Staysure Expat Travel Insurance Bewertungen 

I always use Staysure Expats insurance for my travel insurance when travelling from my home in Spain back to the UK. So easy to get a quote and documents sent within minutes! Great service

It is now 3 days since i recieved a response from Staysure. Despite the assurance that i would recieve a quick response, I hve heard NOTHING FROM THEM !
Have previously rated at 2 stars to which I got a response. Unfortunately actions speak louder than words or in this case InAction. The claims handlers have twice told me they have not received documents which I know to be untrue, they have now passed me to a 3rd claims company! Anything so as not to payout the insurance cover.

My return trip from Hyderabad India was delayed. When I arrived in Abu Dhabi the connection flight was further delayed and when i arrived in Madrid I had to stay an additional night and rebook my train ticket. NOT A PROBLEM. So I thought iIcan claim on my multi trip insurance. Initally i was directed to ERGO for expats. The gentleman gave me a long search address but all I got was-- this site does not exist. Four calls later A gentleman connected me to a claim site and I began filling the form in. After 3hours I was unable to get past the page that said additional costs because I wasnt claimimg any!!!So after another 2 calls to StaySure I was told I was claiming on the wrong form. The girl sent me a PDF to fill in. I cannot believe the amount of paperwork and information to claim euros 230. 5 pages of information. In shortthey require Policy certificate..( Seems fair) Booking documents showing total cost of holiday (Does anybody actually know this) Airline tickets (Fair) Travel Itenary (Most of my travel was off the cuff). Document to support any discount given to you (what does this mean?) Letter from the carrier in my case ETHIAD stating exact reason for delay and scheduled and actual departure date and time (Already stamped on my ticket). Written confirmation from the PUBLIC SCHEDULED SERVICE OPERATOR for the reason (Bloody good luck with this in India). An official letter from the carrier or tour operator stating the official cause of delay. The exact period of delay. I guess dropping a bomb in the middle east covers it all. We have always automatically covered outselves with STAYSURE but the next renewal will be with sombody else. Don't get charmed by a pleasant voice on the phone. The proof of the pudding in in the eating. What a great way to make a buck, make the process to claim so difficult you give up the will to continue.

I had to cancel a booked hiking holiday after I fell and badly broke and displaced both bones in both wrists. I had surgery with 3 metal pins inserted in each wrist. My wrists were immobilised for 10 weeks, after which I started intensive physiotherapy. The surgeon and physiotherapist both advised me to cancel the trip as I would not be able to use hiking poles and there was a risk of falling on weakly-bonded bones. I submitted a claim to Staysure (Expat) 2 months ago with all the information and evidence requested including the cancellation invoice, surgeon’s report, X-rays and photographs of me with both my arms in plaster but they still have not dealt with it.
Staysure’s adverts say that they pay 95% of claims, that they respond within 5 days of receiving notification of a claim and pay within 5 days of receiving all information requested. They say complicated claims might take a little longer.
I notified Staysure (Expat) on 23 May and provided all requested information and evidence on 27 May. My claim is clearly genuine and not at all complicated.
The only communication I have received from Staysure Expat is 5 requests for my bank details, which I have provided 5 times. They ask for this info by email but they don’t read my emails. I receive automated responses saying thank you for your email; please provide your bank details.

This is the 2nd year I have insured with them, and find any contact dealt with in a friendly & efficient manner. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

The website is good. It took me quite a long time to complete all the information because I wanted it to be correct.
