A great umbrella company
A great umbrella company to administer your payroll. Payments always on time, and Neil definitely knows what he's about. Very efficient service and someone always available to answer queries immediately, unlike others who pass you around the system, and do not respond when they say they will!!

Good service
Working inside IR35 is a mischaracterisation of my business but my client required it. I needed an umbrella company with the flexibility to allow me to salary sacrifice most of my fee into pension. My other criterion was that IP which doesn't vest in the client should vest in me: this is not the default in law when working as an employee. Smart Work did this.

I have been with SmartWork several years and on several assignments at different times, and they are responsive and helpful, and I have never experienced any problems. The payslips are straightforward and their portal is easy to use. I will not hesitate to use them on my next assignment. Highly Recommended!

My first venture into contracting after 34 years working in IT and couldn't have been made easier. Everything explained up front to move to being part of an umbrella company, and always quick response to any questions or issues I might have. Would recommend anyone nervous of moving into contracting to go with Smartwork.

Good umbrella company! Ian Marshall has been very supportive. I was only with them for a short while but they are great at what they do. If I need another umbrella company in the future, it will be with them again.

Really good umbrella company
I have worked with umbrella companies before and can honestly say SmartWork is one of the best. My Business Manager Ian was always hopefully, replying to any queries or concerns promptly. It was a very good experience and I would happily use them again.

Efficient service
SmartWork are the first umbrella company I have used. Was a bit of minefield trying to decide who to chose but I've been very happy with SmartWork with Neil being my assigned manager. Any queries or issues I had were quickly resolved. My contract ended thus also with SmartWork but I will definitely use them again if my next contract is needed under an umbrella company.
