SBI UK website
This is specifically about the SBI UK website...frankly it is a piece of rubbish(wanted to use a stronger four letter word)...the people who devloped and maintain this webiste should hang their heads in shame. Takes ages to log in...OTP arrives way after the site times out. I spoke to a developer and he says the scripting of the site is very sketchy and a five year old could have done a better job! The actual banking app is no better.

Very WORST SBI yono app, This is the most unique SBI BANK app in the world, if you ever try to open anything in it, it is very difficult and very worst operating system in this app.
Very very difficult to use a urgently time.
I don't understand why this SBI bank has been chosen by the government. As a big bank, they have removed small banks, but I don't know why these government people are not removing this bank in the list. It is the most WORSTS bank.

The company has to improve in all the way. The service, product and website. The online SBIUK won't work as intended. The main purpose to transfer money and its hard to send and the wont work in all browsers

No person to speak to on the phone. Have to go to the branch in person. Disgusting system and processes.
Crap bank - avoid
Application doesn’t work must of the time. Customer service is useless. How they still have branches in the UK, is amazing.

I went to SBI EastHam on Saturday 25th October, I was told that I should have come with a prior appointment, however, the lady officer there entertained my request and completed my work. I am very thankful as I was not returned with my work pending.

SBI UK East Ham worst bank you can deal with , they have frozen my account for a credit which was made for Indian property remittance. They are asking me to prove source of funds by asking for statements of all associated transactions , which no other high street bank has ever asked me ,worst customer service and dont know how to deal with a legitimate customer , Never use SBI Uk for a india remittance your money will be just stuck in a frozen account , where you can neither take the money out nor transfer it to India

I had very good experience during my recent visit to SBI UK, Golders Green Branch. Highly impressed with the services received. Branch Manager Mr Mash & Personal Banker Mr Narendra were very helpful, they provided the required information with the latest updates to my satisfaction. This was my first visit to the this Branch. Despite the busy time, Mr Mash met in person, found him very engaged and customer focused approach. Therefore I would definitely recommend dealing with this branch based per my experience.

The bank is bogged down with lots of petty bureaucracy. I wanted to close an account with £74 in it. I have full online and mobile app based access to this account.
I completed all the requested information which was a written and signed posted letter accompanied by a signed image of my passport and a recent utility bill because I had moved home. I posted this.
I then received an email asking for an additional form to be completed which wasn't originally requested. This too had to be posted.
I then received a phone call requesting what I had originally submitted. I was very frustrated and said I would send a copy of everything again. Then an email came requesting another different form not included anywhere previously to be completed. However this wasn't attached to the email. I requested this form and got it by reply saying the bank had now found the previously requested form but still wanted the additional new one completed.
So a total mess of bureaucracy with people asking for multiple forms and then misplacing them.
The bank is generally disorganised. All the above for £74 when all the online security is passed seems utterly ridiculous.
I started banking with SBI with an ISA
I started banking with SBI with an ISA, initial thoughts were not very good, but over the period i have seen there are still companies example sbi who count customer is not just a number. I have dealt with Birmingham branch mr Singh was always very helpful. Recently we visited wolverhampton first time branch we have been welcomed by staff and offered tea coffee, it was so welcoming we felt delighted. Then we met mr gurender who took us in his cabin and helped us with everything. we had some queries related to opening account in india as we are thinking to settle in india after our retirement. He gave us all the necessary information. We are very happy banking with sbi they offer very personalised service. I will be visiting india next year where i may get a chance to meet Mr Modi and will definitely pass my experience with him.
SBI poor fixed rate deposit rates for GBP and USD
SBI UK gives poor interest rates on GBP and USD fixed rate deposits.
Despite internet rates central by Bank of England and Federal Reserve increasing many times. SBI has not updated rate paid for GBP since 1 March, and for USD since 10 October 2022.
This is a shame as otherwise their service is efficient.
