Been using Texecom for a number of years, both installing and servicing, and have to say that it is one of the most installer & user friendly systems on the market to date. Technical Support is always a huge help and Dan Hewitt is always checking in to see how they can improve our experience overall.

Not many companies have driven the intruder technology forward. Great style keypads and captures. Wireless network which if installed properly is solid. Remote maintenance made easier and forward thinking. Easy to complain, but a company trying to keep up with technology. Not many are.

My intruder Texecom alarm was installed by ABI Electrical and I couldn't be happier with it, the app to set and unset is simple to use and I get notifications when things change. The chrome keypad looks amazing in my hall.

I am quite frustrated with this system. The associated phone application to connect with the alarm system is dreadful. When the application actually works, it’s slow to connect and very clumsy in operation. Worse however, is that the application often fails to connect (I have 5 bars of WIFI) meaning you can’t activate your alarm or secure your house.. rendering the whole system as completely useless.

They have been getting worse as the years have gone by

Had the system now a year in a multi occupancy building. We have continuing Major problems with alarms setting off.
I thought it was Chinese to explain why does the display “Welcome back” both on un setting and says the same when you want to set the alarm my people don’t know whether it’s set or unset
What is wrong with a Welcome back to unset and exit or goodbye when leaving. Spoilt the ship for hapeth of tar… sadly again
Judged on the little things.. other systems as good with common sense displays.
I had my alarm system updated a year back. I find the V2 app very useful and only use the app to set and unset the system. Firstly you don't have the annoying exit siren and I can be sure everyone is out of the house. However the app is painfully slow. It takes about 40 seconds from first click, sign in, and eventually access to arm or disarm. In a false alarm it is much quicker to log into a keypad to disarm. The app is most useful for remote setting when not at home. Only had one issue when the server went offline. The engineer reset everything remotely as soon as the server was fixed.
Had the alarm system for over a year now and it is dreadful. Constantly loosing connection and unable to reset without calling out engineer, at my expense.
Don’t buy this product.

Bought a Texecom system. Top of range in UK. Seen they are spreaded globaly so did not thought twice on get their best alarm.
Turns out that I wanted to install it overseas (Portugal) - there is only 1 representative there not answering his phone nor text messages. Terrible "worldwide" service! Don't know what to do with that bulk of junk now.
Overall experience of operating the system is not very user friendly. I am an engineer and wanted to have my system to be connected to my wifi to access it through mobile. First thing is that there is no clear documentation available on their site. Somehow, I could manage to do it (YourTube mercy). Final steps are suggesting to have an "Installer ID" and "Master code" to complete the setup on mobile app. I am doing it myself so did not have installer ID. Company's customer service is forcing me to contact local installer to get this completed and asking me to input incorrect information to generate installer ID on their website which failed twice. Now their cloud team will take further action to delete my account to retry. DON'T GO for TEXECOM security system if you are doing it yourself.

After upgrading an old Premiere48 panel and not having any alarm wiring experience the lads at Texecom support have been nothing short of amazing in helping me get to a point where all of then new features are now accessible. Theyve been replying over the course of a month and answering all of my questions, which has led me to purchase more texecom equipment and - also plan to buy more at the end of this month. How support should be. Thanks very much for all the help! (especially Kris)!!

I bought the smartcom wireless adapter. It wasn't updated when they did a roll out of firmware upgrades and now my device is bricked and cannot be used with no way to update the firmware manually. I've basically threw £100 down the drain after they said they will not be replacing them.

Latest version of shock/tamper pads are awful. Keep triggering the alarm in the middle of the night for no reason whatsoever.
And today the whole system is down which means we have to tolerate incessant “bleeping “ from the alarm box about every 30 seconds ….
Had my previous hard wired system for 16 years with no problems. Moved to wireless 4 years ago and had constant problems throughout ….

When you have a decent employee who's worked for you for numerous years, very good at his job, fixed jobs the Chinese couldn't, canceled medical appointments to work overtime, and quite possibly made you alot of money. Have the decency to turn up to his funeral. You forced my dad to retire from a job he enjoyed and couldn't even be bothered to attend his funeral. I hope you fold.

Texecom will not replace or repair faulty items directly... they have to be taken back to the original supplier, not the fitter. Texecom will fobb you off.
If you have this system get an invoice / receipt from the supplier... not the fitter.
Texecom customer service in my experience is shocking.

We had a Premier 64W installed by an NSI company and had nothing but issues , wireless devices dropping out, batteries draining and the App keep going down . The system end panel was upgraded with similar issues then another company took us over after leaving - they’ve told us Texecom is going to the ground , it’s old technology with too many software bugs so we had another upgrade to ORISEC and the system is working really well . Third time lucky but not with Texecom
We had the Texecom alarm professionally installed four years ago and all we have had is trouble. The first year only a couple of issues but then the window sensors systematically failed. So we were getting alarms activations usual between midnight and three in the morning. The alarm installation company after 6 had failed replaced them all and almost immediately they started to fail again. The phone app is poor and unreliable.
All in all a bad choice for us. We are now in the position of looking for another system and having the Texecom one ripped out so a waste of money. Please think very carefully before you get one of these as it’s only been a pain for us and a poor quality product that’s not fit for purpose
Texecom app is a joke. Very bad and incomplete history report. Poor arm and disarm functionality when used by two users. Expensive system but much more amateur than my former cheap system. Regret I bought this and regret I always need a professional to program this poor system. Don’t buy!
