Good looking product
I have not yet installed the sound material in our boat. However, the service from Soundproof Cow was excellent. With all the supply chain issues there was a very minor delay in shipping, about 3 days. This delay was communicated to me by Soundproof Cow in a timely manner. The product was delivered in good condition. Look like it should be easy to install.

Product is not quite what I thought
The product is not quite what I thought. It was not a rigid sheet as advertised. It was a somewhat flimsy roll and very hard to keep upright as I planned to use it since it is so heavy/bendable and would collapse on itself. Ended up throwing it all away since it was not a rigid sheet as advertised and wasted 1k here since shipping is over 300 one way. There are several pictures of other products (Roll) where it visually depicts products capable of being rolled up. For the product I ordered 'Quiet Barrier™ HD Soundproofing Material (Sheet)', it was visually depicted as rigid. Be warned that these (Sheet) are not rigid - they also roll and are delivered rolled up. I am giving 3 stars vs 1 star because they were responsive when I was asking for special ordering instructions and it was indeed capable of blocking sound for some other use case.
I have updated my use of Panel to (Sheet) to match the verbiage used on the site. This was done in response to the SoundProofCow comments below.

We are not finding anywhere on our site where it says that it is a panel.
The sheets weigh roughly 64 lbs each so your order total weight was 256 lbs sent in four separate boxes, unfortunately, that did cost $360.76 with our negotiated rates, we unfortunately, cannot control what Fed Ex charges, sadly we are at the shippers mercy.
We are also a bit confused, you stated you gave us a 3 star review, yet, you gave us a 2 star review? Can you please call to discuss this with us.
The Quiet barrier HD composite is one of our best sellers, We are so sorry to hear that you threw it away, if it was new and uncut it could have been returned for a panel that you had originally intended to purchase.

In 2006 I purchased an up/down 4-plex built in 1975. It was very noisy downstairs and the tenants did not stay long. I had tried insulating between the floors with no effect. Over the years I was searching for a solution and finally came across Soundproof Cow. In 2019 I purchased HD 3/8" underlayment when I replaced the carpet. It worked but I had to trim the doors because it raised flooring too much. On the next unit I purchased the MD 1/4" and it works just as well. It's like the sound is captured in the unit and can't get out. Yep it is heavy! Yep it cost a lot to ship! But who cares, it Works! It does exactly what it's name says.

The product looks good and the…
The product looks good and the expertise/information about the product on the website looked great. My only compliant was the absolute sticker-shock on shipping cost (as much as the product). I did get a very small break when I called back, but I just didn't believe that was just pass-thru cost from the carrier.
Strangely the product arrived within 48 hours. I didn't need it right away so I would have preferred a lower cost and longer delivery timeframe.
I'm not asking for a defense of why the cost is that high, I'm reporting my behavior given that cost: I would look at Amazon Prime first because of free shipping, and if they didn't have the product then maybe look at Soundprroof Cow next.

When you called in our team was able to find you a lower rate through another shipping option, meaning other than what is offered online, and our team credited your purchasing card for the difference. The rising costs of shipping and transportation / logistics issues have affected us all, and while we would love to offer free shipping that is not a path we chose to take because the price of shipping is always added on the back end and it is never truly free. Unless, as you mentioned you are buying from Amazon. We would love to be the size of Amazon and create our own logistics network, unfortunately, we are nowhere near that size, and I know of very few companies that can compete with Amazon. We are a small, woman owned business and if you chose not to support small companies like ours that is your choice. We do not excessively markup shipping charges, many of our products are oversized, many weigh a lot. If you were to take the same package to UPS or Fed Ex you would be shocked to see what you are paying with our company is actually a discounted negotiated rate that we receive due to the sheer volume that we ship annually. It again is your choice as to who you purchase them from, we will never compromise on our quality, customer service or our team values, honesty is a huge part of who we are, that is why we chose transparency with every transaction.
Lastly, we are located in PA, you are in NY, it is a two day standard ground shipping, there is no other option for less of a charge.

Not as good as I was hoping for
Customer service with Justin was great. I live in a house that's divided into apartments. But the house isn't insulated and I hear literally every movement that my upstairs neighbor makes. She also works night hours and so her sounds wake me up at 4 in the morning when she gets home, every night. Justin explained to me that this type of sound is called vibrational sound and he reccomended that I get the Echo Absorber acoustic panel and have it installed on my bedroom ceiling. Between the cost of these supplies and the construction to install the panels, it cost me about 6K. Unfortunately, this didnt work. I still hear the sounds and echos. It muffles some of the sounds slightly. Maybe like a 25% reduction, which is better than nothing. But for the cost, time, labor, and personal stress involved, this was a big disappointment. Based on my conversations with the company and the reviews here, I was really hoping for better soundproofing.

This review is for your MLF tape. I have to say it worked perfectly! The adhesion level is great! It sticks and stays in place. Still thin enough to shape around mild contours. Currently doing a sound barrier project on my vintage car. Plan to buy a 2nd roll. Great product!

When your order was placed on 1/19/22 you were told that this product was a custom order. This is also listed on the product page:

This soundproofing wrap did nothing to soundproof the pipe. We still hear the water flushing down the pipe every time the toilet flushes in the condo above us.

We are very sorry to hear that you are not happy with your Quiet Wrap purchase. Unfortunately, there are several variables that could factor into the lack of performance that you are experiencing. The three rolls of Quiet Wrap that you purchased could cover as much as 6’ or as little 4.5’ of pipe depending on the diameter of the pipe. It’s a rarity that this quantity is enough to cover any standard length of pipe run, so we would ask to make sure that the entire pipe was wrapped, meaning no gaps, exposed areas or exposed pipe. That would mean from the source, in this case, the problem toilet, the entire pipe (even if some of the portion is on your neighbors side, or in your ceiling, etc.) would need to be completely wrapped in order for the product to sufficiently reduce or eliminate the sounds of the flushed water. You could have wrapped the pipe like a hot dog in a hot dog bun, which has proven to be inconsistent in performance because the product doesn’t hold itself in that shape well and is very rare that the wrap is able to fully envelope the pipe in this type of wrapping method. Possibly, you could have doubled up on this particular wrap style, but we do not have any data on the efficiency of this wrapping method.

Quieted my cold air return
My furnace cold air return is located in my front entry hall which is right next to my TV room. When the furnace turned on I would have to turn up the TV volume. My goal was to absorb any sound within this duct. I used the 1 inch Echo absorbing cotton panels to line the cold air return duct and to line the blower compartment of my furnace. The noise reduction was noticeable, but not completely gone. My furnace air intake is very large/ oversized. Before doing this cotton panel install I removed my cold air return cover and their was no change in the noise. The noise I was trying to reduce was strictly blower / air flow noise within the blower. I no longer need to turn the TV louder when the furnace turns on. I used pin fasteners with slide on retainers along with construction adhesive. Overall the project was well worth it. The next step is to cover the outside of the cold air return duct and the outside of the blower compartment with MLV to dampen any other noises. I like this cotton panel product since it is not fiberglass.

Outrageously expensive delivery charge. Sent only 6 pieces of tape which is not even 5% of what is needed to complete the project with the amount I ordered. Quite dissapointed.

You chose Fed Ex to deliver your online order, we added Fed Ex to the delivery options to help customers pick the best shipping method and price for them. Carriers such as UPS and Fed Ex rates continue to increase, and unfortunately, we have no control over what these third party vendors charge. We are just as frustrated at the high costs and continual increases. Sadly, there is nothing that we can do about this. Your order weighed roughly 105 lbs per box, sent in 6 separate boxes, the charge you received was actually our discounted / negotiated rate of $581.31.
We prefer to be transparent and lay out all costs for our customers, giving them shipping options.
When viewing online order 34698, it looks as if you ordered a qty of 6 rolls / pcs for the Quiet Barrier Tape. Our website clearly describes the complete dimensions of the roll and what it will cover, I have added the link here:

and the information below. It also clearly states that one roll covers 8 linear feet, if you did not have enough material for your job that would be a calculation error, not an error on our end.
