, emails and phone numbers that you contact. Some had no correlation to what age group I am speaking to and some are bogus. The sales call is a total sham so don't believe ANY of what they say. Invest your money elsewhere or research on your own. Lots of complaints on this company, even on the BBB. I filed a complaint with the BBB as well. I feel totally scammed and want a refund! When I filed a report with BBB, a spokes person from TSL replied and said something about the sales call being recorded. News to me, so I asked to have the recording sent to me but they would not send it. OF COURSE...Also, when you try to reach out to the supposed owner of this site, he can't be reached. Even his own website is sketchy and you are led in a circle of nowhere trying to email him. I found an email through chatGpt for him. Lets see if he responds.

The Speaker Lab gave me that training and structure. It helped me think about warm leads vs. cold leads, how to bring past contacts to something new, how to structure proposals so both sides feel good, and how to set goals that are attainable. It showed me there are actual steps I could follow, and I didn’t have to figure it all out alone...I already had experience, but I was still so impressed with the detailed training on how to present, organize a talk, and behave on stage. Just becoming a better public speaker is a valuable skill for anyone, and The Speaker Lab teaches that—plus the marketing, business, and networking side...Also, the community. It’s active, intelligent, ambitious in a positive way, and very supportive. You get out what you put in, but it’s such a positive group with staying power.

You can’t get ahead. Every time you think you are done paying they want more money. It’s so expensive. All they give you is a blank notebook and a prayer. Save your money. Do your own research. Speak from the heart

Scam. They outright lie about what you are purchasing. Send you blank workbooks. You pay for a specialized niche result and then they send you to a phone call with one of their sales reps. They ignore all emails you sent them templates or refunds.

Update: I wrote to the CEO and he kindly refunded me however I still believe that their sales tactics make it really difficult to get any real information because they upsell you every time you you purchase the next level -well, withholding the information and templates you thought you were buying . And now I have to pay another $497 to get a simple email template, after attending an hour long seminar.

For anyone who wants to make a business out of speaking, The Speaker Lab shows you how to do that—in an extraordinary way. I like the way the program steps you through everything with “snackable videos” short and interesting. I am impressed by the variety of support systems: the accountability calls, the live calls where you can listen to others in that module—those are very instructive...I feel empowered. I know what to do and how to do it. I’ve had a big speaking life for years, but have not always been paid. Now, I turn down unpaid gigs because I’ve learned, reinforced by Grant and the team, that my time, energy, and creativity are worth something.

Wouldn’t take no for an answer. Harassed and felt obligated to sign up. Don’t bother if you are on the fence just stick to your word and the word is NO

I’ve already recommended The Speaker Lab to several people. Anytime I meet someone who wants to get into speaking, I tell them about The Speaker Lab. The framework gives you structure and organization. Honestly, I haven’t even done everything I’m supposed to do, and I’m still getting lots of business. Once you put the whole system together, the floodgates open.

I recommend not signing up with this company. It's a scam. Their classes aren't good. I didn't learn much, if anything. Some of the coaches don't know what they're doing. Others are disrespectful and even sexual harass and try to gaslight you. They don't do what they say. You're doing all the work. They promise a great search engine that isn't that much better than Google and they only give two months free. I tried to complain about the mistreatment and other issues and their Concierge customer service team lied and said they never received notification about my complaints even though I have multiple emails to them they ignored. Stay away from the coach Jeremy, and do yourself a favor and don't sign up for this. Right now I'm fighting to get my money refunded from them. It's a waste of your time and hard-earned money. You'll do better on your own as a speaker than with this company.

I’m in the National Speakers Association of Georgia and whenever I have speakers come up to me from that group at events and they say, “You seem so polished. How did you get here?” I will say, “I went through The Speaker Lab." I always tell them The Speaker Lab helps you really get organized with the business...They can really help you get organized and get started on the right foot. Whether you’re just starting off or you’ve been a speaker for a long time, be willing to invest in yourself. It is an investment but it’s to help you get better. I’ve already made back the money that I’ve invested in The Speaker Lab. So it is very much worth it. I would tell anybody who wants to get serious about it to go for it.

I took the 2 day bootcamp and learned a great deal plus reinforced a lot of other business knowledge that I had gained elsewhere which let me know that I was on they were on the right track with what I had previously learned. It's a lot of material in a short amount of time - highly condensed into 2 days but a good amount of material. many other creatives and entrepreneurs attend and hearing their thoughts and ideas and questions was highly helpful as well.

I’d recommend The Speaker Lab to anyone starting their speaking journey. Even if you’re not ready to make a big investment, there are outstanding free resources—the website, the podcast, the virtual bootcamps. I’m a huge fan of The Speaker Lab podcast. It’s practical, grounded, and filled with real stories from real speakers. It made me feel like, “I can do this too.”

I joined the Elite program, and it was absolutely worth it. It gave me the tools, the clarity, and the confidence to launch my speaking business. And I’m proud to say that I recently paid off the investment early—thanks to one big gig.
