The company worked diligently to trace…
The company worked diligently to trace my old friend but was unsuccessful. So, in one sense it was a waste of money (quite a lot of money) but all avenues were employed to trace her and it was ultimately her inability to respond that made this a futile venture.

Whilst our search for your old friend was successful she unfortunately resisted all of our efforts to contact her. We did trace and speak to a family member who did verify that we had traced the correct lady to the correct address but sadly she chose not to respond to any of our efforts.
We did include your own contact details in our final letter and hopefully she will reach out to you directly, or at least speak to us, when the time is right for her.

I had to locate a family friend
I had to locate a family friend whom I last saw in 1985.
I was unsure about the Surname. All gave them was Two first names there daughters name and an address. The couple must have moved around as He was in the forces. Two weeks later they had made arrangements for me to talk with her.
The reason for the contact was a very delicate situation and the staff never judged me on the issue. They gave me sound and compassionate advice and well worth there fee.

Brilliant service unbelievable
I wasn't sure with the information I had Relative Connections would be able to find our friend, hut they did within two working days. All of the people I spoke to Joan and Sue were so helpful. I was a little worried at first just in case it was a scam but no way. It was 50 years since we had been in contact with pur friend, Best man at our wedding. Totally brilliant service

Primary school friend reunion. After making the decision to find my…
After making the decision to find my friend, who has hadn’t seen since primary school, Relative Connections wasted no time on searching. They kept me informed of their progress and amazingly it wasn’t long before I could contact my friend again. The process to enable this was sensitive and professional giving me reassurance that my friend would not be alarmed that I was requesting to find her.
Last week we contacted each other via a video call. It was so exciting, what seemed like a 30 minute call was in fact 90 minutes. It felt like 50 odd years hadn’t passed by, we were both buzzing! Relative Connections have helped me to fulfil an ambition to find my dear friend which means more than having a gold ring or a holiday!

Simply from the beginning all staff in…
Simply from the beginning all staff in particular Sue Harrison were outstanding in firstly their telephone manner explaining very clearly how they operate their business and then again very clearly providing all the information necessary to continue.
At all time through the communication Sue and other staff members were extremely helpful and very efficient.

Polite, professional, efficient and compassionate
I initially approached Relative Connections as I was searching for an estranged family member - I had tried looking for myself, but had got nowhere. The staff I dealt with at Relative Connections were all polite, efficient and sensitive to my situation. The team traced my relative remarkably quickly. It turned out that the person I was searching for had sadly passed away. The service provided by three members of the team that I spoke to - Jake, Sue and Josh - stood out as being especially professional, knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. I really felt as though I was being treated as a person and not just a "client". I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Discussed finding my daughter on the phone to relative connections. I certainly will not be using them!
Just had a chat with a very blunt and blasè boy called jake about finding my daughter who i have not seen in over 10 years.
He was rude, unclear about the process and repeated himself.
Clearly a self important cocky individual stating "im a consultant" "ive been doing this 9 years" and such.
He repeated we do not give out addresses around 3 times which I thought was strange and when I told him the person I am searching for turns 18 in 3 months he said we can't search for anyone under 18. That's fine I said, I am just looking to get a plan in place and can commence in 3 months. In his mutterings he repeated thst they can't search for anyone under 18 which I found annoying.
Fact is, this comapny are agents, posing as "consultants"
Ive spoken to mechanics and plumbers who are more sensitive and suited to such a proffesion as finding lost relatives.
Their verbal quote which was given on the phone was around,
£250 finding fee.
*They didn't say anything about this being refundable in the case that they don't successfully find your lost relative so you may wish to confirm this with them before handing over your money.
£750 for them to write a letter/make contact.
*More fees i believe to put you in touch with your lost loved one.
Their quote was upwards of £1000
Relative connections are taking advantage of people desperate to find their loved ones.
Totally immorale and unethical.

How disappointing to receive such a scathing review amongst such glowing reviews from clients who have used our service. I have reviewed your call to our office. Whilst we appreciate the distress that an estrangement from a loved one can cause, we do not tolerate abusive language or personal insults used towards any of our staff members and your behaviour on the call was wholly unacceptable.
Jake is a very experienced member of our team and has a wealth of knowledge about our service and the journey our clients take. He was steadfast in explaining the service, but at no point did he raise his voice, be rude or confrontational in return. We are not agents, we are experienced family researchers who have conducted thousands of successful searches to trace family and friends our clients have become estranged from and to mediate in the contact process.
We also, as Jake explained, cannot search for any subject under the age of 18 and therefore could not assist you immediately, which was politely explained. You expressed that you would still like the service and costs to be explained which my colleague attempted to do. It was clear that your expectation was that you should not have to pay us if the outcome of contact was not positive. We have no power to demand that any individual agrees to have contact or any other request you make of them but we work with everyone we contact to encourage them to consider your request and to provide them with any support/guidance they may need throughout.
As I am sure any reasonable person would understand, to get to the conclusion of any case we have to first conduct the research and search and then the intermediary and this is the service that our fees cover. The fees are for us to identify/locate and contact an individual, whether they wish to reunite with our client is not a decision we are in control of. We are very transparent on the many potential outcomes and do not pressure anyone to go ahead. If you feel the service is not for you then there has been no cost to you to arrive at that decision. If you do proceed it will be with a full understanding of how we work. What we can and will do along with what we can’t and won’t do.
You became very confrontational and rude to my colleague. Including name calling, personal insults and even mocking his accent. This is not acceptable and is not tolerated. You have then chosen to leave a review which has several untrue statements regarding the service, none of which was information given to you on the call, and which once again personally attacks my colleague.
It is simply untrue that we charge £750 to send a letter. All of our searches are inclusive of the intermediary service which includes corresponding with the subject and, once in contact, mediating with them regarding direct contact and providing guidance and ongoing support to both our client and the subject. We are always upfront about the cost of the service. There are no "more fees" to put you in touch with your lost loved ones, again this is simply untrue.
We are one of the only services of this kind offering this level of safeguarding, support and aftercare and so I do not agree that we take advantage of anyone or that we are immoral or unethical, quite the opposite in fact. Since no-one is obliged to use our service and our consultation (to explain how we can help and the cost of the service) is free of charge then I do not understand why you believe we are taking advantage of people. We are a small but dedicated team who work incredibly hard to offer a service to those who have been estranged from loved ones. We are very proud of our work, the service we offer and the support and safeguarding we offer to both clients and subjects we locate.
Whilst we thank you for your enquiry we would agree that our service does not align with your expectations and so have deleted your enquiry from our system.
