A helpful site
This is a very nice site that helps to create new connections and the support staff really want to help. I do have a couple of suggestions. It is not clear if the student has selected an online or in-person session when they book a lesson. Also, the review process is painful. Students don’t know if their reviews have gone through, tutors don’t know if they have pending reviews, and it takes a long time for reviews to appear on the site.

We are pleased to hear that your interactions with the Superprof team have been positive, and we thank you for your comments.
Students are required to indicate the type of lessons they seek (i.e. online or face-to-face) in their lesson requests, and we provide them with a pre-populated lesson request message which includes this information, however, the template may be overwritten with a personalised message, and this is where the student may forget to include their preference. We appreciate that it is important for the tutor to know the type of lesson a student seeks in order to respond appropriately, and we will investigate the options available to ensure that this information is always communicated.
Our team has to review each recommendation and review that is posted to ensure that they meet with the Superprof quality standards and privacy rules before we are able to publish them, so these do not appear straight after they have been submitted. Although we aim to publish reviews and recommendations within 48 hours of receipt, there are instances in which high volumes are experienced and our teams are not able to do so. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Spanish guy travelling and doing face to face English lessons
I had my first student from Spain.We did 7 hours of speaking since he arrived.
I have already seen a big improvement in his confidence level and speaking . The entire process was smooth. I taught him face to face.
It's an easy process. He paid me in cash after all the lessons.

Payment system does not work
Initially struggling with the payment system and support but Superprof did respond quickly after this review and made interim plan, while trying to resolve the issue. I can now up the rating from 2 to 4 so far.
*Initial problem*
Trying to register on Superprof, but there online payment system does not work. Tried 4 credit cards, 2 banks all give a error.Neither do they respond to email support, there is also no contact telephone number to call as well. This is going on for 3 days now. I am giving up with them. (South Africa)
