I called them for a leak detection due to high water bill. Some person called Aaron shows up, he looked like he did not want to be there in the first place. There was no leak to detect, so he just says it’s flush tank and says he cannot do a full test since the isolation tap is not reachable, so even though he cannot do a 100% test, he is 100%’sure’ it’s the flush tank. So when I said, it’s not a full test, he accused me of not not wanting to pay! I phoned the office to discuss. Aaron goes outside the house to take the call. Both Aaron and office say the same thing - 100% flush tank, without conducting the test. Person the phone was getting a bit rude as well. I then called my regular plumber and as soon as they found out he was coming, Aaron goes out has another call and comes back - this time apologies for being rude, then says he will open the flush tank etc, they decided to fiddle with the flush tank by opening screws etc and making it very leaky. He then takes photos etc amd says this is the leaky and he refused to wait for my plumber. The person on the phone said they are not obligated to wait for anyone and they only thing they did was charge me £462 even though there was no leak. Rude, arrogant and fraudulent. AVOID and save your money.

Update 15th May 2024 - the person from the office calls again and starts literally bullying me about the review. He was claiming that they would refund me if I gave him proof even though on the day he just kept saying Aaron was the expert. He did not even mention any of this on the day. He started yelling at me , attacked me personally finally hung up on me.

On 2nd July 2024 - the company has asked for my information! Unbelievable! They need to get over it and just be more honest.

pinpointed exact source of leak meaning only a small section of ceiling needed to be exposed. The operative offered useful advice, and was a calming influence - leaks are stressful!

Be wary of this company they are writing negative reviews on competitors pages and after doing abit of homework you can see from their trust pilot reviews that they are a bunch of scammers,
Mohammed Jabar is the Owner and is portraying himself as “Joe” “James” to avoid giving his real name he has a young girl in the office her name is Laura who he is molestring and she goes by the name of “Samantha” and has no clue of what she is talking about to customers, the owner Mohammed Jabar is abusing his staff to force them to rob elderly customers by taking the card details, please be wary of this company and look at the attached images of the negative trustpilot reviews. All the positive trustpilot reviews are from people who he has paid £50 for each review to get his score up to where it is, it is a shame that companies like this give a bad name.

I am a plumber my self and required some help to loacte a leak i couldn't find. Aaron attened ontime, used every leak tracing equipment he had avalible and triple checked he was sure he had right loaction. i made the access under the floor and found the leak stright away.
Aaron even called later on in the evening to check everthing was resolved.

I was happy with the service provided. The engineer was polite and communicated well the problems he encountered to find the leak. He finally found the leak within our boundary. So job done and I am eagerly waiting to receive the report.

The attending engineer was punctual, polite and efficient. He certainly seemed to know his stuff and was quickly able to prove the source of our leak, which a local plumbing company had only been able to guess at.

Originally we were told by our plumber that we had a leak in the central heating system. We called in specialist leak detection and they sent their engineer, Aaron. He arrived promptly and aimed to finish in the four-hour window. Aaron did every test and was very thorough and was then able to tell us that there were no leaks in the system and it was an issue with the boiler. He was able to explain everything so that we understood and we are now in the process of having the boiler fixed.

Far too expensive - would not use again. Couldn't solve my issue, so I felt quite despondent, despite paying over £500. The engineer was very nice and courteous, so not his fault, but very disappointing experience.

From the moment I called the company were very efficient. They made an appointment that suited me at their earliest possible convenience.
Tyler attended and my tenants reported how professional he was.

I rarely post negative reviews, but I had a terrible experience with this company. I paid them a hefty fee to investigate pressure loss in my central heating system. They claimed to have located the source of the problem, but their proposed solution didn't work. I then asked them to come back to further investigate what the problem was, but but they refused without an additional payment. Their website promises "if we don't find it, we won't charge it", but they tried to weasel out of this commitment, and showed no evidence of pride in their work nor of customer care. Based on my experience, I would advise people to avoid this company.

I would give the company 10 stars and highly recommend them. They were fast, efficient
and gave us advice every step of the way.

THROUGH AND VERY GOOD but expensive!!!

SLD were fantastic.

We contacted SLD on a Friday evening in a panic, our water company having just accused us of having a large mains water leak, just as we are starting to discuss completion dates on our sale of the property. Tyler arrived promptly on Sunday morning and quickly undertook a forensic examination of our internal and external pipework. He was clear, professional and thorough in his communication - taking the time to explain to us each step.

He then discovered the reason for our sky high water usage wasn't a leak, but rather a bizarre joint supply setup with a neighbor two doors down that the water company were totally oblivious too.

Clear, useful reporting which I have now used to submit a reimbursement claim with the water company. I'd thoroughly recommend SLD and Tyler in particular.

We could not recommend Specialist Leak Detection highly enough. After numerous engineers had visited our property and could not locate a leak in our central heating system pipework, John from Specialist Leak Detection arrived promptly for an emergency visit and found the leak within an hour. SLD provided a detailed report and, no doubt, saved our property from further damage.

Admittedly before John King arrived I was apprehensive about the visit, however I needn't have worried as John was experienced, informative & had a very personable manner conveying his findings of approximately where the underground water mains leak was located in lower ground flat.
The office administrator Victoria was very helpful.
To conclude for the time the technician spent on the job & the distance he travelled I feel we paid over the odds. The report had plenty of details about the methodology, a bit more information on the leak would have been more helpful. You pays your money & you take your choice!

Tyler the engineer was really helpful and informative, letting us know everything he was doing and why. He finally found the leak and ensured minimal damage was caused to our property while he fixed it.

Thames water suspected a leak between the water meter and the house I contacted SLD and the guy that came with all the technology did a great job detecting the leak.

Called as we had a under floor leak , booked appointment glad they could bring it forward as we had no hot water , the guy called Tyler I think came at 3pm used the equipment to detect the leak as it was tiled floor he decided to dig up the tiles and was adamant to find and fix the leak , after finding the leak it was quickly repaired and by 6pm it was all done great service fast and efficient above all customer service was excellent , bit on the pricey side but it's worth the call out as it was fixed in no time . I had thought they would come the next day but glad it was done the same day so great service would highly recommend these guys for any leaks well happy 👍👌👌 spot on service
