ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE experience with Spectrum Insurance Services. I would score them minus stars if I could! I took out a 3 year car warranty with them via the dealership I bought my car from, thinking the warranty would protect me. I couldn’t have been more wrong. It turns out that my car has a factory recall due to a Cam Belt. No car for 5 weeks now and Spectrum are doing everything possible to not help me. Unhelpful, do not listen and take forever to respond! It’s like trying to draw blood from a stone! Absolutely diabolical customer service. They look for every possible reason not to help their customers with claims. I DO NOT recommend you take out any form of insurance with this company or you will be severely out of pocket. It was pointless taking out a warranty with this awful company!
1st Class Service from the Guys at Spectrum, Purchased a used car from motorpoint and within 5 weeks the dreaded engine light came on, now I'm a panicker so as this happened on a Saturday afternoon I was worried the whole weekend, However 1st thing Monday morning I received a call telling me to take the car for diagnostic checks at a garage near me, the issue was quickly diagnosed and it turned I had 2 issues with my 02 senor and Lamda sensor, Both were ordered and repaired within a few days

The labour rate per hour is 42 pounds plus vat which is not sensible at all nowadays, but overall is a very good company

Mechanic found they were better at handling cases than other Warrently companies.

Easy dealing with claims dept and garage did most of the work in getting authorisation.had to pay invoice myself and took,in my opinion ,longer than it should for repayment

I have a Platinum Extended Warranty with this company. Recently, a dashboard warning light came on, so I took my car to a Spectrum Preferred garage. The claim was processed promptly and easily — no jargon, simple and straightforward. I would definitely recommend them! I’ve been with them for two years and have made three claims so far with no issues at all. :)
Easy to get hold via phone text and email. My car was fixed locally and it was quickly resolved. A fair reimbursement was completed quickly to my bank.

I’ve made 2 claims over the life of the policy, to date.
My most recent claim ran through relatively straight forward. My tyre was damaged and the dealership spoke with Spectrum and after about 2 weeks I was paid out.
On my first claim a few years ago, I had a puncture and the tyre required replacement.
I waited over 30 days in that instance.
On both occasions Spectrum refer to the prices stipulated on Halfords - but I usually take the car to the dealership or was recovered to the dealership.
No where in the terms and conditions of the policy does it mention a price cap denoted by Halfords which is unfair.
The first time Halfords didn’t even have the correct tyre.
I don’t want some apprentice working in my car at Halfords, I’d rather have the work done correctly by my dealership (no offence). The dealership warranties the work and make sure torque settings, balancing and so on are as per the original spec.
Got through quickly, the person on the other end was actually a decent human and they they quickly resolved the claim
