WARNING! Just got a call from one of there installers, Solid Wood Company is closing! All of them, dont let them fool you, if you are waiting for cabinets YOU WONT GET THEM! Call your BANK or Loan Company if thats where you got your money from, BEST OF ALL CALL YOUR LAWYER! We just got ROBBED! ! !
This company a total joke !
This company a total joke !! Ordered my cabinets back in June 2019. Was shipped partially as some were back ordered. They even ship cabinets without the doors and expect people like us to figure out how to get them on straight and lining up with the other doors. Anyway, we ordered a farm style sink and when my contractor went to install, found out it was actually a regular style sink. My contractor actually took it back to Solid wood to get them to fix it and they told him they don’t make those style sink cabinets. So I was sold a cabinet that doesn’t exist when we ordered a farm style sink. So my contractor had to modify the cabinet and by doing this, we have to make the doors smaller so he handed the two doors to Solid Wood to modify and send to me. This was on Halloween. Here we are today, Dec 27th and still no doors to finish the job. We get the runaround typical lying customer service answers “ The doors needs to be painted” , no order yet for production”. And today we get, doors didn’t pass inspection, won’t be till Jan 20th. Yea right !!!! Prob be 2021 by the time we see these two doors to finish the job. This is one screw up company that cannot finish a job from day one. How they can’t do two little doors in all this time is beyond me. I will be contacting BBB about this business and the service I been getting and if I don’t have the doors by Jan 20th, then I will be filing a small claim court case against them to get my money back for breach of contract by not completing the job that was paid for. Simple as that. Stay away from this company by all cost to save you a headache with any issues.
UPDATE: Jan 10, 2020 and just got an email today that they will be shipping the two doors. Let’s just hope it matches the paint of the cabinets and fits. Will update once job completed.
Final Update: doors finally came Jan 11th via next day Fed Ex. Only took 7 months to complete the full order. The quality of the wood is very good, just that this company needs to overhaul the customer service department and be sure to get the complete order out to their customer in a more timely manner when ordered. When you have a poor customer service department, it makes the company looks terrible. Start there and set up a better system in handling customer issues.

Do not buy from any location of this company unless you are prepared to call repeatedly over several months. Their Customer Care Department couldn't care less about you as a customer or consumer. No one returns phone calls and no one has any information.

We purchased cabinets from this company and it has been a terrible experience..they delivered our order 5 months ago but , had a lot of damaged plus missing doors and cabinets . We called in the same day we got our delivery and until this day still have not received replacement. We did get a shipment of doors that did not even fit our cabinets but nothing since then . The communication is terrible with these people .....we call send emails and it takes forever to get a response if at all. One passes the buck to the other and at the end of the day you get nowhere ....I have seen poor customer service before but nothing like this especially after spending $30,000 with them. If we could go back in time I definitely would not use them and we are considering taking them to court because our kitchen is still not done and would rather pay extra to have replica made by someone else in order to get this completed. Stay away !!!!!!! I read some of the reviews and found this to be a common problem with them . They have multiple stores so read them because they are all connected . Wow... if I would have only read these first .

I placed an order from solid wood…
I placed an order from solid wood cabinets because they promised to deliver my cabinets within four (4) to six (6) weeks . It has been (8) weeks now, and the sales associate Natalia has yet to give me an explanation as to why I haven’t received my cabinets or a tentative delivery date . Natalia stated that the company is under new management and that this may be causing a delay . She gave me a contact named Adriana from the shipping department . When I reached out at approx 11 am Adriana said that the delay was due to 6 of the cabinets being on back order since the order date in August which I was Never told . Adriana asked for me call her back at 3:30PM in order for her to look further into this matter and have answers as to when my cabinets would be delivered . I called more then four times in 45 minutes at the time given and have not gotten anything more than an answering machine . I left voicemail and still no return call . The most aggravating part is that had i been told that the cabinets were on back order I would have ordered other cabinets that were in stock . This vendor prides itself on quality and the years of service but the customer service and communication with the buyer is unacceptable. Timeline is very important in most scenarios when a family is trying to plan kitchen remodeling . I would not recommend buying from this company as it has been nothing short of impossible to get answers . Ironically enough I haven't received the cabinets or even have a delivery date yet, but they did Put the charge through on my account . As a matter of fact they charged more then they were suppose to and I was told that the credit would be applied toward the countertops . At this rate I am extremely frustrated and it’s unclear if I’ll have my kitchen done before the holidays .

+9 months to receive cabinets.
Ordered cabinets in early March (2019). It is now September 20, 2019, and I still have not received all the cabinets. This was for a rental and I was unable to get full rent for the unit because the kitchen only had 1/2 of the cabinets. I have had to call multiple times and the customer service is beyond dishonest and terrible. Stay far away.

Started out fine but ended up the worst…
Started out fine but ended up the worst experience... Started by ordering the good cabinets, were happy to pay double the next competitor, should have gone with the cheaper. Cabinets are supposed to be glued and screwed, we took the lazy susan apart to get it in the door, not a drop of glue, Tricorner cabinet not glued, ordered crown molding 3 months no calls to let us no they were discontinued, had to order different molding, then ordered pull out drawers that keep getting back ordered.
Stay away from this company.

Brick NJ location
Nate Berger at the Brick NJ location is great. He really knows his stuff and was able to jump right in and create the kitchen we were hoping for. He thought of all the little details like the special trim we would need. He knew where to put banks of drawers and details that I had not even thought of. Very personable, quick to respond to questions and easy to work with. Most of the stars on this review are because of Nate.
I had to subtract a star because many cabinets and doors were delivered damaged or broken and the wait for replacements is longer than we were promised. But that’s a definite quality control issue at the factory and delivery process. Nate was really the best part of this entire process. All of your stores should have a Nate.
This experience started out ok...Five months later, not so much...
This experience started out ok. Ordered cabinets in February, received them in April... one set of doors was on back order. After repeatedly calling and emailing them about the backorder, they decided to stain the doors in their shop instead of giving us some from the factory as they had no idea how much longer we'd be waiting. Almost 3 mos after the cabinets arrived, got the set of doors that were done "in house". They were horrible quality. The stain did not match our existing cabinets and the detail work looked like it was done by a 5 year old with a Sharpie! (No idea how they made it out of "Quality Control". Were told July 1st that a shipment from factory was coming mid-July and they'd send us doors from that. Mid-July came and we were told the shipment was delayed in customs. Now end of July we're back to square one with no answer on when we can expect the set of doors.
DO NOT BUY KITCHEN CABINETS HERE
DO NOT use them. It has been an absolute nightmare. When you purchase cabinets from them, they do not inform you that items are backordered, so you end up having to wait for weeks (or months, according to some reviews) for pieces to arrive. We have been waiting for over a month for backordered panel and doors to the kitchen sink cabinet. They forgot to send hinges with the corner cabinets, then when I complained about it to customer service, they sent the wrong ones. After calling customer service repeatedly, they now tell me the correct hinges are backordered and they have no idea when they’ll arrive. They also told me they sent the incorrect hinges “to accommodate the customer.” I asked how sending incorrect hinges accommodates the customer’s needs? They also sent an incorrect size cabinet (after I sent the sales associate the exact dimensions of our appliances), then tried to charge me for sending the correct one. Customer service is completely incompetent and unresponsive. It is a joke that this company is claiming they have an A+ rating with BBB. I will be reporting them to the BBB so that this rating can be corrected. Take your business elsewhere. It is not worth the headache.
Very poor customer service
If there was a o I would give it to them. Cabinets were ordered September 5th 2018. It is now June 25 2019 and doors are still missing. After many calls that were not returned they were reported to BBB. Suddenly I received a call from someone saying they had no idea what happened. He stated some calls are dropped. So many phone calls were made that they would have to gone out of business for that many calls not to be returned or as he said dropped. Cabinets are very nice but they can’t deliver products. Customer service is terrible. Still missing two doors

Awful customer service! I work in customer service and I’m appalled. We got cabinets from them in 2014. I went into the Woodbridge NJ location where I originally purchased from in February of this year for replacement doors under my kitchen sink. I was told they couldn’t find my original order and were busy could I get more info and come back no problem. I found my original purchase order and diagram went back 2 days later and they told me my salesperson wasn’t in could I come back ?! Um ok.... so I sent my husband in that Sunday with our folder of information, we’ll he waited an hour and was told the salesperson was busy could be just wait a few more minutes he’s almost done. Another hour later my husband couldnt wait any longer and asked a different salesperson to take his phone number so someone could call him and he could always come back later. Back and forth 3 trips later of the same nonsense finally our doors are ordered!... or so we think. April comes still no doors we were originally told they had plenty in stock and should ship within a few days. After several phone calls to the Woodbridge location and the 800 number nothing I’m told reach out to my salesperson. Ok I go back in and he isn’t there (surprise) so the only sales person in the place looks up my information and says this is a quote not an invoice. Oh really because I have a paid receipt where are my doors?! No this is wrong I can convert it to an invoice but you didn’t pay enough ok what do I owe like I just need my doors so I pay basically twice now it’s was literally a $4 difference from what my husband paid months ago. Now fast forward to mid June still no doors ! Woodbridge location is worthless I’m not sure if it’s a commission issue or what but they won’t help you tell you to come see your sales associate. The 1800 number is a joke. Finally after several calls and complaints my doors come yay ! My husband opens the box and I have 4 doors not 2. So the second time I paid was for a second set of doors. Oh but it gets better when we go to install them and they are too small. we called the customer service number leave a message. 3 days later get an obnoxious rude individual who tells my husband WE ordered the wrong door size and we Can pay to ship them back and pay a 25% restocking fee. I’m beyond this has been months I now have 4 doors I have no use for. I’m at a loss do I even bother paying to send them back and have to pay and be penalized when it could potentially take me 6 months to even get the correct doors. I will never recommend this company they have awful service and rude u helpful associates. From a customer service standpoint I feel like they have done nothing to rectify this situation expect place blame on the customer. as a customer service manager I would never imagine handling a situation like this and it’s a serious coaching moment on the company’s part before they end up out of business. Train your people how to handle situations and learn to accept when you have made and error. Maybe try and rectify the situation quickly and efficiently instead of placing blame. Just saying

NEVER USE THEM! The only reason solid wood cabinet company gets 1 star is because that is what you have to pick to get a review. Salesman DO NOT TELL YOU THE TRUTH ABOUT BACK ODERS! It is an extremely painful process. You do not get your cabinets fully assembled. Doors and Drawer faces are on back orders for months! We ordered in March, delivered pieces incomplete, even reversed cabinets in April. Now June and still waiting on doors and drawer faces!

Our Kitchen renovation journey
We did a major kitchen renovation using the Devon Raised panel cabinets from Solid Wood Cabinets. Our cabinets are beautiful, well made and the crown molding above them is the perfect finishing touch. Our kitchen designer Jackie Thomas worked very hard with us to create exactly what we wanted. Our contractor, Jeffrey from Helix Contracting turned our plans into a beautiful country kitchen. Our experience at Stone Tec stone yard in Trenton, New Jersey could not have been better. We chose Copper Canyon granite for our counter tops and island. Deano and the staff at Stone Tec were awesome to work with and the granite installers did a beautiful job. We chose Dave from Schrottworks LLC to do the painting. He did a beautiful job transforming two former rooms into one large kitchen. Our kitchen is done and we couldn't be happier except for the few pieces we are waiting for. Customer Care I need your help please. We are still waiting for: DRS-W1242-Door

We visited the store in Woodbridge NJ and paid $99 for in home measurements and drawing.
There was initial enthusiasm to help with the kitchen plans, 3d drawings etc. But the sales person was very pushy and lost interest when you ask them questions.
Most times when you walk around the store they do not even greet or react to the customers. It looks like they do not care for our business.
Finally she quoted a price of $7000. I bought a similar make and model for way less for the same measurements. Our experience suggests stay away.
Has to be the worst customer experience…
Has to be the worst customer experience I have ever had. #6 of their top 7 reason to deal with them is "Dedicated Service- our customer care team will make sure you are completely satisfied". Should change that to our customer care team really doesn't give a #$%!. Like other reviewers, we were told two weeks to get the cabinets. Ordered on Jan 9th to avoid having them arrive during the Christmas Holidays. Now April 23rd, my counter tops couldn't be ordered until the refrigerator end panel arrived, that took about 2 months. Now still missing doors and on three of the cabinets, the holes for the shelf pins are drilled too big. Keep getting promises that things will ship but still waiting. Once called customer service on a Wednesday after not getting a response to an email I had sent over the weekend and was told flat out that they don't even check emails until at least Tuesday afternoons. Quality of the product was OK, but nothing that special, some units arrived incorrectly assembled and had to be sent back, noticed one cabinet was off by 1/4" top to bottom on one side (of course not the side we put the level on when installing). I still have an issue with the trim and feel that the salesperson did not understand that the trim we wanted did not work with the doors we got. Was told certain doors couldn't be had with glass, not only did we get them in the glass we wanted but also got them in clear glass, along with the other doors we wanted- got them in both clear glass and the glass we wanted.
